This song is really emotional in a good way.. We're so so proud our of Jin for making the right decision. It hurts coz he has to live for a while but as what the mv shows that he will be back to his family Bts and Army.. Im crying.

Jin explained this in the livestream he did for the song's release: Chris Martin wrote lyrics in English and sent a demo to Jin. He asked Jin to write the first verse in Korean, then liked the sound so much that he asked Jin to write the second verse in Korean as well. They're not translations of Chris Martin's lyrics at all; they're original Korean lyrics from Jin.
Jin wrote most of his solo songs and it's always beautiful :)

Actually I'm surprised you were not expecting this sound from Jin because personally this WAS something I was expecting. His voice is just made for pop-rock songs like this and that's why I wanted him to collab with Coldplay so bad.
Also you got it on first glance omg, yes the little girl was supposed to represent armys. Jin is an astronaut who crash landed on earth and became friends with that girl. At first he was excited to go to his planet since his ship got repaired but then he realized that his true home is with that girl on earth and decided to stay. In short it's Jin saying his home is armys and BTS (some small objects loved by the other members were placed in his room) and he will always come back to them.

What surprised me the most was just how wonderful of an actor Jin is. I felt everything in my heart. all by watching his face. plus the little bit of action, like flipping the polaroid to dry it much faster, being lead around in almost a trance of experiencing new things. Breaking that fourth wall and remaining in character.
He didn’t major in Performing Arts for nothing 😂 he was amazing in the Japanese MV for Blood, Sweat & Tears (the scene with V)

Actually this song is just Jin's vibe. Epiphany is already a Brit-melody rock. His sounds are always been this vibe. You need listen to more Jin's solos. They are incredible!!!

Coldplay did such an amazing job creating the music for this. And then Jin with his angel vocals.
Jin has a classic tone to his voice which makes him very versatile as a singer. I love his lower register, which is very warm, reasonant and carries a lot of emotion. I'd like to see him develop and show more of himself in the future. I hope he can find time to practice while he is stationed.

His voice is a nurtured voice, but he develop it so he have such quality that can’t be replaced. The warm tone, classic feel, calming vibration. Who thought this is the voice from a guy who is scouted for his looks. It give me perception that if I nurture myself, keep doing my lessons diligently, I will reach certain results. He give me so much strength and inspiration.
ps: when I said his voice is nurtured, by all means I don’t say that he have no/less singing talent. There are singer who basically have gem in their raw voice, ie Barbara Streissand, Beyonce. But there are other person that they have less impact about their singing voice but get so much better with training and lessons.

It got on a radio station in the Philippines. It's possible.
In his livestream, Jin said Chris/Coldplay wrote the song and sent it to him. Chris felt the 1st verse should be in Korean, so Jin wrote that. And then a day or two before Jin was set to film the music video, Chris was double checking the song and felt that the 2nd verse should be in korean too, so Jin wrote that quickly and sent it back to Chris for confirmation before filming started. So they did write and work on it together.

The love in Coldplay concert with Jin could see Chris adores BTS very much. The hug he was waiting for Jin and his smile when Jin was performing showed all his love and appreciation.
My first time hearing the song was the live version and I had straight tears. Jin is not my bias but this song has so much emotion and heart in it since it is his love letter to ARMY that I just couldn't hold back the tears. I know this is hard for him and I know he has been wondering all year how things were going to go with the service to the country just as much as we have. It is like the first time I heard BTS cover Fix You by Coldplay... it had so much more meaning with how the boys feel about us, the fans. I couldn't stop the tears then, either. I am so glad he got to give this to us as his gift, even if I won't be able to put it on a playlist without tears each time I hear it.
Oh gosh I thought I wouldn't cry this time because I've been listening to this on repeat for an hour or so before I watched your reaction. But you getting almost choked up in the end got me this time though. And you got the whole thing right away! I mean...aaah I really thought I wouldn't cry this time.
I think that's the beauty of the music that's being created right now. Music has always been about feeling, but more so now than ever songs are really getting right into the feels. This one made me cry.

Another overlooked "BTS" collaboration is Suga's featured performance and producer in the Psy That That song!!! Funny note, Psy released Gangnam Style in 2012, and paved the way for Kpop globally. That That comes 10 years later, with Suga of BTS, a global phenomena!
Definitely hear the Coldplay influence. Chris Marin wrote the song with and for Jin, and then “gave” it to Jin.

Gone for 18 months on a new journey. Alone but not really alone u know because army is everywhere! i love it. The story of this MV is that Jin is an astronaut from outer world, and while traveling through the universe landed on Earth due to a broken spaceship. He was living on Earth waiting for his spaceship to be fixed so he can return to space. In the meantime he meets and creates a valuable relationship with the little girl (Army), who teaches him things, and in return, he helps Army to ride her bike (and be on her own). When his people finally come to get him on Earth, he excitedly runs and bicycles to the spaceship. Then, he realizes at the end that instead of returning to space, he wants to stay on Earth to be with his Army.💜

For those who didn't understand the story in the Mv
Jin is a alien in this mv who has lost his way and came to earth but he can't go back to his home because the spaceship is broken so he spends his time on earth hoping that one day someone will repair that spaceship and he will go back home until then he spends his time with a little girl ( Army) and made memories with her and one day he saw on the news that someone saw a mysterious light from that place he decides to leave earth and he gives is helmet to that girl ( its like telling army and members take care of yourself i hope you will be fine by yourself now ) and when he reaches the place to leave earth he realises that "This was his home all along" where he has people who love him and cherish him "WE ARE HIS HOME HIS FAMILY WHO BROUGHT LIGHT INTO HIS DARKNESS" and he rushed back to that Little girl and hops on the first ride he could get to reach his newly founded home✨ you can see the smile of relief on his face in the last scene that means he has found his home and he is happy now and at last he fills FAMILY in crossword puzzle and smiles to the camera it's like tell us that we are his family and he will come back to us because We are his home.

Jin had a tattoo on his neck that was in Braille and said ARMY in braille. Also the black blocks on the crossword spelled FOR ARMY in braille. Each of the words completed on the crossword were intentional as well

I have only been an ARMY the last three years and regret so much not knowing them from their debut. I will be 72 in two days and had the attitude that their music was not for me. Thank you for taking your time to understand BTS to the point that you became an ARMY. You were able to see them in a fresh light, whereas older ARMY's were quick to judge how they've changed over the years. You've showed me how much work and authenticity they still put into their music. And in this video you gave this song depth that I didn't know it had!
