You're the first one that's actually made a HOW-TO video and I appreciate it. Lots of guys making videos about these and not showing us anything about how it's actually installed. Kudos to you for taking the time to educate us noobs. :)
You were the first to show that one of the tab receiver goes to one tab receiver from the same Y connector goes to the OTHER horn. Mine actually makes noise now. Thanks for taking the time. You saved me return postage!
I read your comment and it helped me understand what I wasn't doing right. I disconnected the v wiring from a single horn and reconnected one of the wires to the other horn and then I had results. Thanks.
Thanks so much for this. I just installed it on my 2023 Ultra limited and without your very simple and direct video I would have been lost. GREAT VIDEO!!!
Thank you so much for this video. Saved me a lot of time and aggravation. I am not that mechanically inclined but I knew I could tackle this job. My MOTOHORN came with no instructions and your video made it easy!
I was about to return mine as there was no horn. After watching your video I had the wiring incorrect. So the good news is I now have the horn working, but the bad news is that it will only blow once. I've tried it in accessory mode and with the engine running. Still blows 1 time & won't repeat if pushed. Also, my horn cover is larger and it prevents me from using all three.
I had the same experience except mine will blow all day with the engine off. Once with the engine running. It requires a relay kit which Motohorn sells for $28. I haven't decided whether to buy the relay kit or return the horns.
@@kievsdad61 Well you can return the horns, to Estonia. Yes, Estonia. The shipping cost will probably be more than the horns. I also needed the relay kit. To bad they are not upfront with us so we know what we are getting into before spending the $$$$. And as a novice, the wiring looks more complicated than I think I can handle. Plus the horns are cheap plastic. I don't agree that they look good, so if I were to install I'd have to buy another style horn covers and hope they can be hidden inside. Anyone interested in buying a set with the relay kit
I installed mine like that and the vibration cracked the thin straps they give you. Had to remove them on the side of the road. Plus the horns were touching the stock horn cover and making clanging noise.
Did you not order the Moto horn optional relay to use with three horns? I have a 2008 Electra Glide and they told me that I needed to order the relay if I wanted to run three horns and have them be loud.
Ran into a problem on my stock wiring. I only have 2 female terminals for the stock horn so i can't plug the new ones into it. Where can i get the connectors you have that will allow me to plug the stock horn and dual horns together to complete my circuit?
Did you use the 2 y connectors and plug each end into your existing horn and see if it works. Shouldn’t matter and if done the way I did it your horn should work.
Still a little hesitant on buying this upgrade. I feel like Motohorn HEAVILY exaggerates how loud their horns are. When they first came out with their trumpet / train style horn, their ads made it sound like a full-blown train horn, but then my buddy bought it for his Indian and after hooking it up, it was definitely louder than his stock horn, but nowhere near as loud as Motohorn's advertisement
Did you cross the wire wires on the second, right side, horn? Did the Y ends go to a different side on the second horn ie: forward connector on front horn to rear connector on rear horn and rear connector of fwd horn to front connector on rear horn? Couldn't tell if the Y's went to different locations on the second horn or if you connected front connector to front connector and rear to rear. One would be a series connection, the other parallel.
@@dumbassleather4116 That's a given. Doesn't answer how series or parallel connection of the Y legs. Maybe it really doesn't matter or maybe you got lucky.
What I need is a how to install factory horn 😂 my 2018 road glide special horn was removed.. By previous owner. I need to find the wires for the horn or how to wiring it back 😂
2 wire connectors. Take first one. One end to one horn, the other end to the other horn. Same process for the other connector. Then the end of one connector under the existing horn and the end of the other connector under the existing horn. This closes the circuit. Horns work. My wires are not hidden.
@@dumbassleather4116 well crap I read their website and they said I was going to need their relay set to use all three horns to make it nice and loud.... I guess I fell for it Hook line & sinker....
Does this work for all the Moto horns if you possibly know cause I have the Chrome version Longhorn like the one that actually looks like a train horn and wanted to make sure before I make myself feel stupid trying to put something on wrong 😂
Hooked it up as you showed and it worked great for a while but after about the third or fourth time I blew the horn, a fuse blew and I lost the horns, directionals, and the spotlights. Any thoughts on how to correct this without hardwiring?
Don’t buy a MotoHorn. If it doesn’t fit and you want to return it, they require you to ship it to Estonia. In Europe. Which costs more than the horn. They don’t tell you this up front or anywhere on their website. Deceptive business practices. They ship you the product from Oregon but claim you can’t return it there. Not a reputable company.
Their advertisement uses the air horn version #2 SOUND for the sound these are supposed to give in their advertisements. I like the horn but don’t get duped into believing that BullSh$t
I used a car alarm Horn, when I honk cars around me all slow down thinking it's a cop, I even had a couple cars pull completely out of my lane😂. I showed it to a cop and he laughed. Said as long as I keep both hooked up it's not a problem. Just not the siren alone because it's too close to a cop horn.😊
Agree. Bought the "chrome" and didn't realize it's plastic. To me it looks cheap. I could have returned it, but postage to ESTONIA?? Be nice if they were upfront about that. I wouldn't have purchased it.

This is exactly what MOTOHORN should have on their website!

Very cool. I have a little dual sport bike that has basically no horn. This looks great and the set up easily. I’m buying after this. Thanks man.
Thanks for the easy-to- follow video! I got it done and I'm by no means a mechanic 🙂 Great job!

Thank you. It looked like an easy install until I tried to attach it to my 03 Heritage. There's just no room.

It does not sound like the air horn sound they use in the commercial. Sure they are louder but it just sounds like a car horn IMO
I agree that it sounds like a car horn, not like in the commercial.
The reason why I didn’t buy one, it’s false advertising
@@ericx7476 it sure is !
Exactly and I commented about that on their Facebook advertisement I told him it was false advertising and they blocked me.😅
You are 100% correct
Very cool - thanks for sharing the 'how to'!
You’re welcome Vito.
Great video. I think i can set mine up now. Thank you for making this.

Thank you, I bought these horns for our SGS and RGS. I thought they replaced the stock horn. I think now I will relocate my horn the the front.
Stellar job with the explainer video.
Thank you.

Do the wires stay wedged into the connectors without any problems?

The stock wiring gauge to the battery doesn’t allow the horns to work properly, that needs changing to

I moved the wires a little and protected them with a wraping.

Your stock horn button is not rated for the current your drawing, you need a 10 amp load relay…
Why would you not let us hear it?
