I went to Loyola Marymount University about 10 years ago and Sodexo ran all of the food services not just for the athletes. Didn’t know that they were in other schools across the country.

I remember reading in Urban Meyer's book when he was HC at Florida, they would have hierarchy. Only the first string would eat steak and second string would eat pizza. This would encourage the second string to better themselves so they could eat steak.
Well that’s definitely not the case anymore. Obviously they are creating their own plates, but also eating right is too important to make it a reward system like that

To bad Sodexo don't do this for the Marine Corps in their chow halls. It's the worst of the worst food you can feed to someone.
Same for the Army. Given slop and then expected to perform at a high level.

At the football players you have a quick breakfast go to meetings Do the PT stuff if they classes If they have time do it's a workout morning one I've launched will backup back in the gym due to afternoon workout or special drills individual with the trainers fuel back up a meeting in the afternoon practice practice then eat again It is small shake weed after practice
So basically what they're saying is that regular everyday students get crappy food but student athletes get the better food because they bring in $$$ to the university..I get it

The more I watch these videos about facilities reinforces the idea that players deserved to be paid. All those years of players performing helped generate money for those programs. Without those players you wouldn't see these state of the art facilities.
They are being paid through education and well this, all that food , room and board . These are young adults , no one owes them anything . They can go get paid in the workforce
@@toddage83 The only issue I see is if they have a bad injury. They are covered under the university's health insurance until they complete their eligibility. When they get thrown out and not drafted, they need to be able start off on some salary.
Any type of clothing with their name on it or merch, the royalties should go majority to them.

I understand it’s difficult to track how much every player is eating… but how can they judge how much macro nutrients their eating just by looking at the plate… how do they know all the atheists are eating the correct calories and not over/under eating?
