Going on one year! This time last year I made the decision! I had a failed version of this years ago when I fell off the wagon after about four months. You can see life for what it really is now and no more delusionals. Never felt better.
I think point #6 is the most relevant for me. I can go alcohol free for a long time (18 months is my record - ignoring childhood) but if I drink (or 'get drunk') for any reason then I tend to spend a month heavy drinking before starting out on the sober trail again.
What does that mean. I just look in the mirror and think, do I like who I see in the mirror. ? People who they see this person in the mirror, what's really inside his mind

I dont drink anymore . 2 years at least. 285lb to 185, 190ish. No diet. Just, stop drinking, and all the bad stuff . Junk food, sodas, inactivity.
