Nice old machine! My grandpa did tiling and dirt work when he farmed, he had a big ole Parsons 736 tracked wheel tiling machine that was Detroit powered. He did a lot of tiling in Grundy, Blackhawk and Tama county. It was a big ol thing the pit is still in the shed so he could drop the wheel down it to park it.
@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling We are fairly dry but have got rain when needed, no rain is fine for the rock crusher but 3 days after it gets fixed it likes to shit the bed again, moynas has no maintenance its just go go and they haven't taken that crusher in the shop in 4-5 years ago it's falling apart weld by weld...
my neighbor across the street operated a tiling machine with clay tile. He had someone inside the boot to put down the tiles. He ran his son through the wheel one day. I was never allowed to be in the same county as the running machine. I did see it scratch the gravel driveway,,one day . but his crew were very strict about running the machine with me there/ I was maybe 5 at the time
That was the good old days of tiling.... clay ... bundles and bundles of clay tile.. Sharp on the edges too .... but it worked and did a lot of goof for the soil ....
Will you set up and use the pull type Vermeer tile trencher? I have purchased one of the exact Vermeer pull type trenchers that you have, my problem is the tractor I planned on using a 7610 JD, my dealer could not figure out how to add the creeper gear to it. So am going to use the winch setup that came with it for now, not sure how that will work
My apologies I missed your comment / question ..... we sold our PT18... went with this wheel machine instead .. the wheel trenchers work much better in our area bc you can get down in the trench and work ..... yes, you'll need the vermeer winch attachment .... to bad your tractor isn't IVT - they work well to tile with
Good soil, good conditions - at 3 to 4 ft depth probably 40 ft a min at least ... Right now, the grounds about like steel - beyond hard - and were digging deep (6ft) .. so we're only going about 7 ft a mjn
I'm glad you can keep all that into prospective 👍👍👍👍
thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Have to love working with a machine that is paid for.
For sure ... It's nice ... no pressure, sit back and enjoy life a little ... less stress ...

Good vidio, do you still have that red tile stringer with the big tires?
Thanks very much.... I sold that trailer
How many ft per hour would that do
Really depends upon soil and depth .... hard, and deep - low as 3ft min ... but only say 4 ft depth in good moist dirt - probably 40 ft a min or more
How many feet can you dig in a hour with the Speicher going 3-4' deep?
