Yeah I loved the Christmas Carol motif in the whole dream sequences. I was actually geeking out soooo hard with this episode it wasn't funny. So many classic literary references in one episode, I probably looked like Pinkie trying to stay quiet as the Breezies were flying by. Charles Dickens, Earnest Hemingway, and John Donne all referenced in one episode *SQUEEEEE* (If it's not obvious one of my two minors in collage was English lit.)
The title is a reference to a line in a poem by 17th century poet John Donne. "any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never [ask] to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee." Earnest Hemingway also used the same quote for the title of one of his novels "For Whom the Bell Tolls". The expression is a reference to the practice of ringing a bell to mark someone's passing at a funeral or memorial service.
I know Sweetie Belle overreacted, but I still felt bad for her. Her first play ever, and all everyone talks about is what her sister did, making her feel like she's always in her shadow.
I would say 'SNAFU.' Sweetie Belle said she wanted the dresses to be 'perfect.' Rarity said she didn't like the sleeves, so she didn't change everything. She was obviously trying to stick to Sweetie Belle's vision. Luna is best Psychic Pony.
Tyler Mack If Ladix isn't up for that, then Zeb has a couple tutorials he did recently over on his channel. He's been doing a little series starting with How a Commentary is Made
Come now, Ladi,x you arent dumb youre just smart in different subjects. 17:20 A terrible fate one might say. ill agree luna episodes are always a delight but i wish the writers would give sun butt a special episode.
I would like to know why people tend to assume that they are at Saphire's house? Its obvious that they are at a dance studio, why else would there be another vast empty room similar to the one they were practicing in?
Even though what Sweetie did seemed extreme, I can understand her rage and frustration, especially if this sort of thing had been building up over the years and she kept it bottled up for so long. I'd like to think that the nightmare-ish portion of Sweeties dream, although started by Luna, was fueled mostly by Sweetie's imagination and worry about her sister. Luna was probably at Sapphire Shores' studio because she saw Sweetie's dream, and probably knew that she would be headed there to fix the problem she created.
In the opening, Rarity says that Sweetie Belle has been a big help to her. That's really different compared to when she tried to help her in the Sisterhooves Social episode where Sweetie Belle just made everything worse. Also, have you noticed that each of the CMC have had an episode centred around them and their sisters? Rarity and SB: For whom the sweetie belle toils AJ and AB: Somepony to watch over me Rainbow and Scootaloo: Flight to the finish (A bit of a stretch, though, since it sort of focused on mainly the CMC and not Rainbow.)
Sweetie Belle was reasonable in her actions. She worked so hard on the play probably harder than on anything she's ever worked on before. Then when the play was over all that anypony would talk about was what Rarity did. She never got her sense of accomplishment. Because she worked so hard on the play she thought it was amazing but the only good thing said about the play was Rarity's work she felt as if her sister wanted the spotlight.
Aww. :( Don't say you're stupid. That's bullshit. Nobody can know more than they know right now, and its always now. So all this "You are stupid" thinking only comes from comparison and the thinking, one could and should know more than the other right now. Thats just comparing what is with a fantasy thought. For most people it may be not important what you call different tones of a color, but in creating stuff, it is. You need to tell which is which cuz they all can create different feels, so of course names were created. Or numbers and codes as there also are. ^^ I love Sweetie using magic finally, too! I think Sweetie got so much more fleshed out in this episode. And her relationship to Rarity. Think of it - first she wanted her sister's attention. She got it in Sisterhooves social. Now the two are more eye to eye and so old conflicts are allowed to come up and get resolved. :D
I think the thing about the intro is random fanmade short clip of MLP. I guess Soundspeed did it on his videos. But it's your videos. So you'll be the judge.

It's also a Metallica song but there probably referencing the poem.

This episode is a perfect example as to why Sweetie Belle is my favorite of the CMC.

This episode turns really dark.
good job

awesome
do you still not know the reference! (spoiler alert)
it was referencing scrooge/a christmas carol.
Tittle makes me think of Metallica
