*I hope you enjoy this roundup of the best Christmas market destinations in England!!* Again, I'd appreciate any recommendations for future travels, because this video definitely need a Part 2..... and I will say that I go into more detail about these markets in the written version of this guide, so be sure to check it out here: happytowander.com/best-christmas-markets-england/ PS: Some of these recommendations are more based on overall festive vibes of the destination rather than the merits of just their market alone, so if I had things my way, this video would have been titled "The Best Festive Destinations in England", but alas I had to choose something more search-friendly, hence the "Best Christmas Markets in England" title... just know that there's way more to these destinations than just their markets!!!
Oxford is a great city to visit although their Christmas market is surprisingly poor; more of a bonus if you happen to be there that time of year. York (okay don’t try that on a day trip from London) is popular with tourists anyway and has a good Christmas market. Between that and Birmingham you’ll have all the mulled wine and giant sausages you could ever consume. The Walk With Me Tim channel has good videos on both. Many U.K. cities have some kind of Christmas market but they only run for quite a short time so always check dates. Worcester (that’s as doable as Birmingham from London) has a nice one and is a good city to visit with a good cathedral. The Glastonbury Frost Fayre for something slightly different (and Glastonbury is a really interesting visit anyway).
@@filmneekBirmingham saw a massive rise in tourism from the US and Canada over the last two years, many I’ve spoke to really liked the city and what it had to offer in terms of Arts, leisure, bars/restaurants and found the people very friendly and warm…. And it easily has the best and biggest Christmas markets yearly ( the very large German Christmas market and the Birmingham independent market and that’s just central Brum, with many more throughout the city too )

Yay I’m so happy you’re here! Thanks for subscribing and I hope you enjoyed the video 🥰
thank you❤❤❤❤
Did you have to pay to get into the Blenheim Palace Christmas market?
Yes, it is expensive
Apart from Birmingham they are all in the south! We do have them in the north.
Most Americans don’t bother visiting anywhere other than the south.
@@filmneek maybe don't call it the best ten "in England" then.
@@catgladwell5684 you’re acting like I made the video.
@@filmneek yes, I can see that - sorry. I meant that happy to wander, whoever that is, had given it a highly unsuitable title. Miffed.
