If I owned an antique store I'd have to call it "My Mother's Basement" she was a collector of many things I see when you're shopping. She was always going to open a store just never got around to it. She always said, when I'm gone don't throw away these things their worth money. And yes, some of them were.

I hate that people are painting beautiful old antique furniture, but I always said to myself, it's OK someone will just have to strip it when it comes back in style. We stripped a lot of it in the 70's. Now I can't tell myself that anymore. It's OK for the new faux wood stuff, that looks pretty good, but nooo not the old oak and mahogany.

Michael I am new to your videos and I just have to say this as nice as possible...I am a reseller also and I watch many resellers on TH-cam. You don't buy junk or broken items and you aren't afraid to pay up for something of value. I REALLY enjoy your videos and of course Richard is a sweetheart!!

My ancestors came fro. Loudoun County, Va to Champaign County Oh. Before 1820. They were listed on the 1818 voters list in Logan County when they split part of Champaign county. Their names were Isaac Hatcher (1769-1845) who married Rebecca Randall (1766-1827). They were both buried in Hatcher Cemetery in Logan County. Also, there was his son, James Hatcher (1785-1875) and his wife Sarah Rea (1798-1865.) Would be curious if they might have been mentioned in that older Champaign county history book. Wish i lived close to that are. Id be snatching up all those old book.😊

At 25:08 there's something I wished you had picked up. It's at the back, to the left of the $2 hand painted scatter pins. It looks like a ceramic piece of a figurine with a book crashing through the music page. Its so weird, I wish you had discovered it.

Thanks for showing us these really nice shops. Always fun to shop with you both. The cake shop was cool too. Do they have sugar free? That would be great. Till the next time. Bye guys.

Well, we have similar but different tastes in smalls. I've long shop Tina's store as well as the previous incarnations of Nanny Goat's and Nivroc's. I've spent a lot of time in The Boston Store. I can usually find something at Serendipity. I usually have a great time but sometimes shop owners are off their game that day and we clash. It's fine. As for "Let's Eat Cake", I have yet to not love something from there. ❤️👍
