  • A couple of tack tips for y'all. First we show you a couple of ways to comfortably handle your saddle. Secondly, you'll learn proper technique for getting the saddle onto the horse's back without straining. Lastly is a tip on how to store your latigo so that cinching up next time will be easy and smooth. Little things that smooth out and streamline the process of saddling and unsaddling really do come into play in a training operation where you are working 25-30 horse a day.

It’s amazing how so many people have a little different ways of doing things. They all get ya where you want to go, but some are a lot quicker and easier. Your tips are solid and I’ll be adjusting my procedures a bit. Thanks and appreciate you taking the time to do these videos!!!

Thanks for showing a no-nonesense technique for saddling the horse. For me its a refresher for not riding in over 5 years.

That saddle lift is a lot easier if you are taller than 4'11"! I just can't get it right!

oh one more thing. I know this is the right way to saddle and I do try. I am very short and sometimes this just doesn't work with a very large horse. lol. I have really really short legs. When my husband makes new holes to shorten my stirrups ...he laughs and calls me a munchkin.
