- I go around Kilimani, a wealthy area in Nairobi, in Kenya, in Africa. First, I try some Kenyan street food (mishkaki), and then I go to China town, and have an absolutely wonderful Chinese soup from Chengdu.

The first time i went to nairobi and stayed for three months and fall in love with it. Second time went there and stayed 3 years and got our first son in nairobi. We are from Ethiopia
Good to learn that Ethiopians love Kenya. I am a Kenyan living in the UK and married to an Ethiopian from Addis, we have 3 kids. I love Ethiopia very much.

Kibera is a tiny slum. For profit "non-profit" "NGOs" & con-schemes labelled it as the largest slum for profit reasons. They said it has 4 million people when Nairobi has 4.5 million people. Insinuating that all of Nairobi lives in a slum called Kibera.
The census confirmed the population of Kibera is 170K not 2.5M as the NGOs were claiming. They made a lot of money out of that lie. Very shameful.

Kilimani is not a wealthy area of nairobi , its more of an upper middle class area.... Visit Muthaiga n Karen n see what wealthy nairobi looks like

Just where you got Mshikaki, try a restaurant called Kienyejis, they prepare African food as it was done in the old days. Wild mushrooms, Kienyeji chicken smoked first before making a stew.
The incredible thing is that this channel doesn't have a million subscribers; the effort, the races you run, the value of the content from an anthropological perspective - all of this should make the channel soar. Instead, random dancers get millions of views without offering a real contribution to growth. Kino, safe travels, and a good life.

The skewers (mishkaki) and bodaboda motorbike guy are either Burundian or Congolese or even Rwandese. Probably urban refugees released from Kakuma camp by UNHCR and the Kenyan govt. They are all over. They dont have the demeanour or language skills of Kenyans. Kilimani and Westlands had sort of rich foreigners but the other not so well-to-do ones have also followed them there.

If you want to see wealthy suburbs, go to Runda, and Muthaiga....go and visit Village Market. Kilimani, and Kileleshwa are the upper middle class.

I've been to that same restaurant, I remember I went with Beef Intestine Noodles, the spicy version for Ksh 800 Favorite part of that dish was drinking the broth left after I had eaten the noodles, so refreshing and filling.

Kibera is a very small area of 2km squared and a population of only 170k. It cannot be the largest slum in the world. Most of that wild data is over exaggerations by NGOs in order to get donor money. 15000 NGOs are registered as working for Kibera Slum improvement so ypu can tell how juicy the gravy train is.
