I have a coworker who is from Mexico. I was driving us back from a job and playing some Willie, and my coworker woke up and said "This music is good, man". He's about 50 years old and his english is kind of rough, so he tries not to speak it too much, but he spoke up to say he liked Willie. It was a live album, Willie and The Family Live.
No there isn't! He is approachable and down to earth for a genius and one of the greatest singers of all time. Not ordinary or a regular guy. I love this man, and have for 45 years. I'm an opera singer, but he has always been an influence, and inspiration. All musicians should study his phrasing and way with lyrics. No word is wasted. Brilliant!

A democracy is where there is an legislative issue and every person gets to vote. We live in a constitutional republic where we “elect” “representatives” to vote on legislation. The problem with thinking you live in a democracy when you live in a republic is that it sets one up to be deceived by individuals representing democracy when there is really no such thing in the whole wide world.
Well... 'liberal' is not actually a word I would use to define his views... he supported Ronnie Reagan's space project in the '80s, for instance... I think Willie Nelson is a mixture of 'show-biz' mentality (be it Republican through his friendship with Frank Sinatra or Democrat like most of the show-biz itself) and southern individualistic-anarchist-rebellious spirit. He'd agree to support your cause because he's a friend of yours (this happened with Sinatra and Reagan) but he'd also prefer to stay out on his own to develop his beloved and passionate stances, REGARDLESS LEFT OR RIGHT. Now, his thorough environmentalism puts him more at odds with the right half of the US, generally speaking, but that doesn't make a liberal out of him. He's just like John Denver used to be, same sort of person.

This is Democracy Now and she's asking him when he was born, as if she were about to chart his astrology. She asked him questions that are easily answered by going Online. She IS online so she wasn't preaching to any non-online folks. So what was the point of knowing when he was born? They asked him the same question twice and he was gracious enough not to point it out. This was pretty much an awful interview. "Sing us a song from your Highwaymen days." Huh? Look on youtube lady. Eight minutes into a 10 minute interview she starts asking opinion questions. Should have begun there.
