Sidekick 10 combo table owner here. I am also thankful I ordered my machine with collision detection. I can't agree more about Shopsabre's customer service. It is outstanding.in every respect, Hope to buy a dedicated router table from them someday.
I would imagine that this upgrade was sent to you for free because you are a semi ambassador for that plasma cutter. I cant imagine why they wouldnt send you directions or at least a link to a video so you could be confident doing the upgrade. I dont know if a plain old slob that bought that table and needed the same upgrade would get an hour of tech support. Sending a box of parts to install blindly on a probably $20k machine would make me look elsewhere for such a big investment. They shot themselves in the foot here. I absolutely LOVE this channel
Tay, Thanks for another great video! I have a sidekick 8 and love it and I have had many of the same experiences you have shared. I can also attest to the GREAT tech support from Shop Sabre, all the people awesome to work with. Their customer service is one of the biggest reasons i went with their table.
Just ffound your channel, I'm a red seal J man from Alberta Canada.. watching youtr vids made me pull the trigger on getting my own table ordered and set up! no longer going be working for someone else! love the channel
I don’t have any experience with the base torch holder. I ordered my collision detection with the machine so it was already set up. Getting into that control box is not fun. I had to get into it and it kinda sucks. I do need to say that their tech support service is outstanding! ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO! Thanks!
Great video! We got our collision detection today and trying to get installed. One thing I noticed is that you have your plasma cable inside the track, I did that at first and was told to run it on the outside because it can pickup interference. Right after I laid it in the cable track hahah
Hey Tay I have 5x10 Shop Sabre all so. How do you like Enroute I'm thinking about Pro nest LT. I all so have the collision detection upgrade works great and your right about technical support team.
Enroute feels like it was designed in the 90's and never updated lol. That being said, it's really good at a few things, like importing a picture and turning it into curves the cutter can understand. Making signs from images is SUPER easy with enroute. So, like any piece of software, there are pros and cons. If you've ever used autocad, the navigation and layout of the tools in the software is going to be mega frustrating. Thanks for watching! - Tay
I use pronest for all my nesting. Love it.. but the 550$ year fee is never-ending. I did just pay for the true nesting enroute add on (one time fee) and once i figure it out im hoping to drop pro nest. I have been on phone with tech and did true nest a bunch of art.. it actually did it faster than pronest.. pronest can take some time and freeze up if nesting say 25 peices of different size shapes and art.
Have you had the problem where the torch goes to touch off on the metal and doesn't sense the touch and pile drives the z axis all the way down? I have had this problem constantly and shopsabre has made some adjustments that did not fit the problem and it is running parts when it only does it a little bit and would have put a hole in the bottom of my table when torch lit if there was not a bunch of drops in the water
Yeah that has happened to me a few times. Clean every metal contact between the spade connector and the cutting shield on your torch. Thin layers of corrosion can build up between the various metals with all the water
I'd rather a supplier give me a choice based on price and functionality. On small stuff, a bump against a tip up may move the whole metal sheet and getting back to your zero point may not be easy. So choice is good based on what you need.

Good customer service makes all the difference👍
If shopsabre tells you to get this particular accessory, you should do that at time of purchase.

Great job anything to make life easier. Well done 👏. Thanks 😊!!
AMEN!
By now, I'm positive that you know you, your wife, kids, pets and friends pets by name.
But, you paid for that product, and also for the support.
Your videos was my motivation for ordering the collision detection WITH my table. Do you like having your plasma cable through the harness?

How many Inch per min. can your machine run at?

Difficult, but fragile. How did you know how my wife describes me?!?!?!?! Bwahahahahaha Great job Tay! John here.
HAHAHA Thanks! You gotta be known for something... Cheers - Tay
Main reason i ordered shop sabre was customer service... they answer phone daily.
really nice video tnks
9:00 FOUL! unroll the cable so it don't have twists in it..
Upgrade? Shouldn’t that be standard equipment on something that expensive and dangerous? This wasn’t toy grade right, so why a stripped down version?

No excuse for not having instructions on how to install it. Does shop sabre charge you for customer support
gust put your video on facebook facebook.com/groups/CncPlasmatipstrickssharing
Thank you! I requested to join that group! Cheers - Tay
