Great video, thanks guys. You've sold me on Port Barton, definitely will add to my list when I visit Palawan again. It's definitely similar to what el nido was when I visited. And I'm definitely for 5 days of chilling out. Sorry to hear about your back Lee, nothing worse, hope the pain subsides quickly.
I hope you go and like it. I love those kind of places that are still quite undeveloped for tourism so it keeps the crowds away. Dirt streets and waking to the sound of cockerels crowing is my kind of place! 😊 I've learned to live with the back pain coming and going and deal with it as it flares up. 👍
Thank you, Carolina. It's definitely not fun when it happens, and Lee's learnt different techniques over the years for dealing with his back. Thankfully it's perfectly fine now here in Pakistan, so he can go hkiing in the spectacular mountains 🙏🤗

i loved the philippines and cant wait to go back but there were a few things i didnt like. having to pay entrance fees to beaches. i like to beach hop during the day & it can get expensive along with parking too if i have to keep shelling out pesos.
That is unfortunate. We didn't have that experience as didn't go to any beaches with a fee. We did have to pay an 'environmental' fee to go to Banaue and Batad but I'm not sure how it was spent because in many places there was still a lot of litter thrown around. 😌
Better have a check-up with s PT doctor to give you Lumbar Radiculopathy lab test, where cables will be attached to ankles, back of knee etc attached to a computer and seen in a computer scren by dr to see what vertebra in the spinal cord has a problem, if there are nerves that are being pinched. Better do this to prevent getting aggravated then many sessions of therapies will happen and to avoid carrying heavy, no stooping down, no bumpy rides, no running. Because I was uounger then then carried wrongly something heavy,I got a slip disc at Lumbar 4, so good thing I quickly had myself checked-up by a Special Rehabilitation Medicine Doctor, had 12 sessions of PT treatments. Though lifetime to avoid those I mentioned so as to be able to walk. DONT DELAY.
Thanks so much Victoria 🙏. I've had many tests and scans over the years. An MRI revealed a bulging disc L4 L5 which gives me trouble if I aggravate it and the nerve gets pinched. It causes sciatic pain and muscle spasms that cause scoliosis. I've learned how to deal with it over time by avoiding the triggers and treat it with rest, light stretches, yoga to bring my body back into shape, heat treatment to the muscles and anti inflammatories. Sometimes it can take days or weeks to correct. An inconvenience when travelling in testing circumstances but it will never stop me from backpacking the world. 😁👍🙏
@@FrugalTravellers I love your videos. I also had back problems for many years. I had two issues. One was a sacroilliac joint problem which a therapist could put back into place until I learned how to adjust it myself through watching youtube videos. And then I had lower back problems which seemed to come on with very little aggravation eg doing up shoelaces, sneezing or even playing pool for too long. The inflamation (stiffness/pain) would always go away after 2-10 days. That was until I discovered the Mackenzie technique. I visited a practitioner and she advised doing a gentle cobra pose from Yoga twice a day and never sit without support for the lower back so on a plane journey or bus ride I always use a jersey like a cushion to support my lower back and the same for sitting in a restaurant or sitting anywhere. After 10 years of intermitent back pain I have now gone 7 years with very few issues.
