Found mine on the front of the engine T4 AJT 2.5 TDI , much more awkward than yours . Mine wasn't showing a dashboard light but it was seeping oil out onto the under tray.

Cheers for the info, i don't have the light but my sensor is leaking so I'll replace it when i change filter.

A useful video but it would be helpful to know the location of the sensor. I assume it's underneath the engine? I can't see mine because of the engine guard.

Just above the filter, yes you'll need to drop the cover to get to it.
Do an oil change at the same time.
You can easily do this on driveway. You'll need jack and stands if your van is slammed.

Was it the yellow oil lamp that was flashing?
Same issue on my 2003 transporter. Will try this myself.

Yes it was the yellow one showing up on the dashboard. Good luck 👍🏻

Hello, take it easy, I have a 2000 model t4 2.5 tdi vehicle. Even though the oil level is full, when I turn on the ignition, the yellow oil lamp flashes 4 times. What could be the reason for this? Thanks.

Also throws a p1654-35-10 code (18062) same as coolant sensors if it helps anyone.

A family member is currently having this issue with her van, except it's a red flashing warning light and beep intermittently (will sometimes go off by its self or will go off after pulling over an turning engine off) only AFTER having a routine oil & filter change. Had a 2nd oil, filter change and new oil pressure switch put in. Still doing it. Garage say oil pressure is good. Maintains normal temp, no strange sounds of any kind, no loss of power. At a total loss of what this could be...

Have you checked all the electric connections and fuses?

@@MonkeysUncleDubzClub I have not. Personally I'm not massively mechanically minded so it's all a bit daunting but I have heard a few things like it could be an alternator issue or a wire coming off of it (blue wire to be specific) also heard it could be a dash cluster issue? How could potential electrical faults happen after a routine oil & filter change? That's where it's baffling...
