Good morning,
I am current dental aspirant in UNN currently doing a predegree program right now.
I want to ask for your advice if should go on with this career, because i spoke with a doctor and he advised me to go for medicine saying dentistry is to limiting compared to the vastness of medicine.
I also don’t know how possible it is to shadow a dentist in Nigeria i feel dentistry is just not as known as medicine.
I am honestly confused but my reasons for being a doctor and a dental doctor are pretty much the same the only difference why I feel more called to dentistry
Its autonomy of the profession the fact i can do everything in a one man squad kind of vibes
The second is the dental chair it looks cool and i would love a lot of hands on skills i feel like it would be fun even though I hear the procedures dentist fo a monotonous in nature I don’t really know.
The last is i get to own my hospital/clinic relatively faster than a medical student would if i go into private practice.
The your expertise would be appreciated.
