Great information. Thanks for putting this video up. One question: Why does the IM608 when adding keys to MQB golf 2016 and up proximity, lose remote functions but still can start with push start proximity on new and old key? Tried different keys from different manufacturers and no DTC'S present and all the time the same result. When the second key gets erased, the first key works 100% fine all functions but not when second key is added they both lose remote functions. Thanks for any feedback.
I think I saw something about this, originally the guy was using an aftermarket key and had the behavior you are referring to, he came back with an OEM key and both keys worked normally.
What I usually do to give 100 percent certainty is get the VIN number and pass the information to my engineer. What I suggest is who ever you are going to purchase from you need to ask them this same question. Otherwise I can advice you properly if you book a consultation. This is way I can see if this tool is right for your situation. If its not ill give you a solution that will solve this problem.

thinking of buying the pro2, but i have a question. does Autel have a web page where you can look up how to program the fob/key for each vehicle. don’t want to compare because i have an autopropad and want to upgrade to an Autel, but autopropad has a webpage where it gives minor steps on what their machine it can/can’t do for programming for each vehicle
Autel does have it but I would just use it to gather general information. If you have a specific vehicle in mind that you want to know if the autel can do it, you need to ask your supplier if that can validate the special function by VIN number. This what I do to give my clients 100 percent certainty that the VIN they provided is covered by the Autel
Curtis, My girlfriend has an open recall on her 2018 Hyundai Tucson with blade type key to be performed. The factory recall involves a software update to BCM to improve antitheft security. Is my IM 508 going to be rendendered useless to pull PIN and add keys to Hyundais that have had this recall performed?
Hello, What I would do first is to check the OEM information as to what needs to be done after you reprogram the module with the J2534 as you might no need to do any key registration . Generally speaking if I replaced a module thats immo related I would need to re register the keys , but If I am just updating the existing software ( reprogramming) then its not necessary. Your Im508 does have the ability to perform key registration on this vehicle.

HI Nurudenn. It might be cheaper for you if I sold you the tool directly since I come with the tools I sell. I do have a 1 on 1 mentorship but it starts off at 3k.
You also need to make sure that the US version will work in your country. They have IP restrictions on them and if you purchase a unit thats not for your region it will get blocked.
Very important "feature" - The IM608 requires constant internet access, even for older vehicles that shouldn't need internet. If you work in an area with spotty cell coverage, or rural areas with no cell service, or Autels servers are having issues, you're in BIG TROUBLE! Some people say Autel is trying to mine data and sell it. Not sure, but it's super annoying and should be an option, but not required. Look at other key programmers for the time being.
I also heard of the network requirement- which is ok for me, but I heard it was accidental update but also heard that it’s staying, what is the official word?
You only require to first log in when you power it on, and then you can take your tool where you have no internet to do anything you did before the update. People are getting this wrong. It's for security reasons in case someone takes your tool. Every time you power your tool up, you need to have an internet connection, and then you are good until you re-start it again.

Just make sure they have an easy return policy and also make sure how are they going to handle any hardware repairs and software issues related to your device.

If I have a 2008 Land Rover lr3 with no working key can this machine use a fresh cut key /fob and program it from scratch in the Lost keys option??
