@H K yeah! Oh wow. This is the earliest I have ever been to a Taz video. She has summed it up so well. Waking up at 5 am is easy. It's the sleeping early that's hard. I used to really be into trying the morning and evening routines here in YT. The morning routines were easy for me. It was the evening routines that were really freaking hard. I could never stick to them. I really respect people who can sleep early.
Hi Taz, the reason you won’t fall asleep till 3am despite going to bed earlier is because your circadian rhythm is preventing you from falling asleep. Because you’ve been sleeping and waking up at certain times regularly, you body has changed it’s circadian rhythm to match. When you decide to sleep and wake up earlier, your body will take some time to adjust, and so you won’t be able to make your body fall asleep early, even if you have been tired the whole day. Trust me, I have the same problem. Also, earlier you were trying to fall asleep, and you decidedly to scroll on your phone. While it’s a way to pass the time, the light will cause your body to think it’s daytime and will keep you up. If you wanted to sleep more, put your phone aside and turn off all lights in your room, close your eyes and just wait. Next thing you know, you’ll be awake for the next day.
It’s hard in the beginning to sleep at night for you due to your circannual rhythm that has gotten used to sleeping later at night. All you need is time and constancy to make waking up at 5am a habit of yours.

I would recommend to get a sleep pattern test by spending a night at the hospital (it's called POLYSOMNOGRAPHY). It's a comprehensive test used to diagnose sleep disorders, I just had mine done and found out that my brain doesn't rest even when I'm "fully asleep", that's why I'm always so tired and exhausted even if I just slept for 10hours. That would be the ADHD Taz. Really it's common to have a "natural" sleep schedule closer to 4 to 12 if you are neurodivergent. I'm autistic and before taking meds I usually fell asleep between 2 and 4 regardless of how much sleep I had, I could have all nighters and then don't fall asleep until those times. If you ask me, things will be easier if you stop trying things like "normal people". Maybe look advice from other adhd people, it's more likely to work. Also maybe instead of going for 5 am try to get up at 8 or 9, it would be easier. Even with meds I normally go to sleep between 11 and 12 at night because before that it's almost impossible, so you could try something less "radical" that aligns better with your natural rithm.
I'm literally just 14 but I sleep at around 11- 11.30 pm, sometimes 12 and wake up at 5.30 to get to school lol. I maximum get around 6. 5 per day and yeaa lol its pretty much 70-80% of the students here in Singapore getting less than 7 hours of sleep once they become 11
I’ve had a rash for 6 weeks now. Got it 2 days after my first covid jab. Have been to A&E a few times because of it, but been diagnosed with Urticaria. There seems to be a lot of allergic reactions going around at the moment so be careful and stay safe 😘🧡
Calamine lotion works wonders for hives or rashes. I used it when i was younger and had chicken pox. Find what works for you for a sleep schedule, i wouldnt try to force it. And i suggest listening to your body, and ask yourself am i hungry, sleepy or am i bored.
I remember hearing about the nap lifestyle. I have never tried it, but its supposed to be you are awake for 4 hours and then nap for 20 minutes awake for 4 hours and nap for 20 minutes. you go through like this and then you spend a total of 2 hours sleeping a day. Honestly I dont think I have enough things to do in the day to spend 22 hours awake
I got hives breakouts after eating my first cheese dog too..then i got hives everytime i eat seafood, meat, when hot, when stress..calamine makes it itches more..i use aloe vera gel/black seed oil to reduce the itchiness..
Well _the chair_ is actually meant for worn clothes that can't go back into the wardrobe but aren't dirty enough for the laundry. I do fold these clothes as well, I like it when it looks nice.
Not saying you have it, but it might be worth reading about delayed sleep phase syndrome. Its where you consistently find it hard to fall asleep at a normal time, and find yourself naturally falling asleep a few hours later than most people.

Scrolling on your phone before sleep or watching tv or streaming will keep you awake. I did it for years. A few months ago, I stopped and started reading books for I go to sleep. You have to have a nighttime routine to let your brain know that it's time to sleep. I am ADHD too, so I know the struggle.
i can relate to every single thing that taz said....i decide to go to bed early like not early like 8pm but at least 11pm....but i end up staying up past midnight like 3 or 4 am...and the darkcircles r not helping at all...kk i'll stop ranting...byeeee
I've got exactly the same sleeping pattern. I mostly fall asleep at 2-3am, and it's been like that since I was a child. Sometimes, I just can't fall asleep at night and I take naps during the day (even more now that I've been stuck home most of the time because of covid and WFH). So, I can quite relate to these 5am videos, it is just like watching myself as I have the same habits/tricks/ticks. I could also wake up at 5am sometimes, but it'd be because I fell asleep pretty early the day before (a bit too early indeed).
16:10 (this is just what I think) Because you go to sleep so late usually, your body kind of has taken it as a habitual thing? Example: since you're usually awake at 1AM or have recently mostly been awake at 1AM, your body automatically considers it as an "awake time". That's why even if you have very little sleep, your brain thinks 1AM is an "awake time" so it prevents you from sleeping for some reason lol. Of course, that is unless you are extremely drained that day. I am a night owl as well, and once a certain time at night passes, if I haven't gone to sleep within that "certain time" I have a hard time sleeping through the rest of the night.(again, unless I am tired) Like as though my brain automatically thinks, "oh, she didn't go to sleep during this time, she must be planning to stay awake till late night like before!" In the middle, I did start to sleep at 11-12AM and I'd wake up early. And bcuz I was doing that regularly for 3-4 days, my schedule became that for a few more days. But then I slept late one night and my brain went back to the old habits. 🙂 I don't really know how to explain this properly, sorry. I have no sleeping schedule anymore what-so-ever so eh-🥴
I found you from JOLLY! Just watching you most recent content I am invested! You seem so genuine and very relatable given I'm half way across the world! Looking forward to the next! :D
I had terrible sleeping schedules before the lockdown, but it got worse after the lockdown. So much so that there was one time where I didn't sleep at all for 2 whole days. ADHD contributed a generous amount in that messed up pattern. Now I have a much better sleeping pattern, and the change took me years of accepting and allowing myself to rest. With ADHD, a change cannot be brought just because it's something you need. You have to WANT it and come to that conclusion by yourself, and only then gradually you will achieve it.
Taz! do you have any sort of bedtime routine? it's just as important for adults as it is for kids. No phone for a bit before bed, reading or journaling or listening to music, maybe a shower or bath, and getting into PJ's even if you've been in lounge clothes all day. Whatever you love to do to wind down for the night, doing it consistently builds those cues for your brain to know its almost time to sleep.
i have trouble sleeping early too, even tho i am pretty much lethargic the whole day. and i think thats because i dont excersise alot. but when i do some excersises in the day like hiking, playing frisbee etc.. i find that its way easier to sleep earlier and better that day
or stock up on a couple of tubes of hydrocortisone 1% for emergency use..for hives that comes on out of nowhere - i get heat and stress hives. and the occasional i used a wrong product rash so it is helpful

OMGG i legit decided to start doing this just THIS MORNING,, i was so happy earlier when i woke up at 4:59am lmaoo
wow I love those coincidences like that! Feels like a sign you're on the right track haha
Not saying you have it, but it might be worth reading about delayed sleep phase syndrome. Its where you consistently find it hard to fall asleep at a normal time, and find yourself naturally falling asleep a few hours later than most people.
early ilysm, ur the reason why i’m still on youtube instead of tiktok lol
that what are those!! makes me happy that taz is a marvel fan- it makes me very happy indeed
Hi Taz ! You can try putting the korean corndogs for like 30 seconds in the microwave to heat and melt the cheese inside em. Love you lots !
ayy another taz video!! thank you

"Oooh we love that"
*And then throws away the skirt*😂😂😂😂
I vibe with Taz so hard right now... Maybe it's selfish but it feels good to see someone suffer with sleep schedules as much as I do.
Imagine if Taz combined all her try videos.... Get up at 5 am, workout, drink water, eat healthy. Tall order but would love to see her try.
You are so reall girl. Most of the people dont show these kind of struggle. That why I liked your video your content. Peace from Holland
I wouldn't even be able to do that
You go TAZZZ❤💜💜💜
I need to say this, your skin is GLOWING girl
i 100% agree ....
Legit watched ONE of her videos less than two weeks ago… HOOKED ever since! Legit probably binged watched halve of all the videos 😁. I just can’t get enough, love to see it
i now work 2 shift work 6-15 and 15-00 and i prove myself every week that im not morning person. i always feel tired and sleepy, while if i go to sleep around 5 am and wake up 11 or 12 i will feel well rested and full of energy
There is nothing better than a freshly baked taz video
Scrolling on your phone before sleep or watching tv or streaming will keep you awake. I did it for years. A few months ago, I stopped and started reading books for I go to sleep. You have to have a nighttime routine to let your brain know that it's time to sleep. I am ADHD too, so I know the struggle.
Taz doing the whole nap segment was so amusing 😂
Another amazing video taz💕
You need a heated blanket for your desk chair (not sofa). Really helps for early starts.
i can relate to every single thing that taz said....i decide to go to bed early like not early like 8pm but at least 11pm....but i end up staying up past midnight like 3 or 4 am...and the darkcircles r not helping at all...kk i'll stop ranting...byeeee
last part is taz convincing herself that its okay to got take another 3 hours of nap
I could also wake up at 5am sometimes, but it'd be because I fell asleep pretty early the day before (a bit too early indeed).
she wakes up at 5am
i go to sleep at 5am
16:10
(this is just what I think)
Because you go to sleep so late usually, your body kind of has taken it as a habitual thing? Example: since you're usually awake at 1AM or have recently mostly been awake at 1AM, your body automatically considers it as an "awake time". That's why even if you have very little sleep, your brain thinks 1AM is an "awake time" so it prevents you from sleeping for some reason lol. Of course, that is unless you are extremely drained that day.
I am a night owl as well, and once a certain time at night passes, if I haven't gone to sleep within that "certain time" I have a hard time sleeping through the rest of the night.(again, unless I am tired) Like as though my brain automatically thinks, "oh, she didn't go to sleep during this time, she must be planning to stay awake till late night like before!"
In the middle, I did start to sleep at 11-12AM and I'd wake up early. And bcuz I was doing that regularly for 3-4 days, my schedule became that for a few more days. But then I slept late one night and my brain went back to the old habits. 🙂
I don't really know how to explain this properly, sorry.
I have no sleeping schedule anymore what-so-ever so eh-🥴
you know taz's friend is italian when she brings her some medicin she probably had in her pharmacy bag/locker at home
Q🤣
I've watched you for so long and never done this before you really make my day some days
Her trying to justify her nap, lol I cannot
Love from the US
I highly recommend reading Why we Sleep by Matthew Walker, it will scare you into fixing your sleep schedule.
😳😳 I should read it.
i have trouble sleeping early too, even tho i am pretty much lethargic the whole day. and i think thats because i dont excersise alot. but when i do some excersises in the day like hiking, playing frisbee etc.. i find that its way easier to sleep earlier and better that day
"I ain't never seen two pretty best friends"
Except for moon and Taz❤️
or stock up on a couple of tubes of hydrocortisone 1% for emergency use..for hives that comes on out of nowhere - i get heat and stress hives. and the occasional i used a wrong product rash so it is helpful
ooh you should totally do a video doing the nap/4 hour schedule!
