Taeyeon is supposed to be Artemis in this. I think there are few other albums in kpop that were greek mythology inspired? But i can only remember VIXX tbh they had a Trilogy starting from Zelos to Hades then Kratos, i totally recommend The Closer and Fantasy.
On the other hand Taeyeon looked hecking gorgeous here, girlie aint real please and true killing voice was just oof, also i'm glad you're reacting to APINK! When they debuted they had a cute concept which people loved so much and it got them real popular and tbh they have some of the most cute iconic songs in kpop like Mr.Chu and No, No, No or L.U.V but when they grew up at one point they were like done with it and wanted to try something else hence the beginning with I'm So Sick which was their first song that showed their more mature side.

They switched up their sound and image to a more mature synth-y approach back in 2018 with I’m So Sick and followed up with %% and Dumhdurum, all of which are amazing and really got them more attention from international fans, but in Korea they’ve been releasing hit after hit since debut with songs like Mr Chu, LUV, and No No No! Also Eunji is 100% one of the best vocalists around

INVU feels so GRAND and so captivating. Taeyeon is Artemis (goddess of the hunt, the moon, virginity etc) here.
There're SO MANY versions of this story but this is they choose.
Artemis fell in love with a hunter named 'Orion' but her twin brother Apollo was quite against this love affair, though, and devised a plan. One day, while Orion was swimming in a lake with his head barely visible, Apollo went to his sister and challenged her skills as an archer. To prove him wrong, he told her to shoot at Orion's head, whom Artemis barely recognised, as there was a considerable distance between them. Artemis hit the target, unknowingly killing her lover. In the end, Artemis turned Orion to a constellation.

Zuho the male version of venus is a criminally underrated main rapper in the industry his flow is out of this world. He is also an incredible producer. I love that SF9 is very mature in sound and concept. Also I have listened to a lot of Kpop albums and SF9 genuinely has one of the best b-sides in Kpop. fun facts!
- Apink debuted with a fairy/pure concept, so their earlier songs are you know bright pop sth like that but their sound, while slow, changed overtime as they matured. On their 7th year (there's this 7 yr curse that they call for any groups bec they usually end up splitting since it is the time where groups have renewal talks and stuff, OR groups really just don't reach their 7th yr at all.) Apink came back with a song that is that is the farthest from their original concept, but was still able to retain their own sound.
- the member you said we should give an oscar? She is Eunji, the main vocalist of Apink, and also considered as one of the best idol-actors atm. Speaking of idol-actors, every Apink member has acted, and the members who are mostly active in acting (when not having group promos) is Eunji and Naeun (the one crying in front of the mirror during the 'no girls like me boy you gotta see' part)
- Eunji is known as one of the best main vocalists among idols, having insane range and stability. She has a cover of Frozen's Into The Unknown, but 3 keys higher 🤣

Yes! SF9 were robbed a lot. Even IKON had some amazing performances and The Boyz are always amazing (but for me they were better in season 1 and its normal, since they had to be double creative since they were repeating another season).
@@hp5682 Personally I think The Boyz set the standard for performances in S1 that they were up against themselves and other groups and still hit it out of the park for me. I think iKON is great but the composition of their songs were not my favorite, as well as for some of the other groups. Ateez were a huge contender for me as well.

Okay, so you finally reacted to Apink! I already saw a couple of comments mentioning their career, but yes they debuted in 2011 and they have been releasing hit after hit. I followed them since Nonono era and they never miss, they changed their style and they are still one of the best girl groups.
Also, yes they deserve an Oscar, everybody is an actress.
I am not putting pressure on you but you should dive deep into Apink, I think you are going to like all of their music, even the cute concepts from their beginning.

Thanks for reacting to Apink! They're a pretty prominent senior girl group that's been active since 2011. I believe they're still the girl group with the most music show wins with their song LUV from 2014.
Dilemma was produced by Black Eyed Pilseung, who's a duo famous for producing a lot of huge hits in kpop (Fancy, If You Do, Roller Coaster, etc.) - they also are the CEOs for STAYC's company and produces the majority of their songs.
If you do decide to check out Apink more, they have a "holy trinity" of comebacks all produced by BEP that successfully rebranded their sound to a more mature one after being successful for their classic bubbly, feminine concept for about 7 years. They're "I'm So Sick," "%%," and "Dumhdurum."
Jeong Eunji (the one who stood out to you for her acting) is also considered one of the best female kpop vocalists of all time, and has a variety of covers on her TH-cam channel as well as an extensive solo discography that I would recommend checking out just for her talent alone.

My girls, APINK!! So excited for this reaction! I don’t know about any other panda (our fandom name) but I’ve refrained from recommending cuz I know how stacked your plate is when it comes to recommends.
Apink is a 6 member 2nd Gen girl group from IST Entertainment that debuted in 2011. Literally the only 2nd Gen girl group still active today (even the current line up for Brave Girls aren’t the ogs). They are immensely popular in South Korea, influencing many groups that came after them (like gfriend, oh my girl, twice etc) consistently keeping their cute concepts with their particular sound before absolutely MURDERING everyone in 2018 with an unexpected concept change that showcased their musical growth. Honestly the last trilogy of releases brought them so much international attention. Also if you’ve watched any variety shows, you’ve come across at least some of their hit songs because they’re honestly just that iconic.
Funny you mention acting lol All the members are actresses, most notably Eunji (the sad eyes, and “Oscar” scream) and Naeun (the trap part after that 2nd verse).
Vocal QUEENS of 2nd Gen! The main vocalist, Eunji, is one of the best vocalists in SK (I don’t wanna be a gushy fan but she’s so good. SO GOOD) but the voice you really liked is our leader, Chorong.
Honest though, give Dilemma another listen! This song is an EARWORM and their album Horn (for their 10th anniversary) is so good! Definitely one of the AOTY for me!

i was pleasantly surprised by tempest's debut!! i'm a sucker for bright energetic songs and i feel like not many boy groups have been doing that type of sound as of late so it's nice when a song like bad news comes along :')
Apink is from 2nd gen,I think they're the only second gen girl group that was still active till now.
SF9 is criminally under appreciated. They have king have carved their path at being very good at the sexy, gentleman with funky/euro beats. Their early songs I'd say are a bit more similar to maybe some 4th gen groups, just ahead of their time. I def recommend a journey listen to them and also from Kingdom, BTOB. SF9 may wipe the floor with their sexy vibes and BTOB with ballads but both are such fun groups with fun funky songs too.
Taeyeon is a queen and Spotify is going to be like mam you have listened to INVU too much. Apink are queens. Active since the end of gen2 so many people are just happy they keep coming out with bangers since most girl groups suffer the 7 year curse but at 12 years they are still going and the songs are amazing. Their music evolved as they got older as their early music is much more girly bubblegum vibes and now they have more mature women songs.

I don't know if someone already mentionned it because there are a lot of comments already, but when you were wondering about "U N" in the SF9 MV, it's "one" but in French. It says "neuf (nine)" on the umbrella, "cinq (five)" on the cryptex, etc. But wow, yes thank you for reacting to my underrated kings. They are so talented. And that song, the "I don't like this drama" before the rap parts start like URGH MY HEART. I know you don't take requests or anything, but I will cross my fingers that you will react more to them in the future. I am sure you won't regret it. Now or never is one of the best kpop songs I have ever heard and I am willing to die on that hill.
I never really checked Taeyeon's stuff until INVU, which I decided to check out because the teaser pics caught my eyes, and the song is SO GOOD. Honestly, it was added immediately to my playlist. Her vocals in this truly make the song imo.
I know what you mean about the youthful energy of Tempest. It gave me older kpop generations vibes and as you said, it was so so refreshing. I started listening to kpop with the second generation, and I feel like now the "harder", "darker" and "sexier" concepts are preferred and have sort of become the norm. Of course there are still groups that do fun and bright concepts, but...they are getting rare. So when I heard this song, which doesn't sound like 3 different songs have been mashed into one, I was immediately sold. My (older) ears, were quite happy haha
It's funny because I didn't use to like Apink before they had their grand return with I'm so sick in 2018. Their music back then were just not the type of music I liked, but I have loved every single one of their releases from 2018 until now.
