Hi Jeffrey. I have a question about when both an Upper GI and a Small Bowel Series are ordered together. I know that Small Bowel Series must have a scout image taken. When since the Upper GI is done first and there will be barium contrast. Should a scout image for the small bowel be taken and then proceed with the Upper GI? Thanks.
