This scene was really heartbreaking! I totally get why the doctor had to do this to her, but joy's reaction and her frustrations bubbling over was really emotional to watch! 😢😊
We had to comfort my Grandma over the phone while my Grandad (her husband of 50+ years) was in hospital fighting for her life. We couldn't go see her because of "the rules". This scene wasn't "on the nose" or "too far" it is the lived experience of people up and down the country. All while those damn people with their wine fridges showed nothing but contempt.

I get the impression that she kind of needed that really. She needed someone to break through the wall she built around her trauma.
