  • Learn the first basic wire wrap pendant concept: how to capture a stone. Use tumbled rocks or raw crystals, and make a simple wire wrap pendant necklace. This is the first technique for holding a stone in wire, and it is versatile since the shape matters very little. You'll see in the video how to use two pieces of copper wire to secure a stone in a way that you can wear it on a chain or cord. This tutorial is easy enough for the most unskilled beginner, and shows proper technique on which other skills can be built. If you want to learn wire wrapping, or wire weaving, this caged wrap is essential. For more jewelry how to and tutorial videos, please subscribe to my channel and check out my other videos. Thank you! This is exactly the kind of simplicity I was looking for. I want to learn to wire wrap my stones and crystals without totally covering them up with a lot of twisty busy wires.

Great job. I’m a tumbler and needed a simple primitive wrap! This will be my starting point!

It got confusing at before the bail. I have no idea of what wires you twist and what two you clip. Overall good job, but I’ll probably be lost at the top four wires before the bail.

Egg would you throw your stones around like that? It scratches them. ❤

Sorry why instead of egg. Darn auto correct. Sorry

Hello, what is the measurement or millimeters of the wire wrap that you are using I want it with the same thickness? or how do I find that one? Thank you.

What kind of wire you are using?

Well, I certainly would not destroy wrapping on a stone just because it needed a few lightening bolts to make it secure. I think they are appealing. Just know you will get better with time, and do another one. Art should be enjoyed, it is not perfectionism.
