he is a beautiful little boy...he might not be able to really verbally communicate but that baby KNOWS.just to watch his eyes..he knows!!! i only started following u guys a couple days ago..and i am amazed at him..and of course his little sister she is gorgeous! I find myself cheering for him so hard thru his feedings and his exercises...and boy i screamed out in joy when he climbed the stairs..so excited for his future!! God bless you all family!!!! Mom and Dad you are incredible..keep on being awesome!!!
A few months ago I was walking through the SL airport headed on a work trip and there was the cutest little girl running around wearing AFOs and using a walking frame (not sure of the technical name for it, like a half circle walker on wheels) and all i could think was that's going to be Beckham some day. The future is bright! What a game changer.
AFO is short Ankle Foot Orthosis I wear them as well with shoes and you are right they help so much.
Man I love this kid. He's such an inspiration. What a hero he is. You are such a brave boy Beckham. Thank you Mom and Dad for allowing us to share this journey with you even though it's been a tough one you all are doing a great job. Your kids are amazing and I love seeing how great he's doing each and every day.

Oh Rachel this was a stellar day for Beckham! The positioning of his legs in that walker was amazing. I imagine he feels strange w casts off and new braces, etc. soon he’ll be buzzing about the place! Next stop…walking! All the prayers always for Becks❤️
Awe thank you Megan! Today really was incredible. He kept reaching down and touching his legs! I'm sure it felt incredible for him!
@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ He already can walk with the gait trainer. Over time and a lot of practice I can Beckham using the gait trainer with maybe arm prompts/handles maybe with his AFOs and shoes either he will use the gait trainer independently or I could see him also be able to use a Kaye walker. He will take off.

@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ Rachel next time Beckham is in gait trainer not that he has had his surgery and he has AFO's, the AFO's and supportive shoes will help lesson the high tone in Beckham feet and and his toes may not curl as much and he may just take off because will be easier for him now
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Wednesday afternoon and evening with the kids and hope everything went smoothly according to the surgeon and can't wait to see Beckham in his gait trainer and also can't wait to see him wear his first pair of afos and Beckham is truly a fighter and I love his smile and laughter. By the way seeing Beckham push himself in the wheelchair with his cast on is amazing and adorable.
Congratulations on the quick recovery! Beckham is a little warrior. May I suggest, tho, that you start trying to get him to use the outer ring on his wheelchair instead of using the tire an basically gettin every thing from the floor on his hands.

I am so glad that Beckham has finally got his cast off, I remember my Nana had to get knee surgery and she was in a cast for a little bit and now she has metal in her name, but I am so glad that Beckham can finally do the things he wasn’t able to do beforethank you Jesus. Amen forgiven Beckham newfound abilities.

Sooo excited to see everything in store for him with proper alignment and freedom from pain. What a magical experience to feel your feet flat on the ground with loosened tone for the first time. He now gets to explore the world under and around him just like other kids his age. I don’t say blessing loosely or ever but what a priceless opportunity and gift to start from scratch like this. Omg Beckham is just adorable i wish I can kiss him up❤❤❤so xciting to see thr results of the surgery.....I'm not worried about his walking he just has toget use to having normal legs especially when he wasn't in it for such a long time. He's the unsettling and both of you as his parents are amazing!!!!!! Can't wait for updates!

He is amazing. Prayers that he continues to recover well and doesn’t have to have any more surgeries. I used to wear AFOs when I was a kid. They’ll feel a little funny to him at first, but I know he will be just fine. They will just take a little getting used to because they do indeed feel different than he’s used to but again he will be just fine. He’s a smart boy so he’ll figure out how to work with them.
Beckham is such a sweet little boy! ❤ He reminds me so much of a little boy I used to work with in physical therapy! Just a quick tip, it seems he is going backwards on the gait training device due to not feeling much support at his feet. He probably feels them a bit slippery. I would recommend some shoes over the AFOs for stabilization and comfort for the gait training device. Hope that helps!

There is a s o doubt about it! When you get Beckham next to his Dad, listening to what the procedure about cast removal, one can see the concentration, the understanding, what the machinery will do, and Beckham becomes the exact image of his father! A perfect clone.
Without them facing each other, but just listening, the hospital technician and the action, we see 2 peas in a pod, each one expressing facial connection that is almost identical. “TWINS”! Such a wonderful expression between them, so natural, so intimate, so identical! So Beautiful; Father and Son! 👍🥰♥️♥️
There is so much to learn and understand about Beckham’s mobility, leg flexibility, and progressive program he will need as Beckham grows and understands more about his body and mobility.
It is so interesting to learn this for Beckham, Hunter, Rachel and Sissy’s sakes. A big adventure, for sure, but lots of positive impressions. The more time Beckham can spend in water, with the water pressure, without pain, is going to give Beckham the best positive therapy for mobility, flexibility, comfort, pain free activity, and life long pleasure for water activities, therapy!!! 👍🥰♥️🙏
Hey Mr. Beckham you looked good in your AFOs yours are a cool color. I am so glad you are feeling so much better. You look better when Mom raised the walker up because are so tall now. Tell your mom to lock the wheels the wheels so they don't swivel and put supportive shoe on you, I wear New Balance with Velcro with my AFO's everyday! If you would had shoes on and swivel locked you could have went forward & backwards so fast. Keep trying and keep trying to tell everyone around you what you want or need. It was great to see you giggle while the nurse took your casts off. I could tell you knew where you were at the hospital when the tears came and that's okay too, it's because you are so smart! I say no Baclofen or Botox needed. I know you will continue to explore. Everyone will get used to your AFOs. Hope you have a great rest of your summer before school starts again. Hugs to you from TN!

I use afos daily and the socks that you have
between the afos and skin are itchy. I have noticed that the itching lessen if I
moisturise the skin befor puttning the socks on

Hello it may be ezer if u put his shoes on as AFO are slippery.
He has grown so much since the last time you had him in the gait trainer in a video
Try having Beckham wear shoes with his AFO's when in the gate trainer. Even though the AFO's have grips the shoes will give him more support and grip to move. I've had students with AFO's and shoes help a lot.

A step at a time. He will do it. He is smarter than you think. I can tell by his eyes. He going to be making improvements fast once he starts will be adding him to my prayer list for heeled hips and speech. My friends little girl today in the car from the back seat said I want to go home. I told you she could not talk even at five. A complete sentence on her own.
Beckham might not be quite ready to try walking Rachel (in his gait trainer) but he is STANDING flatly on his feet with straight legs 🥰 👌🏼 way to go Beckham 🤗 xxx
