  • "Tony Parker - Tornado Spin Moves" is a crossover spin move compilation mix I made for the future Hall of Famers, and probably one of the best international players, Tony Parker.

    One of his signature moves along with his patented floater.
    Brilliant point guard that gets discredited/underrated due to the Spurs' collective greatness.

    TP has the best spin move in league history. The quickness, the setup, the use of it on the break, in traffic, leading to a pass...what an effective and also visually appealing move!

    it seems the nba now has no Point guard using this spin so frequently like parker did. And I am still amazed by parker how he started the offense with a screen and then decided to spin with so few space left near the paint, and without getting blocked. It's just art.

    People don’t know how fast ur legs actually gotta be do this in game without being met by a big man especially in the league. That is y I laugh when people say tony Parker, manu ginobili is not athletic, they obviously don’t hoop.

      Footwork isnt athleticism, footwork is to compensate for athleticism, like what timmy was doing, you best believe he thought them some tricks and gave em some pointers, im not a spot up shoot with either i need to be off the dribble to even make a bucket and my footwork its 75% of my game, although im not a athlete or nba star

      @frankg1969 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree some people think that to be athletic you gotta be able to dunk from the free throw line, absolutely nobody makes it to the nba without being more athletic and most times wayy more athletic than the average person

      You don’t exactly need to be fast to pull off that move. It’s similar to the euro step because if you look closely Tony is still taking his two steps. Though speed helps to threaten your defender, If you do it right it all comes down to foot work, balance, change of pace, timing and sealing off your defender. Something any one can learn with practice. Of course you need to have basket awareness and know where the other defenders are but even the slowest player can be deadly with that move if they master it.

    I had to slow down the video to 0.25x speed to really see why it's more effective than most people's spin move:
    1. Most people don't even try to do a spin move or lose control when doing so
    2. Tony sells going way and spins immediately in the other direction. Most times, he's selling a hard dribble pointing baseline but spins away from baseline and ends up right in front of the rim with the defender closing baseline. Simple but effective. Crossovers can get stripped but you can't strip a ball covered by your back

    It’s so interesting how his spin move if you notice is always going to the left so strong dribble towards left side then spins towards right again something like that but always the same direction spin move wow

      Yeah, I noticed that too. To sell that at game speed on a regular basis is phenomenal.

    • @gesichtsgroove
      @gesichtsgroove 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the move is not about the spin. you have to attack a angle between going basline or middle with full speed, so the defender has to commit (shuffeling feet). The defender now just knows you are fast but still doesnt know if you go basline or middle. now your stop hard with the inside dribble, all your momentum going baseline, most defenders now commit baseline, they go for the inside dribble. now you can do the spin move with the rest of your speed + enough control to buildt in a pump fake. of course the spin is important, but the setup is timing, reading the defender, attaking the right angle and really pounding the ball hard while slowing down with the inside dribble. super effective.
