    I will go down to my local Harbor Freight and look for the drill bits. You can never have enough of them. I have some CAV Special Operations robots and vehicles so your channel will be a big help. Thanks for sharing this.

    Im curious where all these mold lines are. I have some 50 minis and rarely have I had any mold lines anywhere. For me, the only tool I need before I begin painting is a utility blade. I think my minis turn out pretty nice. (I have videos at my channel of my minis.)

      They are thin lines usually going up the sides going vertically on the plastic mini's. On the metal ones it depends on the cast, sometimes they get through the center of the mold.

      Thanks for your feedback. I looked at some of your videos and an example I would give on your miniatures (which look great by the way) would be the Bruin. The front edge of its left leg has a mold line running the whole way down the center to the foot. Often times these can be slight and not an issue, but sometimes as mentioned by Konrad, a slipped cast will show a huge variation that presents itself with washes or highlighting.

      Thanks! I see now what you mean. I don't really notice them all that much to be honest. Of course pictures of my minis arent used by the company hahaha

      Some people are okay with them, some people are taken to the brink of insanity in trying to get rid of them. What matters is that its a game and that you're happy. I don't pick on folks for mold lines as I miss them from time to time and pointing them out all the time accomplishes nothing positive for the game. Being in CSO though, I have to make sure the models are as presentable as possible to showcase the miniature so I get to be picky of my own stuff.

    I'm heading there now to get that curved file, that's fantastic and just what I need. Great tip on the brass brush cleaning up plastic fuz, I will give that a whirl. Have you tried that on the 3rd edition plastics as well?

      I haven't tried it on 3rd edition. I've had those all painted and long since sold off. If you give it a try, let me know. I know that you can use hot metal wire or a lighter/candle to take the fuzzies off the 3rd editions as well.

    I really enjoy your videos but you could turn the sound up just a smidge and it would be way better

    This is great! I was just about to ask if you could do a video on it. I'm having issues with taking the mold lines off the plastics with a hobby knife. Also finding some of the models like the clint and hermes have very hard mold lines on the legs that go over/through the detail. Not sure if you can choose those to clean or a more difficult model that has mold lines going through circular detail and not easy flat panels. Thanks again for these!

    What are the bit sizes for carbide drill bits (at 6:20, the pack with the black, pink, orange, green, and purple bands)? The sizes maybe stamped on the side or bottom.
    I went to my local Harbor Freight to look for the same set but all they had was a set with random bits with different colored bands.
    Do you know if the color bands correspond to a standardized bit size?

      @CamoSpecsOnline  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These ones I got from Harbor Freight don't have sizes on them. Typically the size is on the top side of the colored collar. For instance, the purple ones in my pack of larger bits are replacements and are a #71 and are 0.026" in size. #65 is a 0.035" which is between the black and pink largest bits. The higher the number, the smaller the bit.
