I built my own cnc plasma table a year ago and it totally changed what I was able to make. Money well spent! Myplasm is a great controller too. Just need to get my torch height control right 🤦🏻♂️ it’s such a learning curve
Love your videos mate. Built my own LSA landcruiser, moving on to my next build (1988 hilux) planning coilovers and another LS/Barra. Would love to incorporate/utilise some of the methods you use such as CAD and CNC. Are you able to make a video for DIYs getting into CAD drawing and CNC ? Mainly the options available out there and how to get into it. The premier cad software is incredibly expensive for a non commercial user
You actually built a CNC plasma cutter for a real-life application and a business need. I am building one so that I just have it in case I ever need to cut something lol.
Awesome Design! But why you chose to put the rack and pinion system above the linear guides, do you gain anything by doing it this way? Just asking cause i am curious and i will built my own plasma table soon! Btw will you sell the plans? Anyways, thank you for this video:P
There is a subtle reason for this. The rack is recessed into the aluminium extrusion to allow for the motor pinion to be as close as possible to the rack to enable max engagement.
This is Great! I'm waiting on mine to be shipped over to me in NZ. I see this is made from Steel, is there an additive that gets added to the water to stop this from rusting out?
@DesignedandBuilt Did you guys pay full freight on this machine, or did blue carve sponsor you in any way? I've been looking at these and am wondering if you've found any limitations with it? How have you been cutting aluminium with it? have you been using Nitrogen? How have you been dealing with the problem of Hydrogen gas build up under the sheet and causing an explosion?
Blue carve didn't sponsor use in any way. I've cut a heap of aluminium with it, requirers a light sand with a stripper. Haven't been using nitrogen. Haven't had any explosions.
Interesting, first time using lapelle microphones and messed up the left and right audio channels but didn’t think that would lead to it cutting out. Apologies, will sort it out for next time!
@@DesignedandBuilt don't be sorry mate :) just letting you know as I'm sure you don't have time to always watch it through we are all human and make mistakes, love watching your stuff

I built my own table and as well used the myplasm controller. I finally got the THC figured out and will be doing a full video on it soon.
Great walkthrough, thanks for explaining the benefits, reasoning, etc.
Thank you!
I loved your working mood🎉🎉🎉❤
Love you guys☮️💕💕💕
Aussie made steel, well done lads.
Hi, i like your design, what is maximum linear travel speed, and what dimension of rack and pinion you are using?
Wow that is very impressive design and very well made. I hope to some day reach this Level you guys are at right now, Very inspiring.
Just picked up my Blue Carve CNC (Australian made👌) with a Thermacut EX-TRAFIRE 100SD Plasma.
Congrats on the purchase!
Looking at Blue Carve, Unimig and Weldclass for a setup. How are you going with your Blue Carve table mate? Happy?
@@digitalcommerceau Extremely happy, would recommend 10/10! Recommend getting a full sheet if you have the room, works out much cheaper with material.
Awesome video Rich, that paint job looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Game changing toys.
Certainly is!

Can you link for the kit for
the plasma?
Where can we order the machine?
Thanks for video! May I ask you to tell aluminium profile size or type?
Hey mate, no worries. Profile size for what sorry?
@@DesignedandBuilt i mean Y-axis aluminium tube cross section size. 160*80mm? Thanks fore reply
How often do you have the exchange the coolant?
It really depends on how much you are using the machine, for our usercase probably yearly. We welded on a tap fitting so its easy to drain!
@@DesignedandBuiltdid you guys design and cut the bedknife or was it supplied?

There is mate yeah
Kool, are you cutting out any welding tables?
We can cut them for you! Dm me :)
Cheers, at this stage I don't need any thing but I'll let you know when I do
Hey mate, How does this setup do on thin sheet metal? Is the cut speed fast enough for 1-3mm sheet?
Yeah its a ripper!

OOOoo LCS online store is up?
Yep, feel free to purchase some 40 series parts for your patrol. I hear they’ll bolt straight in.
you ever going to do some patrol content on this channel?
could be good!
Ooo yeah, could be SpIcY. Barra swap a patrol could be great for the channel.
Hi from Mexico, I love your videos. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Stars all the way!
Can you sell me your blue print for the welding table? The small welding table.
nothing like having a 30,000 dollar plasma cutting table to make you a 30,000 dollar plasma cutting table.
? We didn't use one ha!
Nice build guys! What plasma cutter are you using?
SWS but may look at upgrading to something else so we can cut thicker material!
@@DesignedandBuilt how would you rate the SWS overall? Only reason you’re upgrading is to cut thicker material?
@@dcautomotivebathurst3264 Bluecarve have switched to using Hypertherm. We have switched now as well.
