    Man, that's fantastic, didn't know Octane could render standard C4D Fog Volumes straight out of the box, that's a genius tip, thank you!

    Amazing!! One question, is it possible to animate the clouds slightly, like just have the volume change up a little big as they're floating?

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is technically possible in a way i think, but it will probably looks bad, its always worth trying tho. Only concering part for me is Volume displacement becouse this have its own position if im correct so if it will get animated volume underneath it will probably looks odd, similar to noise that "slide" on animated object becouse its in box projection instead of UV projection, only diffrence is that can be fixed, and volume wouldnt have such a fix.

      Thanks! You are talking about OSL displacement right? well it might just not be possible to make it move with model itself unfortunetly, thats one of the limitation.

In short, at some point i will definitly do tutorial about foams, this weekend i will also upload tutorial about bubbles.

    • @NojsGraphics

      If its gray in render view, i cover that part in that tutorial as well, basicly you need to crank up certain sample settings higher than usually

      To make it easier you need to change Octane render mode to Path tracing rather than Direct Lighting.

    Thank you for awesome tut! Is it possible to animate a cloud position with a displacement? when I move the volume builder, displacement is not moving with Volume builder.

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Glad you like it, im not sure if displacement itself can be animated, i dont think it would be since its quite simple setup with a lot of shortcuts. But i know that you can animate it just like you would animate volume builder mesh. Was actually thinking of doing tutorial about it, but i left the idea for now. You can for example put shader field with animated noise and get nice clouds/fog for your scene.

    • @regosann
      @regosann 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NojsGraphics Thank you for reply! Sorry, my explanation was not good.
      I'm hoping that when the cloud moves, it maintains the shape of the displacement as it moves.
      Can I prevent the shape of the displacement from changing when I move the cloud?

      Hej, myślę że w takim przypadku to inne workflow jest potrzebny, ten workflow nadaję się do bardzo szybkiego stworzenia prostej chmurki w prosty sposób bez symulacji. W twoim przypadku wymagało by to właśnie symulacji, jeśli używasz C4D to ono teraz ma coś takiego jak "Pyro" jest to natywny sposób na symulacje tego typu rzeczy w C4D w dość zrozumiały sposób w porównaniu do innych opcji.
