Hey, RCE. Couple things you should know: First, you can get more workers by hitting that final Level 4 territory that you've been ignoring. Second, you can have more than one quest counting down at the same time for faster progress. Third, auto-clicking isn't cheating. The game has a built-in auto-clicker (hold A for food, S for construction), and it works the exact same way if you hold down the button. Finally, you can also use D to trigger your Militia (the recharge-y fist unit), F for your soldiers, G for your forts, and H for your cavalry. Then numpad 1-9 are the different workshop abilities. Basically, the game has a lot of keybinds it just really doesn't ever tell you about.
Picked this game up after watching the first vid! You can use A and S to autoclick the main buttons, but your separate autoclicker might be faster if you only want one at a time
So if you hold both "A" &"S" they both go up at the same time? Is that how that works? That would make it a lot faster and easier to maintain food while working on a separate resource
@@airbornejesus3845 exactly, you can press A for grain, and S for whatever material your current project requires. Game still heats up the button as well
Quick tips: --Wait until you get the granary (up to 4 soldiers) before you take on quests where fighting is a possibility (mammoths, barbarians, fires) that way if one spearman doesn't do it you have more in reserve. --Use your dang soldier buffs, hover over the soldier and it shows how much damage it'll do to the crisis and if you can't beat it with one shot then buff them up! The sergeant rank symbol doubles your damage, the lightning bolt makes two of the next perk happen, so you can use the soldier buffs on two different soldiers (not all on one), it saves LOTS of time with dealing with crisis and chances are they regenerate about as fast as the next crisis comes around absolutely so in the case with the mega crisis (red techs like ascension or the tech that replaces ascension when you boost an era). --You can do more than one quest at a time too, however ones that have a percentage to do something bad (e.g. fire) will stack, so two forest clearings can give you 90% chance of fire (depends on level of each)... this greatly helps speed up going through quests, some don't even have a risk of a crisis... although watching your play through maybe 1 at a time is for the best :) --Autoclicking only temporarily increases "the risk of crisis" (sorta), that 6% is because you built Stonehenge, if your button is on fire it may rise a couple percent but as soon as the fire dies down so does the percent. --You only need to beat 4 of one "side" of any quest area to claim that area, while you do get temporary bonuses from the other side often they aren't that useful, at lower tech pathways wood really isn't that important, however when you unlock later ones then wood is useful so get wood for later? or get food and feed your people (grow your population) earlier?. --Stop pushing your civilization forward until you get things under control a bit more, i.e. don't choose the research or quests that trigger a crisis when you have people starving, higher chance of fires, or a flaming click button. --You have a LOT of heroes doing nothing, spend a little time to find the best ones for that particular play through, combine the rest to make a leader of a higher tier e.g. 4 commons = 1 elite. --For purposes of video editing, this playthrough was basically 50% of the last video because you did all those techs on your ascension, so maybe do a quick fast forward through all of it so the video doesn't need to be quite as long? i.e. the next video you do since you unlocked a different era will be 2/3s old context you already done and only 1/3 new tech stuff.
Matt, wait a bit before ascending, you'll get more points to upgrade things if you wait a bit. Like with most autoclicker games, do NOT ascend right away, it's a pure waste in the first few ascensions (some change later on, but usually you want to wait until you about double your ascension points).
had a bad day because I feel like I'm gonna fail my engineering subject but everyone I hear fellow engineer, I hope this path will be worth it. Thank you RCE!
1:46 > looks like it gives loads of extra bonuses > 10% chance of getting a lotus for each tech researched + 6% of civil rebellion every time Don't understand wrong, stonehenge and taj mahal are very good (the other specials are horribad), but it doesn't give a lot of bonuses And just a small hint, you can recruit soldiers during battle if they're depleted, just select the option on the building menu. If you have them maxxed out (for example, 5/5), and build an extra one, it will attack as soon as it's finished and doesn't deplete your stock. And try to use all red faction heroes; their passives are way superior to all the garbage other factions have.
It's great when you need to actually boost your population. But every one keeps trying to use it as a a starvation buffer. Stresses me the amount of people will stress the button to grow there population cuz they are at negative numbers only to compound the problem
When you unlock black lotus it's super useful to kill off everyone with a plague and then use grain buffs to replace your pop before you get a great fire from the empty housing.
I wanted Matt to try a game called "Megapolis", its about Engineering a city with some really beautifull graphics And the best part: The game have many AWESOME BRIDGES (you have to build them or see from friends (that already come in-game))
Day 145 of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet. It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
Day 20 of asking RCE to play Creeper World. It's a series of RTS game about fighting floods and managing resources. There's also loads of community content. CW3 and CW4 are both really good choices.
An auto-clicker game that punishes you for clicking too much while simultaneously forcing you into situations where you have to click too much is the most devious shit I've ever seen....
So what's happening with Timberborners? The last time you posted anything on it was 3 weeks ago. You used to do it once a week and now it like you have become bored of it. So what I am saying is, please don't leave us hanging like every other architect. Have an awesome year dude and I hope to see what you build soon.
But RCE, what *is* the meaning of Stonehenge? Edit: And please - Watching you his desperately click and increase your population every single time, or even while your literally on -10/sec or more… it’s kinda painful. Listen to the games warnings!
since i started watching your channel, i have never seen a 10/10 bridge review. have you ever given one, and if not what would be the requirements for a bridge to get that review?

shoot i needed this 🙏
My non existent numpad is shook rn
The game doesnt really tell you but you can start a quest per spot on the map. You can queue multiple up in one go
That also makes crisis management *really* fun! :D
@@FonVegenI mean sure, but if you leveled up a bit you can pretty much do all available quests at the same time and survive without issue
Finally! Of course Matt is going to be the one to make an episode 2, I’ve been wanting to see more than just the base stuff of this game! Thank you
I absolutely love this series... please keep it going matt
Me too
Finally, now we can get to see the modern era
More of this game, really fun to watch

you can merge heads by moveing the heads into the empty square in the bottum of the head tab
You need to unlock the ability to do that in the ascension tree first which he hasn't done yet
i did'nt know that thanks@@Eric_8724
Just casually reminding it’s been 3 weeks since the last Timbernation Street video.
Cheers Matt! U always brighten my day.
Whens the next Microcivilization video? It's been 7 months.
I wonder when Matt finds out about the keyboard shortcuts.

“That button is so hot, it’s not cool “
Well done from the devs to make a clicker game which is actually hard with an auto clicker
i need more of this game pls bring it back🙏
Matt, wait a bit before ascending, you'll get more points to upgrade things if you wait a bit.

I’m loving this series so far, I don’t know why but it’s hitting the spot! I want to see that tech tree opened up so bad!

Meh, I do think the purple uniques are really good.
And eiffel tower is quite nice as well, wouldn't have gotten to level 20 of the tower without it
That plus 1000 wheat is like a scam. Because the more population you have the more they need per second.

dont know how you stay so consistent but we love it ♥
Matt turned this game into Overpopulation simulator 2024

Love the idea keep up the good work you make a entire season about this😊
As an Dutch i knew he was gonna offend me with that windmill.😂😂😂
Yes! Loving this series so much!
An RCE vid isn’t complete without a BRIDGE REVIEW
Would love a story time on that cancelled 'Stonehenge tunnel' project!
Video idea: GeoGessr but it's just bridge locations and you also have to give them a Bridge Review Score.
I thought it was gonna be a one off episode
So glad its a series
I love this game and your content in general, keep up you engeneer !
8:09 can we get a story time about that? I've never heard of it but a Stonehenge tunnel project sounds interesting.
There's an entire video on it I did in cities skylines 1!
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming I wasn't enough of a fan to know that 😔
When a game declares war on auto clicker, that one guy who has not skipped click day in 30 years, "You underestimate my power!!!" Goodbye legs.
Day 8 of me politely asking RCE to play Theotown
I'm loving this game. I've made it to the rennaissance age, and I just got my first purple leader: Hammurabi.

YeYes! So glad to see a second episode, I really enjoyed watching this game last time! Hope to see more episodes!
MATT! Play this again!!! It’s dope ❤
Say Matt would you consider playing tropico 5/6 if you have'nt ? Think about it turning a small Island in the carribean into a proper british colony.
Day 5 of asking RCE to bring back timberborn please.
I'm surprised Matt didn't realize the more population you have, the less grain they consume.
makes sense when you think that it's more people working the fields
I’m really enjoying this game, can’t wait for more
Quick Maths, ALWAYS gets me. Thanks editor.

Can you please Play cities Skylines 1 engatopia again
Day 52 of asking Matt to play Soviet republic

Matt you can't keep your editors in the basement you need to build them a pen outside and take them on walks

you should be able to upgrade the heads; it may be a merge to upgrade thing
It's better to go for the village instead of farmland because the village gives an extra worker
