I agree. Working at a GM dealership using TechLine and GDS I experience the same problems. It will ask you what the vehicle is equipped with. Why when you are hooked to the internet and using a manufacturer’s scan tool and their software can it not figure out what modules a vehicle is supposed to have and then see if they are able to communicate? A lot of diag time is lost to the hunt and search method to find what modules a vehicle has. It’s very aggravating!
I will give you a hint, when it comes to GM just pick anything. don't waste your time trying to choose the correct answers. It will not affect your scanning resaults. I would just be accurate when comes to which reagon.
This is 3 years ago. Please has Autel improved on the topology mapping? Is it more accurate now? To know when to exclude modules that are not supported by vehicle?
New subscriber here, your videos are amazing. I think top don or launch now has their topology show you if the vehicle is equipped with a certain module or not.
Thanks, Alex. If they do so, that would be a really useful factor to fixing a car. I know autel have to be connected to the internet to view topology while others don't have to be.
Jazakallah, Thanks for sharing Bro👍 I'm a new subscriber & honestly your 919 un-boxing video brought me to your channel & I must say you're doing a great job👍 This video is very helpful for tech's who are considering to buy these expensive tool's including myself, & they sure cost a fortune, for people like us it's not easy to invest soo much in one tool, I'm using the IM608 for last 17 months & it has been very impressive so far, there are some features that need to be added on the programming side & ofcourse if Autel was kind enough to give us an update for a split screen tab that will make the tool even more versatile😉 Stay Safe Bro👍
Thanks Salam. Autel as a company will not give you everything in one device. They basically would kill the other models if they do so. My first device was tge 906ts and i loved that one. Stay tuned cuz i have another video coming soon for the pros and cons of the 919.
@@DallasAutoDiag WA salam🤝🏼, sure I will stay tuned to your channel👍 Brother what are your thoughts on the snap-on scanner, is it worth the money & how much does the update cost on it? I'm a huge fan of the Verus Pro, but never had a chance to buy one, bcuz they were soo expensive (new), now I'm thinking to buy a refurbished unit that might be affordable, but share your experiences with it so far, & how good is it on Asian & European vehicle's😉 Stay Safe Bro👍
I agree with you brother! So have they fixed it to make it perfect? WITECH has perfected it. Would you still recommend this scanner in 2024? And should I splurge for the EV version?
Thank you, I am currently in the market and have been considering tools with this topology. Really great point that I never considered. I wonder if tools like the thinktool pro has the same issue?
@@DallasAutoDiag Don't worry about it. Locked gateways only affect bi-directional commands. It does not prevent you from scanning modules or for that matter reading and clearing codes.

Great teaching, great explanations. Keep them coming, But you left me wondering what's wrong with that infinity. That's a lot of codes
The negative battery terminal was put without a screw so it was making all kinds of U codes on all modules.
grey is probably non available modules?
It could be not responding, or car is not equipped with one. Thats the problem.

I think they all the same. Autel usually is a step ahead.
I think you said car was a 2021? Has a locked gateway. Needs special nissan cable i think
Do you know the cable number?
