Thank you everyone for watching my Reactions to all of the Guilty Gear Strive Osts. What video game or anything else should I check out next? Also what's your ranking on these songs for this video?
You should check out Blazblue songs its basically a sister series to guilty gear, make sure to listen to the originals and not the II remixes (they're not as good)
There's actually a BUNCH more Guilty Gear songs from previous games, some of which are easily better than a lot of Strive themes. Some of my favorites are Divide My Heart, Heavy Day, Lily, and SHOTGUN&HEAD. Soo if you are ever in a Guilty Gear mood again, I def recommend checking out songs from GG Xrd
A lot of the character themes get better when you actually understand the lore, and since Bedman is my favorite character, i figured I'd explain it. So heres my overly long lore explanation on why The Circle has one of the best narratives in the series and is one of, if not, my favorite of the character themes. (Also i understand it is a little weak as a Fighting game song, i still love it personally) So in the previous installment, Xrd, Bedman was an entirely differently person. He was a boy named Romeo (im just gonna continue calling him Bedman) and was on the side of the villains. He was immensely powerful and, strangely, always asleep. Eventually we learn his motives, Bedman wanted to create a perfect world where he and his sister could actually live, as they both had a rare genetic condition that made their brains unable to keep up with their thoughts. Bedman was smart enough and powerful that he remembered everyone he killed and was ready to bring them back once this perfect world was fulfilled. However, he would eventually be defeated and forcefully awoken, which would lead to his death. Before his death, he managed to send off just enough of his power to safely awaken his sister Delilah, who we see in Strive. In Strive, aside from the Bedframe being broken, most of the lore comes from the theme (and the arcade mode, but it just reinforces that the bedframe is acting weird). In The Circle, the song is most definitely taking place from Romeo's perspective. It mentions many times imagery that would be attributed to the afterlife, "Do you see the radient light?" Etc. And how its not quite how its to be expected, "Pitch black, pure white, all the same," "Endless. Finite." Etc. Which makes it pretty clear that the circle is talking about the circle of life, the first 2 choruses porclaiming that he's on the border, i.e. at the end of his life. Towards the final chorus, after what seems to be a higher being rejecting his calls it says, "if you can give someone something." Followed by the final chorus. The end of the song ends with, "Im here, Im here." No border of the circle, Romeo has died. The song is most likely the finally thoughts going through Romeo's head as he sends his bedframe to protect the one thing he cares about, it does say "I may not be able to make you smile, but, i will never make you cry, even once, never." I hope all that got through 😅. Bedman's my favorite character and his theme (or at least this interpretation) really cemented that for me
I also love Bedman but the interpretation I've heard of the song is different. In that the "Circle" is meant to be something like Samsara and that Bedman has refused the afterlife and reincarnation and keeps his spirit tied down to watch over his sister through the bedframe. The question god ablut the radiant light and how he doesn't see it is that Bedman no longer can see the light of heaven and that the void of unlike he find himself in is empty of light or anything else but he is still doing what he can for delilah.
@mylesobrien7477 Yeah I had someone reply that to me before, I really should've changed it but after copy and pasting the whole comment from a different video I didn't think to change it 😅

This is probably my personal favourite batch of songs from Guilty Gear Strive. The third DLC pack specifically are all bangers in my opinion. It has been very enjoyable seeing you react to and enjoy the songs in this soundtrack and I look forward to seeing more reactions in the future.
Asuka is definitely incredibly good... But he's also incredibly difficult to play due to basically needing to play Yu-Gi-Oh while managing three meters AND your opponent.
All of these were bangers, so this is gonna be a hard list. 9. The Town Inside Me (GOATed song, just feels weird in a match imo) 8. The Hourglass (decent song overall but Holy Orders motif HITS) 7. The Circle (even if its my personal favorite, its definitely not the best one) 6. Like a Weed, Naturally, As a Matter of Course (could switch with number 5 depending on my mood) 5. Just Lean (Peak) 4. The Gravity (you can just feel the weight of character 20 years in the making) 3. Extras (Gotta appreciate the fact only one person sang the song) 2. Ups and Downs (I've run out of funny reasons, its just peak) 1. Symphony (probably my favorite outside of The Circle)
The Circle is just such an unfortunate song because it will almost always need multiple listens or prior lore knowledge to click with you on a first time listen. While we love the song and understand why others don’t, it’s always a bitter pill to swallow. (And for Ups and Downs, Dandy! Is the perfect reason)
Last part on A.B.A's theme nearly brings me to tears every time I listen to it "I'm not here to fit in this world, I just want to make a difference" is a line that hits VERY hard
If you're craving more songs from guilty gear, I'd suggest taking a listen to the previous game's OST (Guilty Gear: Xrd) those songs, while not character specific most of the time (characters DO have themes, they just don't got lyrics), are also fantastic.
Man, Bedmans theme is my all time favorite guilty gear song in general, so to see the low remarks kind of hurt, but to each their own. I will say knowing the lore and understanding that the lyrics do make sense with the lore elevates it alot
Well, The Circle is, in my opinion, one of the most fitting-the-character songs. It has a lot of the references to the character's story and is very ambiguous referring both to the former pilot of this Bed, Romeo, and his sister this robot now defends, Delilah. Romeo did a lot of horrible stuff, so he can't see the radiant light aka go to the afterlife, and Delilah can't go there because she is young and hasn't done anything bad unlike him, so the Bed protects her as Romeo, her brother, wanted it to. The Bed itself might be possessed by Romeo's spirit, or it may have been reprogrammed in some way or given some directives like 'protect Delilah' by Romeo just before he died. I like the first option more. Also, Romeo did those horrible things because he was decieved into doing them, so 'the words that won't go' must be literally the words of the one who used him saying to him that he was tricked and that the whole greater purpose he believed he was fighting for was a lie just before Romeo died. Knowing the story makes this song just so great imo. That's my favourite theme of my favourite character in GG series. I also like the vocals in it as they imo deliver that feeling of sorrow and angst. I don't really see why so many people are turned off by this character and this song. I think they are great.
I've come a realisation that GGS themes hit you harder when you know what they are about. After learning a bit of the lore on each character I can say that the themes fit them amazingly.
The Circle involves a character who died in the previous game, Bedman and is now called Bedman? because the original Bedman on his death created a copy of his mind and placed it within his mechanical bed weapon. After the events of the first game, the bed is broken and now filled with errors from lacking the memory to contain Bedman's mind and its own programming. This is causing it to constantly reset its short-term memory and therefore Bedman's copy, causing him to live each day anew trapped in a broken mechanical body that can't feel and doesn't always obey him. This is the Circle referred to in the song, a constant torment inflicted upon an entity that did not ask for it and lacks the means to escape it, having its progress reset over and over while it tries to direct a broken and corrupted machine into protecting the only original member of the 1st Bedman's family he seemed to care about, his sister Dahlia. The song is actually pretty clever about playing with this, like returning to 0 which has the meaning of null or nothing in binary, the copy that we hear being the bed acknowledging the commands, and how he now struggles to see out of the eye lenses of the machine to even find what he is seeking. It's a song about the rage against it's fate and god, but also the quiet acceptance of now being able to accomplish a goal after death.
I did rank all of the tracks for this one too, but I accidentally deleted it and can't be bothered to re-rank them. I remember my top 3 though: The Circle (By far my fav in the whole ost, a genuine masterpiece with the only part I'm iffy on being the talking section at the beginning, which is pretty short anyway) Ups and Downs (I love jazz-metal, and although this isn't nearly as heavy as the stuff I normally listen to, it's still absolutely fantastic) Symphony (Highly experimental and interesting and yet everything works together super nicely, with none of the weirdness you have to get used to that I normally associate with tracks that have experimental and unique sounds and compositional choices like this one). In regards to ost suggestions though, how about ULTRAKILL? It's a super fast paced retro shooter in which mankind is dead and hell is full, so you, a robot called V1, for whom blood is fuel, must venture into hell to continue fuelling yourself. The game is split into a prelude and 3 acts, with the prelude acting as a tutorial where you make your way to the gates of hell, and each of the 3 acts covering 3 layers, each being one of hell's nine circles, as per the classic poem, Dante's Inferno. The game is currently in early access and only completed up to the 7th layer. The music is very varied, often quite experimental and changes a lot both over the course of the game and between layers, getting more and more fleshed out and complex. The ost is quite long though, and there are a good amount of either mid or purely ambient tracks, so I've tried to pick out the standouts below (if anyone else has any to add, or any changes to suggest, feel free). I've also bolded the very best ones, since there are still quite a few: PRELUDE _Prelude (Tutorial area before you actually enter hell)_ Into the Fire - Plays throughout some of the levels. Unstoppable Force - Ditto. ACT I: INFINITE HYPERDEATH _Limbo (First layer and start of Act I)_ A Shattered Illusion - Plays in the first level, once it actually gets going, as a remix of the track that was playing up until that point in the level. *A Complete and Utter Destruction of the Senses* - Plays in the second level, once it actually gets going, replacing the same track that was used in the first level before 'A Shattered Illusion'. Feel completely free to skip and/or hate on this one; I may love it but I know noise music is by no means for everyone. Castle Vein - Plays in the third level. Versus - Plays in the fourth level, when fighting the final boss of Limbo, V2, who's one of those mirror image/clone bosses. A big difficulty spike. _Lust (Second layer)_ Cold Winds - Plays in the first level. Requiem - Plays in the second level. Panic Betrayer - Plays in the third level. _Gluttony (Third layer and Act I finale)_ Glory - Plays in the second half of the first level. Divine Intervention - Plays in the second level, when fighting the final boss of both Gluttony and Act I as a whole, the archangel Gabriel, Judge of Hell. A huge difficulty spike. P-1: SOUL SURVIVOR _Soul Survivor (A secret level only accessible by getting a perfect 'P rank' on every level in Act I)_ *CHAOS* - Plays when fighting P-1's first boss, the Flesh Prison. A big difficulty spike. *ORDER* - Plays when fighting P-1's second boss, Minos Primes. A massive difficulty spike. I'd recommend a version that includes the intro and death monologues. ACT II: IMPERFECT HATRED _Greed (Fourth layer and start of Act II)_ Dune Eternal - Plays in the first level. Sands of Tide - Plays in the second level. Dancer in the Darkness - Plays in the third level, building up to the climax. Duel (Versus Reprise) - Plays in the fourth level, when fighting the final boss of Greed, V2, in a rematch fight, and as such is a remix of V2's first theme, Versus. _Wrath (Fifth layer)_ Deep Blue - Plays in the first level. "He is the Light in My Darkness" - Plays for the very end of the second level, which was just ambient rain sounds up to that point. *Death Odyssey* - Plays for the first half of the third level. Death Odyssey Aftermath - Plays for the second half of the third level. The Abyss and the Serpent - Plays in the fourth level, for the lead up to and when fighting the final boss of Wrath, Leviathan. _Heresy (Sixth layer)_ *Altars of Apostasy* - Plays for the second half of the first level, where the first half was just continuous droning sounds. The final part plays in the level's boss fight, and is a remix of the track Castle Vein from earlier, as you have to fight 2 of the boss from that level (among other things) at once. A difficulty spike. *The Death of God's Will* - Plays in the second level, when fighting the final boss of both Heresy and Act II as a whole, the archangel Gabriel, this time the Apostate of Hate, and as such is a remix of Gabriel's first theme, Divine Intervention. A big difficulty spike. P-2: WAIT OF THE WORLD _Wait of the World (A secret level only accessible by beating P-1 and getting a perfect 'P rank' on every level in Act II)_ *Tenebre Rosso Sangue* - Plays in P-2 once the fighting starts. An incomprehensibly massive difficulty spike. One of 4 tracks written for the game by someone other than the main dev and composer, Hakita. PANDEMONIUM - Plays when fighting P-2's first boss, the Flesh Panopticon *WAR* - Plays when fighting P-2's second boss, Sisyphus Prime. Somehow a second difficulty spike on top of that massive one. I'd recommend a version that includes the intro and death monologues. ACT III: GODFIST SUICIDE _Violence (Seventh layer and start of Act III)_ The World Looks White - Plays at the start of the first level. *The World Looks Red* - Plays in the first level once the fighting starts. A difficulty spike. *Bull of Hell* - Plays in the first level, when fighting the boss, -Minotaur-. Do Robots Dream of Eternal Sleep? - Plays at the start of the second level. Hear! The Siren Song Call of Death - Plays for the rest of the second level. Yet another difficulty spike. *Suffering Leaves Suffering Leaves* - Plays for the first half of the third level. *Danse Macabre* - Plays for the second half of the third level. *War Without Reason* - Plays in the fourth level, when fighting the final boss of Violence, the 1000-THR Earthmover. MISCELLANEOUS _Miscellaneous (Various other tracks in the game)_ The Fire is Gone (for Piano, Saxophone and Trumpet) - Plays in main menu. *The Cyber Grind* - The infinite waves mode, the Cyber Grind (actually created for this track rather than the other way around lol), lets you create playlists of imported music or in-game music. This track is a Cyber Grind exclusive and the default track that plays on loop. One of 4 tracks written for the game by someone other than the main dev and composer, Hakita. HATEFUL - The infinite waves mode, the Cyber Grind, lets you create playlists of imported music or in-game music. This track is a Cyber Grind exclusive. One of 4 tracks written for the game by someone other than the main dev and composer, Hakita, and the only song in the game with lyrics. ULTRACHURCH - The infinite waves mode, the Cyber Grind, lets you create playlists of imported music or in-game music. This track is a Cyber Grind exclusive. One of 4 tracks written for the game by someone other than the main dev and composer, Hakita.
A lot of Guilty Gear characters are named and inspired by real life musicians. For example, Johnny wears all black and fights using cash. So, Johnny Cash. Cash was famous for his train-like rhythm which you can sort of hear in a high low rock format although it's missing his signature twang that you get on a guitar.
Half of season 2 and the whole season 3is just PEAK, my top 5 from these song is the top 6/7 of the whole OST 9. Hourglass: Good but don't vibe with it much 8. The Town Inside Me: when i'm hanging out with the girlies. 7. Just Lean: The middle of the pack, the crossing line of guilty gear's peak 6. The Gravity: Cat Boy and the guitar solo is chef's kiss 5. The Circle: The darkest song and the " GOD " gives me chill every damn time. A very addicting song that left you disappointed when it end and you have to listen again. 4. Like a Weed: An awesome song for an awesome character, song like this need to get more attention idgaf. 3. Extras: Molly the GOAT 2. Ups and Down: Dandiest Of The DANDY. 1. Symphony: Just Peak Fiction, has the best intrument, Daisuke COOKED
See, I love Bridget's song *because* it stands out. She feels uncomfortable with who she is, and is struggling with her own identity. The fact that her theme is so different from all the others really emphasizes how she feels different and alone. But as the song goes, it becomes more confident, the guitars slip in more and more, and is starts to resemble the other songs in the OST. Remember, each of these is a testament (Ah?) to a the characters and their story. You shouldn't be saying 'this song doesn't fit' but *why* doesn't this song fit? Though I will say, your opinions aren't invalid or anything. There's just so much if you look under the surface.

To give extra context “The Town Inside Me” is a trans character’s theme and is actually about their transition, most of the newer guilty gear players started playing because they learned about the character, she is also the fan favorite character
I’m seeing people getting on your ass about disliking certain songs but honestly, I’m happy to see it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a GG fan and I love seeing people enjoy the songs but it’s almost refreshing to see someone be honest and be able to say when they don’t like a song
People will be hating on me for everything it happens. Can’t like anything that everyone likes. I got my own opinion. But I appreciate your honest about me for having a different opinion.
I recommend any listening to them but instead of listening just to the music listen to the lyrics it gives more understanding to the character and more of their motivation you're more looking at it at the music and rock standpoint and not lyricless
The reason you don't like some of these songs is because you're not picking up on the story that each song conveys for the character. Each song fits so well for the vibe of the characters and Bridget's and Bedman?'s themes some of the greatest that are so different but perfect for Guilty Gear.
Love the reaction man but sometimes I feel like you should try to listen to the song itself and try to piece out what could be the meaning of it instead of just trying to figure out if it “sound like a guilty gear song”
I know its gonna sound weird, but I hate the town inside me. Its a song of defeat. "Other people told me who I am and they were right." Is the message I got from the song. Allow me to explain Bridget was a male born in a set of twin boys. He was then raised as a girl because of a superstition in their hometown. They then proceeded to work as a bounty hunter to prove that superstition wrong. They had somthing to prove. But eventually she gave up and resumed the female identity she was given because it was too painful to be away from home. In a game that has songs like "find your one way", "play the hero", "armor clad faith", "love the subhuman self" or god forbid we compare it to "CRAWL"... it just does not fit in. Thematically or musically.
I agree so much. It's so unsatisfying seeing the person who was told their whole life they were a girl just give up and say "nevermind I wanted this anyway". It just feels like the cheapest copout for a conclusion I've ever seen.
It’s such a triumphant song about self acceptance and not caring what others think that I don’t know how you got the message you thought. It’s probably just you disagreeing with her character arc and end for reasons and your feelings on the matter are making you dislike the theme. Or you’re just transphobic either or
Potential reached hardcore with that one, specially if you know the characters lore then it hits harder genuinely its one of the best, quite literally because of how its composed
The Circle has a lot of problems, just like the person it is made for. It's probably one of the deepest songs in GGST, if not GG as a whole, and requires a lot of information to understand. Even then, the understanding of the lyrics are still not cemented. Without knowledge on Romeo, The Circle is just a weird song with a groovey bassline. It is by far one of my favorites, but I understand that there are a lot of "features" to The Circle that will drive away people on a first listen. I had to listen to it a second time myself, before I really got it.

I would definitely watch you make a tier list of all the guilty gear songs.
I would also watch your reactions to the previous game's (Guilty Gear xrd rev 2) Instant kills as they are very dope.
I did rank all of the tracks for this one too, but I accidentally deleted it and can't be bothered to re-rank them. I remember my top 3 though:
The Circle (By far my fav in the whole ost, a genuine masterpiece with the only part I'm iffy on being the talking section at the beginning, which is pretty short anyway)
Ups and Downs (I love jazz-metal, and although this isn't nearly as heavy as the stuff I normally listen to, it's still absolutely fantastic)
Symphony (Highly experimental and interesting and yet everything works together super nicely, with none of the weirdness you have to get used to that I normally associate with tracks that have experimental and unique sounds and compositional choices like this one).
I've also bolded the very best ones, since there are still quite a few:
PRELUDE
_Prelude (Tutorial area before you actually enter hell)_
Into the Fire - Plays throughout some of the levels.
Unstoppable Force - Ditto.
ACT I: INFINITE HYPERDEATH
_Limbo (First layer and start of Act I)_
A Shattered Illusion - Plays in the first level, once it actually gets going, as a remix of the track that was playing up until that point in the level.
_Lust (Second layer)_
Cold Winds - Plays in the first level.
Requiem - Plays in the second level.
Panic Betrayer - Plays in the third level.
_Gluttony (Third layer and Act I finale)_
Glory - Plays in the second half of the first level.
Divine Intervention - Plays in the second level, when fighting the final boss of both Gluttony and Act I as a whole, the archangel Gabriel, Judge of Hell. A huge difficulty spike.
P-1: SOUL SURVIVOR
_Soul Survivor (A secret level only accessible by getting a perfect 'P rank' on every level in Act I)_
*CHAOS* - Plays when fighting P-1's first boss, the Flesh Prison. A big difficulty spike.
*ORDER* - Plays when fighting P-1's second boss, Minos Primes. A massive difficulty spike. I'd recommend a version that includes the intro and death monologues.
ACT II: IMPERFECT HATRED
_Greed (Fourth layer and start of Act II)_
Dune Eternal - Plays in the first level.
_Wrath (Fifth layer)_
Deep Blue - Plays in the first level.
_Heresy (Sixth layer)_
*Altars of Apostasy* - Plays for the second half of the first level, where the first half was just continuous droning sounds.
P-2: WAIT OF THE WORLD
_Wait of the World (A secret level only accessible by beating P-1 and getting a perfect 'P rank' on every level in Act II)_
*Tenebre Rosso Sangue* - Plays in P-2 once the fighting starts. An incomprehensibly massive difficulty spike. One of 4 tracks written for the game by someone other than the main dev and composer, Hakita.
PANDEMONIUM - Plays when fighting P-2's first boss, the Flesh Panopticon
*WAR* - Plays when fighting P-2's second boss, Sisyphus Prime. Somehow a second difficulty spike on top of that massive one. I'd recommend a version that includes the intro and death monologues.
ACT III: GODFIST SUICIDE
_Violence (Seventh layer and start of Act III)_
The World Looks White - Plays at the start of the first level.
MISCELLANEOUS
_Miscellaneous (Various other tracks in the game)_
The Fire is Gone (for Piano, Saxophone and Trumpet) - Plays in main menu.

Half of season 2 and the whole season 3is just PEAK, my top 5 from these song is the top 6/7 of the whole OST
9. Hourglass: Good but don't vibe with it much
8. The Town Inside Me: when i'm hanging out with the girlies.
7. Just Lean: The middle of the pack, the crossing line of guilty gear's peak
6. The Gravity: Cat Boy and the guitar solo is chef's kiss
5. The Circle: The darkest song and the " GOD " gives me chill every damn time. A very addicting song that left you disappointed when it end and you have to listen again.
4. Like a Weed: An awesome song for an awesome character, song like this need to get more attention idgaf.
3. Extras: Molly the GOAT
Circle, my favorite, you are just wrong
I didnt feel it. Wow so articulate and verbose. Truly i understand what you feel by you saying you either felt it or didnt.
Asuka can be one of the best characters in the game, but he’s also widely regarded as one of, if not the hardest fighting game character in history.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣❗❗❗❗❗❗
If you want to react to more guilty gear, you could react to strive's overdrives, or xrd's instant kills
My Top 10 Songs currently
Mirror of the World
Symphony
Drift
Extras
The Circle
Ups and Downs
As Weed, Naturally, as a Matter of Course
Armor Clad Faith
Necessary Discrepancy
Disaster of Passion
I will KILL to hear you react to some of Guilty Gear Xrd’d power ballads
To give extra context “The Town Inside Me” is a trans character’s theme and is actually about their transition, most of the newer guilty gear players started playing because they learned about the character, she is also the fan favorite character
for elphelt theme it's the same person who sing "metal" and "pop" parts
the new characters for season 4 have just been revealed for guilty gear strive will you react to them?
Like a Weed is definitely one if my favourites in GGS. But The Town Inside me is also fire.
Dude didn’t understand… he doesn’t know… he needs to be turned to better…because The Circle is the best GGST Ost
You gotta react to the guilty gear xrd character themes because in my opinion they are way better
Town inside me was one of my biggest disappointments bridgets x2 theme was a great tune very satriani.
It just wasn't a good enough. Sadly not a good song.
@@jayroro7053 agreed, think the track from x2 was called ordinary life. It was a jam upbeat shredding.
It encapsulates her character perfectly I believe and while different from the other guilty gear songs is still an amazing song
calling it a bad song flat out because you don't like it is crazy
@@johnv1109 not saying it's bad saying compared to ordinary life it is boring.
bro be having a stroke at the start of every song then looks dead for the rest 🤣
I know its gonna sound weird, but I hate the town inside me. Its a song of defeat. "Other people told me who I am and they were right." Is the message I got from the song.
Allow me to explain
Bridget was a male born in a set of twin boys.
It just feels like the cheapest copout for a conclusion I've ever seen.
that's not why. she realized she's trans and accepted herself as such. she really did find her own way.
It’s such a triumphant song about self acceptance and not caring what others think that I don’t know how you got the message you thought. It’s probably just you disagreeing with her character arc and end for reasons and your feelings on the matter are making you dislike the theme. Or you’re just transphobic either or
9:41 she?
Ugh this again
yea I feel the same way about The Circle
like it has so much potential but its just kinda mid and disappointing
Potential reached hardcore with that one, specially if you know the characters lore then it hits harder
genuinely its one of the best, quite literally because of how its composed
The Circle has a lot of problems, just like the person it is made for. It's probably one of the deepest songs in GGST, if not GG as a whole, and requires a lot of information to understand. Even then, the understanding of the lyrics are still not cemented. Without knowledge on Romeo, The Circle is just a weird song with a groovey bassline. It is by far one of my favorites, but I understand that there are a lot of "features" to The Circle that will drive away people on a first listen. I had to listen to it a second time myself, before I really got it.
It's ez top 3 for me, the build ups hit every time
Self-appointed Daisuke
