Don't buy any with a warming tray. Buy the BUNN 55200 CSB3T with Thermal Carafe. Been using Bunn's since the '70's and my wife always left the warmer on, scorching the hell out of the coffee. Finally got tired of it and purchased the CSB3T a couple years ago. AWESOME! Keeps coffee hot and drinkable for hours. Gave the GRB to the kids. Damn things last forever with just a little descaling care.
I've only owned the speed brew ones but my mom has the one with the stainless carafe. It's nice ro not accidently scorch your coffee but beware that if it's not sitting g EXACTLY right the coffee will pour right off its lid onto your counter!
I would not want to leave the water heated all the time, but maybe if it had a timer to start this process in the morning at a certain time, it would make better sense.
We've owned Bunn coffee makers since the 90's. our newest one is the one with a warming switch on the bottum. Not good at all, We can't see if it is off or on without walking up to it and leaning down to see it. A basic flaw in the design, first time ever that we weren't happy with Bunn. The button is blue but there isn't any light.
so how does each or all of the bunn coffee taste vs the technivorm? the techni mocca master is rated #1 for best taste, smoothness, richness, etc., compared to all home coffee makers. i haven't tasted the techni but i have tasted a commercial bunn coffee maker and the bunn was the best taste i ever had. not sure if the home plastic models of the bunn taste different than the commercial all stainless steel models. thanks.
That is an interesting question. I have found that coffee taste is dependent on how much coffee grounds are used, coffee blend used, the grind of the coffee blend used, the type of coffee used, and the speed of the brew. You have to match these to each individual coffeemaker model to your taste. Generally, the coffeemaker has very little influence on the coffee actually made, that is it doesn't impart taste to the end product. With that said, Bunn has from time to time made available at no cost, a different spray head for decaf coffee which slows the hot water delivery for a longer pour through to extract slightly more flavor from the decaf grounds. You may note that many decaf coffees are ground finer that the regular, caffeine version. It isn't advertised but those spray heads might be available from Bunn customer service. Bunn coffeemakers work best if you brew a pot of coffee each day. Over 40+ years, I am on my 5th or 6th Bunn.
We used our bunn coffee for years!!used everyday! 3 pots a day! Excellent flavor. Add water to the lid area. The hot water in the back fills the coffee grounds . We used maxwell house coffee. We loved the flavor ! Tasted fresh and always ready! Best coffee. This my #1 unit . For coffee.
I have used Bunn coffee makers for 40 years.I currently have 3 in my home and all 3 of them leak! I am heartbroken!! I have to put a tray under them to catch the water! Help!!!!!
If you leave the hot plate on it will burn the coffee ☕️ FYI. I bought the one with no hot plate. People have burn the coffee and ruin the pot many times at my work place.
If the carafe is less than half full you may have those issues if you leave it for an extended period of time however a full or nearly full pot on the hot plate should not be an issue.
Bunn makes excellent coffee makers! In many restaurants they use the Bunn brand that says it all!

Are last coffee maker was a BUNN and it brewed a pot of coffee in less than 2 minutes. When it was new it took 1 minute 20 seconds to brew a pot.
Bunn coats the carafe with oil bubble wrap so you dont wind up with rust on it

How do you wash the stainless steel carafes?
Tough one. Use a cleaning brush and you can purchase cleaner for this stuff.
