Brought tears to my eyes. Been there done that on both sides of the aisle. I’ve been down and out, someone blessed me. Hi Anton also was able to be a blessing to someone when I got on my feet. The same feeling was on me..joy and hope!
This hit home for me Sam. As a fellow Sam in the world, I've been homeless since 2014. Back then I would get a job, get ahead & feel like I was getting myself out of the cycle. Then something would come up, cut hours,loose the job, truck needed repair & I would have to start saving all over again. In 2017, I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Cervical cancer. It shutdown my right kidney & had four surgeries to help fix that. In short, 13 surgeries, 25 external radiation treatments, 5 all day high dose internal radiation treatments, 6 rounds of chemo in six weeks but I made it through!! Developed Fibromyalgia pretty bad. Now I can't work & only get SSI, which isn't much. I'm in Colorado where the cost of living keeps rising & affordable housing is scarce. I panhandle to get by & yes, people are mean, say derogatory things but rarely will someone stop to hear my story. I've been begging for some form of housing but to no avail. I just want to feel normal again!!
This story is so true on so many levels!!! There are some genuinely good people in this world that are homeless and that could use helping hand !!! There are people in this world who are cruel and need prayer !! Just always remember WWJD What Would Jesus Do!?! Also Do unto others as you would have them do unto you !!! The saddest part of this whole skit was the child !!! Very eye opening I know it touched my heart ❤️💯 just always remember if your having it bad then there's always someone who's having it worse !!! I can say I've been there . When I first got out of the army ,I lost everything. No job ,no home and even my family turned on me . We got to love and help each other. God bless you brother

A lot of us cannot relate to the feeling of true need... especially when there are children involved. That was a good wake up call for all to see to help those who are temporarily down on their luck... Every little helps. Even though you were mobbed for being famous at the end 😅😂!!!

I really wish stories like this was true... i was homeless living in a tent with 5 children and working at a daycare center just ro feed my kids... they found out i eas homeless and fired me... i had to put my kida in foster care and they still did not help me.just put my kids up for adoption on me... lost my will to live but held on anyway. . Now i have one kid and fight daily to.keep a roof over his head...

I see it everyday. I own a semi truck , live in Georgia but run primarily out of indy due to contractual obligations. On the weekends I mainly stay at different truck stops around indy. Since I'm bobtail I can park in car parking area. You would be amazed how many people are living in there cars nowadays. Its so sad. Ive never been without a job and always worked hard. I just can't imagine living like that.
Every year I go for 2 whole weeks to live with homeless people in different cities,I've been doing ot before internet days, I'm a retired fireman and I have done this for 20 years but never recorded it, I've seen how most of these people out there on the streets started out just like us, the stories I've heard are amazing, there are really beautiful people out on the streets, and all.of us have to do our part, since our government won't

Saturday before last there was a cold 41 degree rain at about 10-11am. I live in Candler nc. Heading out to the store a man was walking. Since I have been there, I pulled up and asked him where he was headed. He got in and turned and said he was going to Boone's corner,a convenience store about 5 miles away and I was going right by it. Turns and he might have been 18. Said he was going to apply for a job. I am not sure what or why but I felt something,. I took him there and told him to put me down as a reference. He got the job and I just wanted some body to get this and know I am deciding to love. My Grandma told me love was the strongest thing in the world. Even satan can't stop it. Just thought I'd say.
I was standing outside of a store smoking a cigarette (yup - I was) while my wife was doing what women do inside when this skinny little guy walked up and asks for change in broken English. Right off the bat I could tell he was in pretty bad shape and more than likely an "illegal". I ask him where he was from and could tell he didn´t understand my question as he started walking away, looking down, sighing. I thought to myself "Oh what the hell" - stopping him I gave him a 5 dollar bill, put my cigarette out, and went into the store. My wife ask me what that was all about and I replied that I didn´t have a clue. She said, "Well whatever it was, it certainly put a smile on his face".

I'm homeless, jobless, because I'm vehicleless and pennyless and everything I do fall 10 steps further behind. And literally on a daily basis, I get robbed blind and even if I got raped I can't call and report it cuz the cops just laugh at me. Literally just had people steal over 10k in belongings and guns that was at a friend's house and cops did absolutely nothing about it🤬🥵🤬🤮... So what do you do?? I guess I need to find a carreer in drug dealing or prostitution since that's legal and ok🧐🤯🙄🥵😠
Everyone gets down on there luck sometimes but there's to meany that instead of help them but take time to kick them while Thsy are it's a shame to me that there's these that say no to abortions for not wanted children but why so thay can kick more that's not wanted it's so stupid the way this world is becoming
