JB's mind is sharp as a tack for one of his last interviews. The body is giving up but his beautiful spirit and humbleness is a gift to watch. Glad he gave such an extensive interview. A legend that lives on with so many fans RIP Jack Bruce
Jack Bruce the consummate professional musician... Could do it all, sing, play cello, piano, guitar, harmonica and the greatest rock, blues and jazz bassist ever...! RIP Mr. Bruce
Madeleine Hague Yet I cried when I saw one of my favorite bass players looking so bad, and then dying. Being 63 years old myself, I'm really starting to feel mortal :(
Breaks my heart to see this giant afflicted by the realities of old age and sickness. He was one reason I picked up the bass, and my first bass was a cherry red Gibson SG. RIP to one of the coolest bass players and gentle souls that ever lived.
Jack lit the musical fire in me back in 1967 and I was never the same. Huge influence in my life. I never tire of hearing a Bruce/Brown Cream song. They keep me going 50+ years
A life well lived. All gifts given. The mastery of music. You have been a legend in your own time, Jack; and will live on in our hearts. A big influence on my music in my younger days. You kept the magic alive for all of us, almost right up to the end. Blessings in the bardo.
Love that guy. Jack Bruce inspired me to play the bass. He is my all time favorite musician, composer, arranger and humanitarian. R.I.P. Jack....The world is a sadder place now that you're gone.
His bass playing was as unique as his voice which was as unique as his songwriting. What a loss to this world. What a gain for heaven.Rest in peace my brother.
One of the most unique musicians of all time. If you are not familiar with his catalog, get all of it! you will be blown away by the originality of all of it.Towers above most 'classic rock'. RIP Jack-Thanks for the music. You won't be forgotten.
Just heard that jack has died. Absolutely gutted. The voice and bass of the first band to put 'heavy' into rock. Another legend leaves us. Thanks for all the great music jack - your legacy will never die
Saw this guy live twice, his VOICE was so rich and booming it resonated all over till it got into your bones. Truly a magistrate of performance, incredibly stylistic bass playing, and soulful interpretation of the blues. What a guy! God bless Jack, I loved you when you were here on this planet. I imagine in heaven you'll be blowing out those who don't deserve to be there. Kindly I hope.
So sad to hear the news of your passing Jack. A truly inspirational musician, legendary performer and a huge influence to many bassists and musicians alike. A terrible loss..... My deepest condolences to your family and friends.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS INTERVIEW . Jack was and still is one of my life long hero's . So sad to hear about his passing . There will never be another multi talented artist like him again .
I love Jack. This was a great interview. The interviewer asked good questions, let Jack expound, and really created a revealing and highly entertaining interview. I know that Jack was close to the end here but it’s lovely to see someone in that place that continues to create and look forward to more. 🌞
Thanks for posting this new interview. - But watching Jack's discography precisely, there is no doubt that the solo album from 1971, "Harmony Row", is his outstanding masterpiece. A damn real classic!!!
Jack passed October 25, 2014. I wonder what month of 2014 this interview was recorded? Thx CherryRedTV for posting this wonderful interview of Jack Bruce.
considering the number of years and stages and songs...how would he contemplate the brief spot on the stream of time ? did he have interest in humanity? i saw interest in his voice and eyes when he sang "a theme for an imaginary western" in remembrance of his friend "Felix Parlarddi" see you in the restoration times Jack ***😌😌😌😌
DR LECTER in 62 everybody wanted to be Paul McCartney because he was cute. By 67 everybody wanted to buy a Gibson bass . R.I.P. Jack blow Jesus out of his throne. Love Rocky.
If I was coming up with a no-ego dream band he'd be my first pick with Joe Walsh and Jim Gordon quickly right behind. I then would hire Ben Tench on keys...what a glorious mess it would be.
I have mused about the great Blind Faith that could have been---with Bruce (instead of Ric Grech) and the rest of the lineup. The biggest disappointment with Blind Faith was the songwriting. I saw their US tour (in Aug 1969) and the first album (only album) was so weak that the concert's song list was forced to rely on Cream songs recycled to include Winwood. A Traffic song or two was included for some of the shows. Instead imagine Winwood and Bruce teaming up to create songs!
Oh God, he went downhill so fast. Saw him in Bilbao (don't remember the year, 2000 and something) and he looked much stronger. He was in a foul temper because the people there couldn't understand his jokes. Started with a great version of Theme for an Imaginary Western, which he sang with the powerful voice I associate with him. The rest was loud Cream-type stuff that didn't go down too well
Pity jack and mick taylor didnt really ever get things going together. Terrible loss for the stones and for taylor frankly. Bloody smack ......f- -ked up so many amazing talents !
Jesus ! The interviewer must have realised the guy was about to cash in his chips ! He went ahead anyway ! " Tell me Jack , what plans do you have for the future..!?!? "

Yes, RIP Jack.

So moving to see Jack so frail, yet funny, honest, humble. The world lost a fabulous musician, Oct. 25, 2014.
Madeleine Hague Yet I cried when I saw one of my favorite bass players looking so bad, and then dying. Being 63 years old myself, I'm really starting to feel mortal :(
Aw…you are someone with a heart. Enjoy Jack's great catalogue of music…that's what he'd want.
Madeleine Hague I'm sure he would, and I do...I still feel incredibly sad about his passing :(
Me too. Eric looks so healthy and happy these days. Drugs, cancer and losing his son before his time, took a big toll. A wonderful guy.
Agree, sad. But honestly not that the interviewer looked muche better uh?

Two of the three have gone to their reward. Legends, all of them.

Hard to see Jack so frail. He used to play with tremendous vigor and vitality. A great musician and member of a great writing team with Pete Brown.
When I had LP's, Jack's were among my favorites. Songs For A Tailor, and others.
What a sweet man. RIP Mr. Jack Bruce.
such a humble man!
Bless him he was a brilliant musician I was hooked listening to his voice in Cream and then his wonderful albums. Harmony row is my favourite. ❤️ xx
Sweetest man. Badass bass player. Huge talent. World needs more like Jack Bruce. First bass I bought was a Gibson SG just to be like him.
Oh, he looks so ill. I was in Ireland when he died and I cried a bit.
What a great musician!
Yes, I think he might be wearing that big coat to try and disguise how thin he really was (I might be wrong) Such a talent.
R.I.P. Jack, thanks for the tunes.
Kind man....loving soul....a Sovereign Spirit....Excellent Musician !!!!

Loved his music and ...what a career. RIP Jack.
Looks like his classic EB3 sitting right there next to him. Sweet!
This has to be one of, if not THE last interviews he did...5 months before death & certainly not looking very long for this world...R.I. P.

Sorry to see him looking like this.Great Guy.RIP.
Great musician It's his fault I started bass and I'm glad. Thank you for the inspiration
I'm *so* Glad.
Just a quick correction of your English, Marty (for your sake :)
You shouldn't say: "It's his fault ...".
You should say: "It's thanks to him ..." :)
Jack Bruce is a fenomen, poet of bass.
Jack played bass on My Boy Lollipop?! That’s just incredible.

Jack was in his final days here.. :( Kinda sad to watch. And now Ginger Baker has joined him. I hope they form a new band in Heaven :)
Hope they got over their differences after that Albert hall reunion show.
Wow he lived his live xxxx
Jackson looking similar to ginger here actually.

Nice interview
Can’t watch this video to its end. I have too much respect….
God bless Jack:-):-)
Not just a 'Rock Star'.An almost unsung musical genius.
RIP Jack
The difference between the scale lengths of the Gibson and the 50s P Bass pictured is ridiculous.
❤
Man jack is getting to that age :/ im glad his doing well
Damn it, Jack. You were supposed to outlive Ginger.
6arcsn1sky sad they’re both gone now
@@JakobSeidl Yes. Nobody Left from BBM now. Gary Moore, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker. They did a fantastic album together in 1994.....

He doesn’t look well here, but was as bright and articulate as always. Gone far too soon. ❤️
As you said......
Poor Jack looks near death. Poor guy, RIP Jack Bruce.
Poor Jack... He looked weak and visibly close to the end in this interview... 💔

I wish the interviewer was more skilled on this....
Lovely human being, the complete opposite of Ginger. The interviewer was horrendous btw

What did u want him to ask? Funeral arrangements?
already looked like the death
Looks like he was 2 days from death here. Here in the USA our President Joe Biden has the same knocking on death's door look.
Give it a rest. And trump looked better in orange make up?
