      @@Tm_Slink honestly? YGO didn't have anything official until like, master duel, aside from the long defunct yugioh online. but the wide array of options made by fans? i'd argue fan sims like YVD, dueling network, YGOPRO, etc over the years, and now services like Dueling Book and EDOPRO, these have all been really a huge part of bringing the community together in a way an official sim like master duel never could.
      and i'd prefer this to a bandai one, personally! like, most 'official' sims try and get money out of you, like MTG:A.
      but the fact this exists, as an option, to get new players into the game, to play online when you don't have a local scene-- this is huge, and i'm super excited!!

      Definitely need a turn timer. Especially if there is going to be ranked play. People will sit there and do nothing hoping you quit so they can get a free win. Need a way to prevent that ahead of time.

    Crazy how other people can make an automatic version of the game that looks good, but the actual company can’t make an online sim that people wanted but instead over hype a webcomic. Y’all are goated for this sim.

    I like that it shows DP in real time, I mean, the Bloomlord having 14k DP when suspended at minute 14, but as feedback, something that shows if a card has check +/-, jamming, blocker, piercing and such things to appear without having to put the cursor on the card would be nice.

    I had absolutely zero idea this was in development, and I'm blown away. This is incredible, and my friends and I (who live hours apart and can't play physical all the time, much as we enjoy doing so) cannot wait to give this a shot! Everything looks super clean, and having an automated sim will allow for much faster games than manually playing using existing tools, though mad props to the people working on those other tools already.
    Super curious how all the card automation was done. I'm only a rookie game dev so I'm sure it's well above my ability, but really curious if the effects of cards were manually programmed, or if there's some kind of automated process used for interpretting the card text into an effect the program understands. Either way, insanely impresive, absurdly excited!

    8:57 I feel like with all the blank space on the selection window that it could be tightened up enough that your hand is visible on the bottom of the screen without needing to click "Check Play Area" as often. You can already see a sliver of the arts there. Would be a nice quality of life change since you'll probably see that screen most often when you're adding a card to your hand.
    Looks really good, excited to try it out!

    Congratulations from the YGOPro community. I used to work on a sim myself. The image work around is really solid. The sim looks solid. I think the graphics could use a bit of polish but this is a solid initial release! My concerns are over scripting the cards over time. If there are bugs in the cards they don't take the whole server down. Thats something we saw in YGOPro and had to isolate game instances onto separate processor threads. You guys have seemed to side stepped all the problems our community had around certain personalities, and legal issue.

    I just started playing a couple months ago so this is a godsend. I can finally practice and decide what decks are worth taking to locals since none of my friends play. Not to mention all the people who can't play in person at all. Thank you so much for your hard work. You guys are the real heroes.
    Also the mega digivolution effects are sick and I can't wait to see them in action.

    digimon getting its own YGOPRO style sim is what ive been hoping for as someone who has no digimon locals to play in. manual sims are ok but i prefer knowing every action is a legal one especially with the rampant cheating on webcam tourneys.

    This seems to be a GODSEND for DCG fans!!! My only complaint is having no way to read effects mid-game other than read the text on the card itself, which may end up being low quality on some arts. Other than that, this looks PERFECT!!!

    This simulator looks fucking awesome. Thank you so much for your work on it, as well as whoever helped. It's really clean and has just about everything to function. I love when the gameplay is the real focus of a project like this one.
    The only features that jump out to me as missing are using custom/past banlists in private rooms and searching cards by the same criteria you can use to sort cards in your deck. The latter one might have been implied and I just missed it, but the former seems relevant going forward. The DCG player base has yet to tap the potential of alternative formats. I could understand not including this just to avoid fracturing the player base, but I think it is important for private testing prior to banlist implementation or testing if people's theories about which cards are overpowered at a particular time are even accurate.
    I can't wait to see where this goes!

    Looks great, thanks for the project. One thing I would love to see are the digievolution sources, idk if it has been added already but being able to see the sources of the opponent is a very important part of the game

    It looks awesome so far! If I could recommend a nice addition to the UI interactions, it would be allowing players to click the cards in their hands to open a menu that gives options to play a card or digivolve a mon using available mons. Kinda how you're treating field effects like Delay in addition to being able to drag the cards from your hand as a mechanic.

      We took a lot of steps to minimize the chance of this happening. There’s currently 0 copyright material on the sim itself, all of the cards images are loaded from another source.

Also, since you're taking suggestions, I didn't see any security taken, so maybe it's already in the game, but it would be cool if there was a spot on the mat that would show when security is flipped over or "checked" and an animation plays when a security effect happens.

      Oops, meant to say "this looks amazing" haha! Anyways, I also thought of another suggestion. You could add custom attack animations other than just the red claw slash. At first, I thought doing it by color could work, but having a green Agumon card doing a floral plant attack doesn't make much sense hehe. So, I was thinking maybe doing it based on a Digimon's Type. Like, dragon Digimon do a fireball or dragon claw slash, beast digimon to a fanged bite attack, cyborgs shoot a laser out of a mechanical arm, and angel digimon to like a holy ray of light on the target. You could also add particle effects based on the Digimon's attribute. Like, a lot of D-Brigade Digimon are virus and cyborg so maybe they shoot a later and purple/black splotches to indicate then infecting the target. And vaccine types could have tiny gold or red plus signs to indicate the target being cleansed or purged when being attacked. You can get really creative with the combos the type of animations and the attribute inspired particle effects. I have no idea how'd you incorporate a Digimon's level into an attack animation though haha! Even if one, both, or neither of these ever get added to the sim, I'm just glad and excited you guys made this for the community. Truly, may God bless you all!!!

    One suggestion would be for some visual markers for keywords on stacks (sec +1, piercing, blocker, jamming, etc). Aside from that, i am soooooooo stoked to hop online with this

    This project is absolutely amazing and truly the work of dedicated fans 💪 Made respect from the South African community brother this is truly a masterful feat and I commend you and your team for the hard work and dedication.
    as for community feedback and questions I only really have 3 major ones:
    - Much like others have said in comments the UI/ UX needs a bit more tuning up. With the bulky text and the huge notification boxes its gets kind of jarring when a game is in full swing so may need to realign some elements + assets here and there. Sorry I'm a designer 😅 but these are things solved over time and with a project like this functionality is king over design so will wait for that update, just flagging it as something for future 😁
    - Notification screens as well may be better as a centralized asset darkening the screen behind for ease of reading and as not to cause information overload. Since there's already so much happening on the field something that pulls u away from all the unnecessary details and focuses on the main info u are being asked about may be a feature to look into to make decision making go a lot faster for players.
    - Finally this is more of a question of how the game is coded but would love to know anyways 😃 in terms of order of operations how is the game coded to handle multiple triggers in 1 instance for example in a Sakuyamon deck (First thing that came to mind 😅). Does the code simply stack the effects for u so u don't chose and simply resolves in instanced chains like YGO? or will the game segment each instance of effects so that u can delay effects? This is interesting for me personally as the complex fluidity of how effects resolve is something that I have always loved about the game and what differentiates it from other TCGs so would love to know how it work if u are able to explain 😁
    Again amazing work guys and wish you all the best in bringing this amazing experience to the community u are a gift to us all much love 🙏🙏

      For the ui we are improving it over time as we go along but focusing on functionality atm. We are also trying to clean up things such as the pop up box. Additionally you can choose between manual or automatic sequencing. So for decks that care about the ordering you can opt for manual to guarantee the correct order

      @@ADNudes 100% brother no stress lemme give just some high level feedback. Apologies in advance if I suggest any coding nightmares I'm just a designer so I look at form and don't really understand the functional or implementation side at all 😂😂
      - starting at the load screen looks good just maybe an idea to add art to the card particles in the BG pulling the art from the database
      - logo is good but maybe could be a bit more refined as the text glitch is a little hectic can't really tell what it says
      - circuit board flashes are a bit off for me would probably be better to animate the flat plains to have lights running along the boards (preferably a blue ish light) rather than the yellow flashes at set intervals
      - for the start text maybe a neat button instead of the huge blocky text would work better
      - for the main HUD as I said prior the text is very dated and the size and blocks are are rather big (almost unnecessarily) so maybe a drop in size for font and the box sizes
      - possibly an addition of a profile icon either set art or uploadable
      - deckloader is hella clean not much here just maybe an adjustment to the button sizes so they are rather next to each other in a row
      - not every button needs a colour or for a cleaner look maybe implement a rollover colour switch instead of a highlight
      - deckbuild same as deckloader feedback for buttons
      - maybe an update to the search function as a drop down menu over the full display menu. conversely could be a menu that pulls up and goes away once all filters are selected. So pops up, set filters, then drops away once filters are done. Leave the search bar as its own asset as searching specific names is faster than filtering so should be quickly accessable
      - for cards also add a second large icon for evo cost not just play cost
      - for field mat layout is very zoomed in so maybe push the mat out a bit so u have more room to work with and can layout the field giving it more room to breath
      - as per my OG comment the intrusive boxes get in the way so maybe look into a pop up that fades out the field and presents the effect trigger only as well as eligible targets
      - instead of a highlight for the mem gauge maybe look into having the gauge faded and then the relevant number highlighting as it moves across the gauge
      - for security to save on space instead of a big box with the number consider a gauge that flashes down as sec is lost so the gauge starts full and lights turn off as u lose sec
      - have the phase change notification in center screen instead of off to the center top
      - opponents hand size have across 1 line for space instead of stacked
      Sorry again for all the long winded responses and walls of text 😂 but this is a really kwl project and would love to see it in full effect soon ♥ Keep up the good work and if u need me to expand on anything or if I didn't say anything correctly please feel free to give me a shout 😁 once again love the work and wishing u guys full success in this project ♥♥♥

    That looks amazing! One thing feedback I can give is that its quite hard to see de digivolution cost of the cards in your hand due to the play cost marker. Maybe put one for evo too? I'm really excited to see this is becoming real!!! Great job!

    the sim looks amazing!!! the only feedback I have and it may already be something you're working on is being able to order the cards u send to deck bottom (or top) on searches

    Just a tiny "complaint", if you lable the color blue with a B, you would have to lable black as A not U for the sake if consistency. Its U in magic because it is spelled blUe. Doesnt change the fact, that this looks amaizing.

    it looks really cool and awesome. i think the only thing you could also implement its showing the digivolution cost in cards just like the play cost

    What's your tech stack looking like, and are you looking for contributors?
    Also are there any data collection hooks in here? Any plans to add a a replay system for analysing games? I've got tonnes of data science project ideas that could advance everyone's understanding of the game, but collecting enough data to do anything meaningful is always a challenge. An open data api and replay system could allow us to analyse matchup win rates, categorise decks, understand the relationship between different deck types, and potentially even create a position evaluation function (which would be a prerequisite to making a digimon engine).

    One thing i would suggest thst i saw from the Project Drasil manual sim thst could help give another small layer of protection is to edit the card backs of the cards to remove the digimon logo, just another measure to make sure bandai doesnt come after the sim. Reslly hooe this works out, cant wait.

      They are not in the project, he is just using custom textures (which we support for playmats and cards too)

    This looks fantastic. One thing I would recommend on first look is a way to sort your hand. It could be in the form of an auto sort button, or a manual drag and drop. That Bloomlord hand seemed hard to navigate.

    Man, remember the short ya uploaded a while back when you were hopeful about an official digital client coming out within the next decade and then it never did? I'm glad ya'll went the Thanos route and did it yourselves instead. The community can't thank you enough.

    Looks really good! I just feel like the huge pop ups when a card is returned to deck/hand or deleted is kind of annoying and a bit unnecessary? Could be made way smaller or just not exist. Same thing when you reveal, I feel like the small top-right window showing all the cards should be the default, instead of forcing you to make it smaller yourself and not be able to see your hand until you do. Also avoiding the "end selection" click would be nice too, especially on effects with just 1 target like Ajatar or Bloom. It's pretty out of the way.
    Also, do you get to choose the order in which cards go to the bottom? I didn't see you ever get to choose.

      If we get enough feedback about the popup windows we can make necessary changes! The reason you have to select end target even with only one target is because effects like Ajatar are “you may” even after paying cost. We have to be as accurate to the rules as possible. There is a setting you can toggle to decide whether you manually choose the way you bot deck cards/resolve skills versus auto doing it

    The work you guys put into DigimonTCG is very inspiring. I love it😍
    If you're open to community feedback, I'd suggest the following ...
    - It would nice to see your inheritable effects in the Battle Area.
    - Also, the look / UI of this website needs an immediate update. The mishmash of colours and bulky text, already make it look outdated. A nice clean white look would do wonders for eye appeal.
    Otherwise, I LOVE IT 😍
    p.s. that green and black matrix code during games needs to go!

      If you right click on a stack it will show all the inheritables and effects currently affecting the Digimon (such as Sec +\-). We are constantly trying to update the visuals but are very attentive if we notice mass feedback for specific things. We appreciate the comments and will look into it!

    Hello, pretty good effort and a truly big thing for the community, one suggestion. Could it be possible to add a timer with features? it could help to practice the pacing for big tournaments and stuff. Again thank you for this effort really appreciate it!

      We plan to add a timer eventually, currently do not have one in place for bug testing purposes

    Could you make a toggle, so the opponent's digimon are upsidedown? I really don't like the opponent's Digimon being upright like my Digimon, that confuses me in the other simulator too. Making this togglable would serve both sides, those who care and those who don't.

    It's very cool. It definitely needs some refinement, but it still looks pretty clean. I am not sure if you showed it, but I can't tell what it looks like when you attack security. I also can't tell, but maybe because your camera was in the way, but can we see our and our opponents' security? It would be cool to see a stack of cards instead of a counter. Just my only two cents.

    Immediate concerns i have 4 minutes in by allowing custom card arts. Not only for card recognition for your opponent, but also nsfw art being present being a super quick way to get cease & desist orders than this already is a target for.
