Hamstring dont have a siginificant role in locking and unlocking. Thats because this motion of locking and unlocking happens at extremes of ROM. Thts at the end range of last 5 degree. We cannot rule out by saying it dont have any role, it do have as like any other muscle at around knee can infulence all motions. But in the locking and unlocking hamstring dont have a siginificant role which is commentable
sir can function of gluteus maximus muscle be attributed to its fiber contribution with the iliotibial band which is known to actually assist the function of ACL in restraining the anterior tibial translation, during open chain knee flexion ??? or the reasons are different in weight bearing and open chain motion??

Patellar tracking disorder is a condition in which patella shifts out of position when knee range of motion is done either when knee moves from flexion to extension or extension to flexion. We have seen that patella moves along with flexion as movement progress. If theres any abnormality this smooth motions may be altered and it may shift away from normal path. Oh yes gastroneimus u dont hv to worry with knee complex its main muscle for foot and ankle just remember the following points; 1. It help in knee flexion 2. Only muscle crossing ankle and knee if plantaris is absent 3.Maximum torque or force generate at knee extension 4. As flexion increases force generation capacity decreases or activity decreases 5. It mainly act as a stabilizing muscle in knee than mobilizer....good luck
