OnePlus 8 Pro is one of the most stable gaming phones. Even in OOS 11 it gives killer performance. Actually switching to custom ROM is somewhat technical. Not all people can do so.

It reached 35 degrees in winter I played with screen recording for 1 hour. Still it's good in heat handling as compared to lower OnePlus phones. But in summer using a phone cooler is highly recommended.
