  • Montego Bay? Negril? Ocho Rios? Port Antonio? Don & his local guide Mikey will take you to Jamaica's best beach destinations: which Jamaica beach destination is best for you? A great Jamaica vacation starts with figuring out what part of this island’s best for you. I’ll break down the 3 most popular Jamaica beach areas, and add in two you may not have considered, that may be Jamaica's best beach destinations.
    Enjoy my Jamaica vlog.
We curate unusual, independent, and sustainable boutique hotel experiences. We’re a small team of 3.5 people - for now. Our founder Don is an American who’s lived about half his life overseas and has traveled to over 60 countries - always looking for that perfect hotel, and often being disappointed. Before starting Swank, Don worked as an entrepreneur in the clean energy space, and then sustainable housing - one of the reasons sustainability is in our DNA.

Saint-Elizabeth is where I was born. I have such fond memories as a child. Love Jamaica.

If you're over 60 and want to avoid crowds and noise in a quiet peaceful area away from cruise ships??

Negril doesn't ahve cruise ships so Rockhouse and/or Skylark are good bets. Port Antonio is also small and charming but limited hotel options, I could only recommend Geejam down there... it's a little hipster but I think anyone of any age could go there if you are ok w steps. I also really liked Trasure beach and Jakes... that's the opposite of the cruise ship towns + mega resorts. Good luck.
