I think that the third backup plan from the new 13 provision elf card could be your actual back up plan in case of waylay spam not working out too well if they heatwave it otherwise disable vanadain as soon as you play him. You can use simlas to play 3 back up plans which is 12 provisions in 4 provision elf cards + 6 points of guaranteed removal.
Technically it could even be better than 4 Waylays as it's not limited to 4p Elves - if you pull into cards that are playing for an average of just over 6 points, 3 Backup Plans are better than 4 Waylays. One day I want to watch someone pull off the Simlas triple Backup Plan into Elven Archers against Arachas Swarm for a 38 point swing, but I doubt it'll ever happen Unless...
Drakenborg is so disgusting that Heatwave is a must. I managed to replay it 5 times worth nearly 30 points each. Use defender so opponent needs heatwave and bearification. If they don't pull them it's an auto loss. Also, with the new clog heatwave igni, Yrd are essential this season.

Essentially it's a status that is placed on a card to prevent other interactions, for example a card may have an effect that indicates "a non prepared unit".
I feel like you don't even need Alissa in this deck anymore. You can create TONS of waylays just from Heist and making sure you're able to use it at least once with Vanadain.
That's what I'm feeling as well. Alissa more often than not feels like a "win more" greed card that contributes to overswarming. The problem is, when I need her, I *really* need her, so can't justify taking her out quite yet
@@karstenmadsen14 I just feel like if I’m not able to use Cargo to Vanadain, then I’ll just cut my losses with Simlas and just play the 2 new specials instead or 2 Waylays for worst case scenario. I think Yaevinn is generally always more useful than Alissa.
Prepared is a status infused on an unit by one of the "Cargo" from the heist that prevent the unit from triggering the deploy effect of the same card a third time (cargo allows you to trigger the deploy effect again) It's just a way to prevent you just using all the order from the "Cargos" on the same unit. Hope it's more clear
