I can’t stop crying. This is sooooo beautiful, empowering, and freeing. You are both so beautiful, so brave, and so inspiring. My heart and soul feels refreshed. 💕
thank you so much for these videos! I've spent all afternoon watching as I'm considering becoming a SMBC and you and Kris' words of encouragement and open and honest conversations have been so insightful and helpful!
I have a new video coming out soon where I talk with my good friend Jessica about her journey to becoming a choice mom via known donor! Thank you for the kind words. :)
What's your perspective on the affects on the child later on growing up? I looked up a website of donor conceived individuals and their expression of questioning their "identity" and knowing their not conceived "naturally "... some were angry, sad, and some felt their lives crumbled and instantly when they found out... I know this is certainly a deep touchy su ject but very much needed !
This is a great topic for a video! Suffice it to say my analysis is that in my case the pro's outweigh the con's...if not, I wouldn't have done it. I have a friend who was donor conceived (father who raised her was infertile so parents used a sperm donor) and it was really comforting to hear her take on things. I think the context in which you raise your babies really matters. If you make it weird, it's weird. If you make it honest and positive and not freaky, then it's just novel. And my kids have lots of donor conceived friends so it's not even that odd in our circle. HUGE benefit of creating a Choice Mom community for yourself...which i highly encourage! :)
@@SummerLovret great points indeed. Tha ke so much for your response! I would like to start meeting other women in the same situation as me in my area. How did you meet other women SMBC? And how do you suggest to start? I'm near Dallas area.
