Do you know what Kawai is in Australian? do you think it would be salmon by the shape or something else? these is nothing like outdoor life anywhere in the world. I know my spelling won't be correct for the fishes name.
I still reckon you can't beat Snapper freshly cooked while your cleaning the boat but then your spoiled over there with what you can catch off a Beach, God's Own Country that one of yours and K'gari Island here is Oz.

Kahawai in oz is called salmon 🍣 snapper is a beautiful eating fish, they are very sparse here in poverty bay but can be caught around Wainui beach 🏖️ now everyone is called Trev because for me to say hello to everyone individually would take a month of Sundays so I call you all Trev’s, we do get pipi here and they are quite big as well and very yummy yums 😝😝😝
I hope you don't mind me asking with Pipi how do you prepare them? Thanks heaps for explaining those things.
Do you go out in a boat for your fish or how do you get them? I am just working through your videos so I am slowly learning and picking things up but sometimes prefer to ask Cheers Garry

@AttitudeAdjuster we don’t have a boat only a canadian canoe 🛶 with the pipi you collect them generally at low tide put them in a bucket of seawater for a few hours so they spit their sand out then just steam them open, you can then eat them like that or make fritters yummy yums 😝😝😝
