Great video Manders! We still use your tech sheet for rigging halibut rigs up here at the lodge. You have caught more big butts at our Alaskan lodge than most of our guests.
Salmon works too. Especially the more oily species. Fillet out in a herring shape. Used to commercial fish 'buts in Alaskan waters. When angling on Puget's Sound for 'buts, my first choice in bait is frozen squid on circle hooks. Stays on the hook better than other baits because most areas being fished for 'buts up here hold strong currents. Ling cod don't mind frozen squid, either, and Lings are likely to be 'incidentsl catch' when fishing for halibut in rockier areas.
Write ✍️ a letter to the department. Then get out, volunteer to help with things you want done ✅ and get some like minded folks together to fix things. Only way it’s going to happen. I’m in Minnesota and feel your pain. But, you have to admit, this was an awesome video that beautiful lady made, with great detail and information ℹ️. I liked it!
