Probably affect their accents when they were young and then when they got older and was taking their music more seriously traveling to America some people aren’t use to hearing Aussie accents and will mistake what they are saying often. It’s just the matter of slow progression accents are maybe like second languages to people 5SOS still have them and they shine when they want but it’s not always their out of respect they want people to understand them and not get confused.

He isn’t trying to hard and if so that’s not his fault in a interview it’s difficult when no one is understand what your saying.
