Nice. I also sometimes experiment with all sorts of things on breadboards and was thinking about making a set of small pluggable modules like opamp basic building blocks.

2:28 Dedicating a breadboard just for the UI is great. Boards are cheap. You can quickly lay out the interface elements and have them sturdy, then run wires to the other board. Still better than having the knobs and buttons hanging off the main board with wires, getting yanked on when you adjust them.

2:58 I'm surprised that doesn't melt the breadboard matrix around those pins as you solder them.

I have a cheap "sacrificed" breadboard that I only use for soldering pinheaders onto Arduinos, RPi Picos and component adapters. Sofar the BB have been keeping up quite good - but I try to solder the pins as quick as possible to avoid melting the plastic.

Very nice! Clean design too. I have made some as well. Call them Breadboard Buddies. The one one I end up using most is plugging in eurorack supply power in a consistent way.

Oh, your helpers trump mine. I never thought about a cherry switch footprint. 😮
