Nah I need y'all to understand how rare of a vocalist Chen is.He debuted already so ahead of his peers and then went straight from a rookie group to the biggest group in the industry, having multiple comebacks and tours yearly. Do you know how rare it is for a singer to avoid vocal damage? Even good vocalists have regressed throughout the course of their career but this vocal god has not only maintained his voice, he's never stopped improving. He has a lower range that outdoes most baritones in kpop and can traverse to a soprano range. He's genuinely a one in a million vocalist. Honestly, if Chen made the transition to opera or broadway he could succeed with ease because he did what a lot of singers can't and mastered his instrument.
From his predebut days his vocals were already so good I don't know how he does it everytime but I keep getting surprised at how much he's improving!!! (eventhough he already reached the top!) his passion for music is so inspiring, really! I can't wait till we hear his new side in 2022 ㅠ^ㅠ

I myself was shocked when I first heard everytime (ost) and then next drop that (exo). I was like how is this the same guy.... Thank you one of favorite soondingies ,its good you mentioned original singers of the covers too. He was outstanding since beginning but his improvement is amazing too specially his tone has become more manly rich. My favorite thing about him is his emotion delivery it is so amazing,outstanding , and his facial expressions make me stare at him. Only good thing SM did is giving him chance to sing in public events and with his seniors other than that so dissapointed with screen time and publicity to him.
