- Mexico is a beautiful place to Scuba Dive, and Cozumel is one of the top scuba diving and snorkeling destinations in the Riviera Maya the Caribbean. It's unique for its drift diving, marine life, and beautiful dive sites. There are a few in particular, called Palancar Bricks, Palancar Gardens, and Palancar Caves. These sites are all part of Palancar coral reef, and are like swimming through a cathedral. Towers and caves of coral rise over you, and run beneath you.
Cozumel is a special island. During the day the big cruise ships, especially Carnival Cruises, unload thousands of people looking for Cozumel excursions. Most go shopping, but the smart few find a local dive shop and get on a boat. If you travel all this way and don't see underwater, you're missing the biggest draw to the island.
I ended up doing a lot of dives here over the past couple years. When editing this video, it was hard for me to cut it into a few minutes for youtube. I settled on just cutting together the dive of Palancar Gardens. That's the dive site if you're curious!

I went diving in that exact spot two days ago for my birthday. (I turned 13) and I had been certified 3 months ago. It was amazing and I wish to go back soon.

Yes , I scuba dive . Actually we ( my wife and I ) just came back from Playa del Carmen where we had been diving for almost a month. We are planning to go back , this time to Cozumel , in October . Very nice video by the way .
Hey Mike, I was certified "Open Water" in 1988, I've made over 100 dives in fresh water. I planned to do Mexico then but life happened. I experienced my first reef in 2017 (do the math) 9 months later I'm going back to share it with my daughter, give her the gift of diving. Great video, wonderful experience.

We just got back from Cozumel , We were there for 36 nights . We dove many sites and enjoyed Palancar site the most. I am a rescue diver and my girlfriend is a advanced diver. Very nice video

I have been diving since I was able to get my license I think at 16 I'm now 22 and have had the blessing to dive this particular location many times I love the island of Cozumel and I call it my second home

It was incredible. Got in 3 dives, 2 in Cozumel (Palancar wall, and another drift dive I forget the name of) and one off Tulum.

been to Cozumel and is beautiful, tried to go to the underwater museum in Isla Mujeres, but since it was my first time trying to scuba drive I left it to the very end, and I didn't know you can't take a plane for a while after doing it, so I had to pass... try to go to Holbox Island, it's a paradise, greetings, and congratulations for this mesmerising video, you are great.
Yeah, well, you learn the hard way once and then you don't forget. Haven't been to holbox yet! Would love to go next year

Mike Corey you should really consider vlogging your expat life that is a huge community you could be tapping into. It's a pretty big sceen in South East Asia so I'm sure there's a TH-cam expat community there too.
Man I've been thinking about that a lot recently. It's a time commitment thing, and I want to be able to do it the right way.
