Man seeing Rob say “Hello you caught me….” And the trumpet starts playing in the background hit something deep inside me. I needed this back in my life, I don’t care what the list is about I just need Rob’s voice about anything video game related and that music. Could be 7 title menu that let us know we’re in for a treat and I’ll still hit watch faster than lightning.
I 100% agree, I don't want to take away from other hosts wanting to do their lists but Rob is just A PART of PlayStation for me at this point, PlayStation Access in its entirety is the best thing to exist when it comes to building a community from any developer, The content is fantastic, the personalities are engaging and lovely, and Rob's Friday Features are a key aspect I think of the whole channels success
I keep coming back for more of Rob's writing. We joke how he's not the best at CTR, how he rages in every single game he plays. His writing is impeccable, erudite, and well thought out. I need more please Rob!
@BaajAnima I love Fort Condor and Queen's Blood. The only mini game I've had to rage quit is the piano. I just can't do it. Why did they have to make the sticks the way to control the notes?! Why?!
7 Signs Friday Features are Back 1. You get insanely excited for Friday! 2. You start grouping things into sets of 7 3. You start missing fictional characters - Rob’s mum, Plat man, Mystic Mike, Dan 4. You wish you had a small puppet sidekick 5. You start drinking Dr. Pepper 6. You learn the word penultimate. hint: it’s not what you think 7. You start every conversation with “Hello! You’ve caught me…”
I don't think I have ever met someone that thinks penultimate means something else than what it means. You only ever encounter it in a context, where it is somewhat easy to figure out what it means, even if you haven't heard it before.
Finished that on my first try playing my third playthrough. Saved that playthrough, haha. I might have gotten bored and moved on to other games if I didn't, to be honest. Blitzball was always pretty easy for me. But the one thing I never had the patience for is the lightning dodging.
@@scotthart134 Yeah, the jump rope was too much. I've always tried it for some 10 minutes at the start of every playthrough with a mindset of "This time I will do it!", and getting disheartened very quickly.
It looks like you guys are just genuinely having fun with these! It's a joy to watch, love all the skits and and Nathan camio 😂👌 Rob's writing has only gotten better over the years. That kh bbs minigame gave me whiplash, holy crap it was annoying.
Someone needed to vent about the FF7 Rebirth minigames. I love Stardew.....but I heard that the creator regrets putting in the Junimo kart quest to get 50,000 points in endless mode (it's evil).
I got Final Fantasy IX's "Hail to the King" trophy. It took five days of practicing and experimenting, but I got there in the end. Never again, though! 😣
For me, thus far anyway, it’s gotta be the squat challenge from Final Fantasy 7: Remake. While an iconic mini game in a game filled with iconic moments, the Remake version of the Squat Challenge is especially difficult since you actually have to have a sense of rhythm to do the squats. You can’t just press the buttons in order like in the original game, you actually have to press them in time with the movements. I was practically screaming my lungs out at how frustrating this mini game was after my dozenth attempt at trying to beat Jules on hard difficulty. XP
The squats weren't that bad as the button prompts always had to be pressed in a circular order. The pull ups in chapter 14 and the sit ups from Rebirth however can go die in a hole.
As a joke, my ex girlfriend tried to get me to do the astoroid shooting bit in dead space. What she didn't know, is that i just completed the shooting challenge in Jak III. The bit where you shoot disc like orbs over the water. So, i beat the astorid bit on the first try, and she was very upset. Told me to get out of the room and leave her alone for the rest of the day. Which was fine, because then i could play whatever i wanted.
The Queen of Cards. This thing is rage-quit built directly into the game. FFVIII takes this crown, spins it around its finger, and pops it on its head at an angle while flashing you a cocky grin with all of the mouths on its cover.
Ah mini games. They can be a delight or a pain in the rear. I definitely prefer the former but as a completionist gamer I unfortunately have to deal with both.
I remember playing ratchet and clank games, I forget which installment it was but there was one with a mini game called “my blaster runs hot”. I also remember having tried it for 10-15 hours, failing miserably and becoming so scarred that I refuse to try it to this day.
PlayStation Access has been absolutely smashing it with the recent videos. Great job team! Love the skits & I'm still laughing about the Banana breaks in the Topspin Livesteam. #PODSQUAD
Thank you sir for bringing these Friday features back. The comfort food of list videos. Your like the friends of playstation channels. God bless you, I'm not religious but it's the sentiment that counts, I think.
The Lightning Dodger trophy on FF10, The Jump Rope trophy on FF9 bring back some horrific memories i also recall the flappy goat trophy in the Goat Simulator game too, arrrhhh the rage
The hover speeder racing in KOTOR I. I don't know how many times I had to retry beeting the NPC champion's top score, which required a near perfect race. Maybe not that difficult for people who play actual racing games regularly, but in an RPG that was basically turnbased (you could let it run in real time, but could pause any time to give orders), a mini game that required lightning fast real time reactions (or knowing the course absolutely by heart) was a bit annoying, especially since it could not be entirely avoided, because some of the races tied into crucial questlines.
no "My Blaster Runs Hot" in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time? That git of a game gave me all the feelings and very nearly cost me getting the platinum for the one to get 10k points.
Blitzball took me way too long to figure out... I was great on defense, but it took a million shots to score .. sadly I lost the game before I could figure it out.
Haven't played most on the list here, but I actually love the ice cream music beat game. It's fun for me and I complete it faster than journeying through Hollow Bastion. ❤🎉🍦
Sometimes there are final boss battles that are minigames. The final boss of Drakengard 3 is basically a rhythm mini-game like no-other. So many attempts but finally I got it done. Other than that part the whole game was pretty easy but I was determined to get the plat which I managed to do eventually. But those were my younger days in the time of PS3.
The Rapunzel cabinet in Catherine is the only mini game I've ever played that actually was harder than the game, and it only earns an honorable mention here? That's sad.
Fector's challenge almost cost me the plat on Stardew, I finally got the trophy in 2021 and haven't played journey of the prairie king since. Also, everybody talks about gambling 8 in rdr2 being impossible, but it was lvl 9, win 3 rounds of dominoes in a row, that almost drove me insane!
Those damn chests in Stellar Blade where you have to hit the arrows in random order. I need dozens of tries and can only beat it when you have to hit the same direction multiple times in a row. I'm getting to old for this kind of mini games.
I think My Blaster Runs Hot from R&CF: A Crack in Time definitely counts! It's also a really hard Bronze Trophy. LUCKILY, it actually has a co-op mode to make things a little easier, but if your sister has the top-down twin-stick shooting prowess of Clank with his right arm missing, your chances are still pretty poor!
Working on the mahjong for yakuza 0 platinum right now and I knew yakuza would be mentioned here. I was expecting something like sleeping dogs. That is not what I got
Rosie's silly montage of Yakuza mini-games was amusing. :D Also - Ugh, Fire and Sword: Spiders. I think what makes that one so bad is that the levels get so long and complex as you get further in, and there's generally only one right way to solve them, so if you get most of the way through a maze and make one mistake, you're gonna have to repeat each step that got you there when you inevitably die and have to restart.
I’m sorry but the crunches mini game is much worse than the Moogle wrangling in Rebirth. I spent two hours trying and failing the final challenge against Jules. It’s everything people hated about the pull ups mini game with the addition of two separate “stress” mechanics and you have to basically be perfect at it at all levels. So many times I was at 49 crunches only to fumble the inputs. I swear it feels borderline random at times.
I still can’t do the FF7 pull up challenge or crisis core godlike materia collecting speed run trophy. Yet can complete the game on hard. It’s horrible a stupid mini game robs me of a platinum
Hello, You've caught me absolutely loving that these Friday features are back!
Same
Still can't believe it ❤😂
It's too good! The dream would be the onesie getting back too!
Hello You've caught me agreeing with you!!!😂
They are the absolute best imo. Game on gamers. Be good to each other out there.

7 title menus would be pretty sweets. I mean 3-4 leap to mind and I'm always ready for more. 7:43
Same i missed these
Same.
Rob, Dave, Rosie, Dan, Nathan... and Delsin.
PERFECT FRIDAY FEATURE!
I keep coming back for more of Rob's writing. We joke how he's not the best at CTR, how he rages in every single game he plays. His writing is impeccable, erudite, and well thought out. I need more please Rob!
Before watching this video: "This list could be 7 minigames from FF7 Rebirth alone"
@BaajAnima I love Fort Condor and Queen's Blood. The only mini game I've had to rage quit is the piano. I just can't do it. Why did they have to make the sticks the way to control the notes?! Why?!
@@madalice5134 Love the piano mini-game so much. It's so good.

You get excited about bodies of water
The PS Access team feel fresh and fun again. ❤
I don't think I have ever met someone that thinks penultimate means something else than what it means. You only ever encounter it in a context, where it is somewhat easy to figure out what it means, even if you haven't heard it before.
Rosie being able to bang out all those individually distinct character voices was very impressive!
Two words - Flappy Goat.
That mini game is the reason I still don't have the Goat Simulator platinum. Such an infuriating mini-game that one.
Definitely. I got the plat, but don't mistake that for me bragging about my skills in the game - it was a combination of pure luck & stubbornness.
Having the Friday Features back has helped me get through the worst third trimester ever. Thank you team Access. ❤❤
Nates in a box to stay fresh
That line about letting Sephiroth destroy all life had me rolling! Like it's so relatable if you have ever felt that wrath inside! Lol!
WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!? Apparently, Nathan and another Friday feature! Never stop making these! Happy weekend, everyone! ✌️😇
Woah, spoiler alert!
*"Farming" There's a reason is one letter away from HARMING."* I laugh so hard at that😂
Phantom Menace Dan back on camera & around 20% of Nath. I bet Rosie had a blast playing Yakuza dress up.
Nath's head in a box was like something out of a Suda 51 game 😂 (Killer 7 etc)
The Chocobo dodge game in FFX to get the celestial item is my pick. Those damn birds!
It's been said so many times I was glad to see someone ignore it for once.
This one was definitely hard and annoying af🤣
Finished that on my first try playing my third playthrough. Saved that playthrough, haha. I might have gotten bored and moved on to other games if I didn't, to be honest. Blitzball was always pretty easy for me. But the one thing I never had the patience for is the lightning dodging.
I always found Blitzball fun and yeah I could never get through the lightning dodges or jump rope from ff9 no matter how much time I sank into it.
@@scotthart134 Yeah, the jump rope was too much. I've always tried it for some 10 minutes at the start of every playthrough with a mindset of "This time I will do it!", and getting disheartened very quickly.

hello, you've caught me
im a fish
Now I’m imagining the fish head news anchor from SpongeBob making a cameo, and I thank you for that.
hello, you've caught me

Good luck with Rebirth mate
@@inferknowingfrank Oh i already did it. It just took me a couple of days worth of attempts to finally get it. The pull ups took me a whole week lol.
As a joke, my ex girlfriend tried to get me to do the astoroid shooting bit in dead space. What she didn't know, is that i just completed the shooting challenge in Jak III. The bit where you shoot disc like orbs over the water.

The Queen of Cards.

Ice Cream Beat....took me weeks, now I NEVER have to play it EVER AGAIN at least.
The BBS minigames for the plat almost drove insane. Doing all that and the whooole Mirage Arena 3 time was brutal
Rebirth. All those god damn mini games broke me. Moogle mischief is the one mini game I actually enjoyed.
I did not enjoy it but it was not hard either, only the last one I failed a few times.
I enjoyed a lot of rebirth mini games but hated the moogle one 😅
3d brawler last 3 (Ifrit, the middle manager, and Sephiroth) are total BS.
@@Danboo21531 Sephiroth is actually super easy.
Love to see "new" entries into Friday features!
Truly, eff Journey of the Prairie King.
Ah mini games. They can be a delight or a pain in the rear. I definitely prefer the former but as a completionist gamer I unfortunately have to deal with both.
Rob, Dave, Nathan, you guys are truly back and at your best. It is so good to have you back and making new top-level content together.
Was not expecting Rob to do a gruf cowboy accent 🤣
the blasted card games in EVERY Final Fantasy game
The stupid drinking mini game in Watch Dogs is the only thing standing in my way of the platinum trophy.
me too
The production quality of these videos are amazing.
I remember playing ratchet and clank games, I forget which installment it was but there was one with a mini game called “my blaster runs hot”. I also remember having tried it for 10-15 hours, failing miserably and becoming so scarred that I refuse to try it to this day.

Yay Friday features are back! You caught me doing my happy dance!
Farming there’s a reason it’s one letter away from harming 😂😂 made my day

Wow, "Huge Bear". Such an intimidating name. Way more intimidating than, I don't know, Blood-Starved Beast ? Orphan of Kos ? Metal Gear REX ?
Thank you sir for bringing these Friday features back. The comfort food of list videos. Your like the friends of playstation channels.
God bless you, I'm not religious but it's the sentiment that counts, I think.

Rosie’s yakuza minigames should be a new segment. 😂
The Lightning Dodger trophy on FF10, The Jump Rope trophy on FF9 bring back some horrific memories i also recall the flappy goat trophy in the Goat Simulator game too, arrrhhh the rage

Woo! Friday features!
no "My Blaster Runs Hot" in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time? That git of a game gave me all the feelings and very nearly cost me getting the platinum for the one to get 10k points.
Onimusha 2 and 3 had some difficult mini games. The Man in Black in Onimusha 2 and the target shooting mini game in Onimusha 3 were pretty tough.
Hello, you've caught me finally getting back into my routine of watching Friday Feature every week with my dinner
Why can I imagine Rob saying "No, I don't think it was quite right, can we redo the kazoo and ice cream bit again? I'll go buy some more magnums."
Please God! Let these "friday features" videos never end! 😍😍😍
Hello, you caught me squealing with joy that Rob is back with the Friday Features…
The Cactuar mini game in World of Final Fantasy. It's mind-numbing. To this day, I'm not sure how I was able to get past it.
Moogle Mischief was annoying but proccing the Trophy was so satisfying after I did the last one
I never had a problem with the asteriod part in Dead Space or the Kingdom Hearts BBS minigames.
I'm so thrilled that the Friday Feature is back. I literally dropped watching the channel during the hiatus. ❤
The obstacle course at the carnival in Legend of Dragoon still haunts my memories.
Blitzball took me way too long to figure out... I was great on defense, but it took a million shots to score .. sadly I lost the game before I could figure it out.
rob's friday feature is just the best
This was an amazing episode. And yes, I do want to play EVEN MORE Sega games!
If half of these aren't FF7 Rebirth...
Haven't played most on the list here, but I actually love the ice cream music beat game. It's fun for me and I complete it faster than journeying through Hollow Bastion. ❤🎉🍦
Yay, love the return of the Friday Feature ❤
Friday Features now being back are yet another reason why Friday is the best day of the week!
I hated the Sudoku puzzles in Mass effect Andromeda
The squatting minigame in FF7 remake was annoying as hell too
Loved the Friday Features being back!!! Makes my weekend!!!!
I can't believe this feature comes right after I managed to get 0.0.0 on the chocobo race in Final Fantasy X after way too many hours of pain 😂
Playing Fort Condor and the box buster challenges in Episode Intermission...
It dragged the DLC down for me, I just wanted to fight enemies 😅
The butterfly catching mini game in FFX. Pretty much any mini game in any FF title now that I think about it.
The Rapunzel cabinet in Catherine is the only mini game I've ever played that actually was harder than the game, and it only earns an honorable mention here? That's sad.
I knew jounery of the prairie king was going to be here. That is a brutal mini game
Really? Moogle over the Kid G hard mode minigames? Espeically aerith (I have plat rebirth but I found Kid G hard mode the hardest minigame)
Agreed! Kid G and his Cactuars are the WORST! Especially on Expert!
Love seeing Dan back on camera!
Woooh a mention of Catherine, however brief! Still need to 100% that game, and yeah, Rapunzel is gonna be a nightmare.
If you thought Ice Cream Blast was bad, try the Goron Dancing mini-game from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
Stellar blade has a fishing minigame! Im even more sold on it
Those damn chests in Stellar Blade where you have to hit the arrows in random order. I need dozens of tries and can only beat it when you have to hit the same direction multiple times in a row. I'm getting to old for this kind of mini games.
The worst part of the ice cream minigame in khbbs is that is mandatory.
Love that the Friday Feature is back!
I got my Journey Of The Prarie King with no deaths trophy finally...
6 years of on and off trying. I now have the Platinum.
I'm surprised that flappy goat from Goat Simulator isn't on there, Daaave??
Moogle minigame..did a few..totally ignored them after that. Finished the game with much moogle coin and no interest in exchange.
You could do a whole list on just fishing minigames
Wonderful Nath appearance!
3:25 So THAT'S where Nathan has been the whole time.
Thank goodness the Friday Features are truly back, best bit of the week Rob!
Anything card based. I almost uninstalled Final Fantasy Rebirth after 2h of playing when they introduced Queens Blood.
Working on the mahjong for yakuza 0 platinum right now and I knew yakuza would be mentioned here. I was expecting something like sleeping dogs. That is not what I got
King Rob why isn't he wearing his crown today 😂he's the king of making Friday perfect
Rosie's silly montage of Yakuza mini-games was amusing. :D

Always a good day when Dan makes an appearance
I’m sorry but the crunches mini game is much worse than the Moogle wrangling in Rebirth. I spent two hours trying and failing the final challenge against Jules. It’s everything people hated about the pull ups mini game with the addition of two separate “stress” mechanics and you have to basically be perfect at it at all levels. At the beginning of the video…. This better have the Gym challenges in FF7 remake 😂
I still can’t do the FF7 pull up challenge or crisis core godlike materia collecting speed run trophy. Yet can complete the game on hard. It’s horrible a stupid mini game robs me of a platinum
I cannot stress enough how much we have needed these Friday features. Thank you Rob 🎉🎉🎉
how long has friday feature been back?! Ive missed them so!
How did hyper dodger chocobo not make this list? An absolute arse of a minigame.
