If, God forbid, have to use the water in the pool for fires, make sure you put a steel plate under the pump in the pool, then set the pump on the plate. This is to keep the pump from sucking up the liner and causing you to loose the water. Obviously make sure the plate has very smooth rounded edges so it also doesn't damage the liner.
I saw something about the chopper s that dump water on the wild fires out in Cali will use ur pool if it s closer to whatever water supply they are using , could be a good thing if its closing in on the ranch

So, Salt water pools still require chlorine, Chlorine doesn’t make your skin/eyes burn, that’s the PH/H that causes it. If the water is too Acidic more basic people will be effected, if it’s too Basic more acidic people get effected. I work in the aquatics industry.

I don't know if you noticed but the tops of the mountains are not level with the fence or the pool. If you use your tractor to shave the top of the mountains off in such a way that it makes the pool level to the fence and level to the house, that would be the easiest way to correct it. It's math, trust me it will work.
Just curious but are you also planning on keeping the gate in the same place even once you finish the front entrance project? It would suck if you forgot and had to rip out the gate and redo it to match where the new entrance comes in
In case you ever have to get those pipes through again: I think a leaf blower could've helped. You'd probably need to tape off the openings on the side, but if you kinda blow up the tube that the pipes go into, it should be pretty easy to put them in. I'm curious if anyone has ever tried this.

It's a pretty good idea to learn on the ISO pattern, unless you own really old equipment. The reason they don’t recommend sand under the pool is that as water splashes out, it will slowly wash the sand out from underneath the legs/feet, ever so slowly sinking the sides of your pool. We did sand on ours, before reading the instructions, and learned this lesson after the first season, but we remedied it by adding paver stones under the legs and flush with the sand the following season; no issues after. An old timer I work with said the reason there are A and B controls on excavators is because Deere patented the controls so Cat and others had to make them a little different.

if you can, go salt water with a sand filter instead of chlorine, much better on the skin and doesn't burn the eyes

My cousins had one of those pools on soft dirt for a couple years it was great I don’t think compacted sand should be a problem at all.
I have one in the soft ground of Florida, the water actually compacts it very easily, I’ve put it on compacted sand and never had an issues
