The weather on a day of October was promising in the morning, with clear skies and white clouds to hike to the “Bird Beak Mountain” (鳥嘴山) in Miaoli County, Taiwan, just a bit more than one hour south of Taipei City.
As the hours passed, and we moved upwards to the end of the trail, the weather took an unexpected turn, bringing mist into the forest, but this just meant that instead of looking forward and upwards to take photos of the scene, I had to look elsewhere in my attempt to capture the charm of this lovely hiking trail. The photographic results did not disappoint.
Here is a small chronicle of this one-day adventure.
