All the tradition and family history in that baptism dress is so amazing. The knitters dream. No wonder you are such an amazing knitter, youre part of a family that appreciates and passes on the joy of making. Also the red looks lovely on you Inga.
I love your red dress! And the sweater construction info you shared at around 47 min was priceless. You’re the first person to explain that in such a concise way that’s easy to understand. Thanks!
The Baptismal gown is breathtakingly beautiful! I love the tradition of embroidering names in it. It speaks well of the name of your podcast! Your red dress is pretty and looks so comfortable! I enjoyed the scenery at the end, as your country is one beautiful place after another. Thank you. 😊
Thank you so much for offering us YOUR "me time" !!! it sure is a pleasure to see you with all your production ! I am happy to see you still have time to knit.
Yes, rip it back (the "herringbone") and make one that you'll LOVE! You're not that far. Cannot believe how much stuff you make! So inspirational. Great episode, as always. 🥰
Speaking of tradition, our family has a baptism gown made by my great grandmother, now being used by my great nieces and nephews. It's 102 years old and has been worn by over 50 babies. SO wish we would have thought to embroider all the names and dates on it. We use a decorative pillow for that with each birth.
It’s always great to watch another episode with you. Love your creativity and thank you for putting this all out into the world for me to join in and watch. It feels like knitting with a friend 💚💚💚
Hey ❤ for the backing of the stella quilt cushions blanket I personally would take It to someone with a sewing machine (or do It myself) and sew some nice and light linen fabric. Bc another layer of knitting fabric i think would be heavy and a lot of boring work too..
Thank you so much for all the wonderful inspiration! I am loving all your knits for baby Nellie. My brother just had a baby four days ago and he named her Nellie after our great aunt! Your videos are giving me so many ideas for her!
Wonderful episode. I love the baptismal dress….My mom passed mine down (it was sewn by my grandmother) and I love and cherish it ❤❤. Beautiful pieces, can’t wait until next episode to see the progress you made. I hope you’re enjoying your maternity leave and all the cuddles from baby girl.
The sheer volume of knits you produce is amazing. You are my greatest inspiration. Love the sage alpaca sweater so much, it’s perfect. Hope your neck can like it 🤞
This was the first podcast of yours I’ve watched- and I loved it ! I like longer length episodes so I can watch them throughout the week during quiet time !
Love the long episode. All of your knitting is beautiful and inspiring. I enjoy watching you so much and you give me such great ideas for future projects. Thank you for putting in the effort, which I know is not always easy with a sweet baby to take care of!
Beautiful wips and finished dresses. And the baptism heirloom is beautiful. I love the lola dress and nellies green dress. I am still amazed how many proyects you have running ❤😂
I think I am like you. Some times I just like stocking stitch, but sometimes I like more of a challenge. That is a reason to havev several whips on the go.
Dear Inga, thanks for taking the time to record and show us all the lovely things you are knitting. Currently I am knitting myself the Agave pullover by Yumiko Alexander. It's knitted flat which I don't mind. This way it will be easier to block the lace parts properly. 😀
It’s winter here we here I am and we’ve had some frosty, cold weather. I’m knitting up the Lemmy K shawl and have started a pair of dk weight socks. Watching knitting content snd knitting is ultimate relaxation for me. The baptism dress is gorgeous. 🧶❤️🧶
Hehe long test knits are the best test knits 😋 I'm glad you seized the opportunity to join the team and test the Skeeter Skirt, I can't wait to see Nelli in her itsy tiny cutie skirt !
Oh wow! That baptism dress your grandmother made for you is so beautiful. What a gorgeous family heirloom you all get to share with each other for generations. 🥰 And good on you guys for keeping it so white! lol!
Hi Inga. I am knitting a blanket for myself now with sections of different colors with leftover of Rios yarn. I am almost finished with it, and it is in garter stitch, and it feels so good to cover myself sitting on the couch. Your knits for your baby daughter are beautiful that your granddaughter knitted for you when you were a child. Take Care. 😊
I'm knitting on a pieced aran sweater from a vintage pattern for my dad. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma earlier in the year. He really feels the cold and loves his hand knit sweaters. So lots of woolly 'hugs' are coming his way 😊
Yes, I love stockinette in the round. I can just sort of zone out while knitting and it is so calming. Such lovely dresses. Your poppy colored dress is wonderful.
Thanks for this episode. I was just sitting, knitting, drinking hot black tea and listening to. I love your dress and also the baptism dress for Nelli. It's so lovely to have this piece and to use it for all the babies in the family.
Love every bit!! That dress was designed for you! Thanks for taking the time to share all your amazing pieces and specifically that fantastic baptism dress history. 💌
LOVE all the knits, the Christening gown is gorgeous! I would add ties to the Christmas dress for Nellie. Your dress is stunning! Such a beautiful episode!
You look great in your beautifully knitted red dress. You, knit such beautiful garments for Nellie. Her Christening robe is so beautiful. I saw you wear a Traditional outfit and you mentioned that you later changed to the Red Dress. So much tradition is lovely where people no longer follow the traditions of their culture. You have always amazed me with your eye for colour and for what suits you. Take care ❤😊
Dang, you always make me smile! I forgot to mention how sweet the family christening knit your grandma knit was! I think it’s so cool that each one has their name embroidered on the hem! What a wonderful memory! Have great weekend Inga! ClaudiaSJI ( yes I commented twice) sorry!
I am a huge long episode lover! It's wonderful to sit and knit to a long episode. It's like having a chat and hearing about all the wonderful WIPS. Your fun fluffy sweater you should definitely keep. The colors look great on you. Have a wonderful weekend! Also, the baptism dress is amazing! What a special tradition.
Always a pleasure sitting and knitting while watching your podcast! Thank you so much for another lovely one ❤ That red dress is beautiful on you! 💃 You mentioned eventually making a video on creating knits based on the yarns in stash/you want to use, and sharing the math to do so : I would LOVE that! I'm a fairly new knitter and am constantly learning about gauge and what to do when it doesn't match the pattern (which in my case is pretty much always).
Ok Inga I love the sweater with the little speckles! I think you need to keep it and make a little one for Nellie! And yes, please please make a podcast on designing with your own swatch! Love that so much! 😍😍😍 ClaudiaSJI
Such a feast of gorgeous finished projects and WIPS with all of the cozy vibes of Fall that I just love. And that red dress is so gorgeous, I want to make one! Long or short, I am always so happy to see you post a new podcast! Love to Nelli❤️
Hi Inga. My daughter, her husband and three grandchildren were in Iceland and Norway (mostly Norway) where my Son-in-Law was born and lived, before marrying my daughter and moving to America, and they visited his family and had a party for his Dad who turned 80. I wish I could have gone with them, but they were short of space and I don’t like flying. I finished knitting a blanket for my 19 year old granddaughter in sections of purple and white for her college where she is going for her second year to learn nursing. Your knits are amazing, and your red top is beautiful. I learned to knit by my Mom as a kid and I learned to crochet later on in life and I have done needlepoint for years in my younger years, and all the pictures I made in Needlepoint are hanging throughout my house, and I enjoy looking at them. I enjoy knitting now for the last three years every day, but I don’t do complicated patterns like you. Congratulations on having your baby girl. I wish her health and all the best ALWAYS. The same goes for you and all your family. Take Care. 😊
So glad I found your podcast ❤, YOU are so inspiring and make me fall even more in LOVE with natural fibres! I LOVE yarn on sale too lol😂! Hello from 🇨🇦
Hi from Jan at Nodaway, Iowa, USA 1st, what I'm knitting, the morning ramble cardigan from WOODSMOKE pattern book continues to grow. I was given a skein of dark green tweed from my brothers visit to Ireland, I put it together with an undyed warm Grey in a colorwork yoke. I used a tradional Celtic motif. And I'm knitting a cabled pair of socks in green tweed to go with.
It is super hot around 36°c 97f. Even so, I'm currently working on my anker tee in kfo merino and a Field Cardigan in some lovely masham dk from woolentwine
Great to see you! I’m knitting the Everyday Attitude now. I have so many things on my queue. One is the zip up Cambridge Jacket for my husband. Also the Seaglass Cardigan that was just released. AND, the Stella quilt blanket. So that’s a lot!
So many lovelies. The red dress extremely lovely. Not sure but maybe hem the neck of sage & white jumper. I took a class they show how to cut and mend. Just my 2cents. Thank you for your podcasts.
Hi Inga, thank you for podcasting, loved everything you showed. Have you seen the Paulina dress by Taiga Hilliard and the Kelsey dress by Kelly Menzies (rowrowandkades) they are both dresses that I think could be for all seasons with a little long sleeve top under for the colder days. Looking forward to seeing your autumn winter knits. Xxxx
Ditto all the positive comments below - very well said....lovely knits as always. One thought about the sweater (sage green and white that your neck is allergic to). I vote for wet blocking first before frogging.......IF that doesn't work, consider knitting a triangular piece as a barrier to the alpaca. Tack the triangle down at its points so it will stretch like the sweater when you put it on over your head and will not slip around. (Assume the back of your neck is not allergic). I hope you can avoid frogging - it is a gorgeous sweater - love the design and color choice. Sending you happy yarny vibes from Michigan.
Thank you Inga. Another great episode packed with beautiful knits, yarns and inspiration! Your dress is stunning! Nellie is a lucky little girl. The Herringbone sweater is beautiful, perhaps a modified neckline or if that doesn't feel good, a slipover as the herringbone pattern and yarn colours are perfect. Good luck!
Your youtube channel is great ! I have been following now for 2 years. I always enjoy when you talk about what you are considering to do on projects. Tusind tak for dine podcasts. All the best from Denmark!❤
Hi Inga, thank you for your inspirational knits and wips and vibes. Love the long episode. I am in summer weather but you made me look forward to fall! I'm knitting on a 'paper dolls'sweater (by Kate Davies) in Vilje yarn, but top down to make things easier. Thanks for sharing your knits with us. ❤
Lovely to have you back. I always love seeing your wips and baby knits it's such an inspiration. Could you share the brand of the harry potter yarn again? I really like it
Love your Podcast, I am knitting the Double time Cardigan by Truly Myrtle, with a solid blue dk and a 4ply mottled blue i dyed myself paired with a 3 ply alpaca, its a raglan striped cardi and i am close to the bottom of the raglan shaping, looking forward to be at the end of the shaping.
Yes please please please make the video for the small mods to a pattern because I spin a lot of my yarn with Nutiden fibers and the gauge is not always right …. I have accumulated spurned yarn wanting to be knitted … thank you!
Inga, this was lovely to catch up with you. That red Lola dress is everything!!❤❤❤ I love that I get to hear updates about Nellie and her handknit wardrobe is fabulous😎 I think I’ve seen in some sweater patterns where they will add some purl stitches along the sides as a design feature, but it also hides the jog when you color change for your stripes at the BOR.
@@knittingtraditions I wanted to share this link too of Kimmie Munkholm’s tutorial for stripes and also shows jogless method if decreases/increases are involved. I should’ve thought of this the other day because I used this for the Lyon sweater and I didn’t get jogs☀️. th-cam.com/video/BC-sBXbh7GQ/w-d-xo.html
You look great Inga and you’re so funny 😂. I love the lola dress and red is my fav colour! Nelli’s christening dress is soo cute 🥰, congratulations! Grandma seems like a master knitter! Ahh the romper is soo cute ☺️. I haven’t really been knitting at all this summer since work has been crazy busy 😅. However, after watching your video I feel inspired to take a look at my yarn stash and start knitting on something for fall 😬. Loving these all different wap!
For Nellie's green xmas dress....same green satin/silk bow at the back would be gorgeous...and adjustable as she grows. I always enjoy your post.Thank you
Here in Jämtland Sweden our summer is on and off, so i started to knit my mohair merino tenane sweater v neck by caidree. I make it in a dusty artichoke colour so at least in winter i feel spring😂
I love that your podcast makes me feel good about all my wips 😂 i currently have 8, some of them paused of course. But they all get finished at the end, so why the guilt 😇
Hi! I finished knitting "Under the sea socks" and now Im knitting "Gangstapuput" socks for my husband, just came back from the camping trip around Nordkapp and Vardo! In Vardo I bought souvenir 😂 pattern for Ellinor genser og bukse, it will be my new pijama for camping next year 🤩
All the tradition and family history in that baptism dress is so amazing. The knitters dream. No wonder you are such an amazing knitter, youre part of a family that appreciates and passes on the joy of making. Also the red looks lovely on you Inga.
Thank you so much!
I love your red dress! And the sweater construction info you shared at around 47 min was priceless. You’re the first person to explain that in such a concise way that’s easy to understand. Thanks!

Thank you so much for offering us YOUR "me time" !!! it sure is a pleasure to see you with all your production ! I am happy to see you still have time to knit.
I would use a beautiful ribbon to tie Nellys dress
Yes, rip it back (the "herringbone") and make one that you'll LOVE! You're not that far. Cannot believe how much stuff you make! So inspirational. Great episode, as always. 🥰
Wow, that dress is beautiful 😊

I knit along as I listen to the podcast so I enjoy the longer ones. Got the Mermaid Avenue socks on my needles 😊
Wonderful!😁
I think you are very wise to keep the dress with options for baby growth...it happens SO fast and that dress is so cute.

Thank you so much 😊
I love the long episodes! Your projects and plans are so much fun! ♥️🐑♥️🐑♥️
Long or short episode are always a blessing
Hey ❤ for the backing of the stella quilt cushions blanket I personally would take It to someone with a sewing machine (or do It myself) and sew some nice and light linen fabric. Bc another layer of knitting fabric i think would be heavy and a lot of boring work too..
A flannel fabric would work too if you want a warmer backing without knitting so much garter stitch
Such a beautiful baptism gown. Your knits are always so inspiring, Inga. Thank you. 🌸🌼🌻
Thank you so much for all the wonderful inspiration! I am loving all your knits for baby Nellie. My brother just had a baby four days ago and he named her Nellie after our great aunt! Your videos are giving me so many ideas for her!

Hi Inga, thank you for podcasting, loved everything you showed. beautiful dress Inga !
Thank you, thats not a bad idea! Il block it and see first
Thank you Inga. Another great episode packed with beautiful knits, yarns and inspiration! Your dress is stunning! Nellie is a lucky little girl.
