It was mainly sand at times. I was at the match where they painted the penalty spot, but we were in the Ossie Upper, the other end, so we didn’t know WTF was going on 😂
I’m 61 so I’ve been to most of those old grounds but for some reason I only got 3 right. Now need to check if I’ve got early dementia, so thanks to the quiz creators
That was a photo of the Butler street stand at Stoke's old Victoria ground. It blew down in 1976, apparently it wasn't insured and Stoke were forced to sell players including Jimmy Greenhoff to Man Utd. There were relegated to the old second division soon after.
The west brom terrace though me abit I thought it was st Andrews but it was sort of wrong way round ..I said Cambridge for over watford and I've been to both grounds loads being luton fan
47 yrs old, been 13 of these clubs lcfc including , 8 of these old stadiums ,2 stands pictured stoke and pnes went in both gone now ,Leyton n celtic not been to , supporters around my age will remember the smells and noise and atmosphere of proper English football lol cheep fees and beer
I was in most of these when they looked like that and barely recognised any of them empty. Got Arsenal and Watford. Would have liked to have seen the likes of Goodison, Villa Park and Old Trafford as they were pretty iconic in the 70s.
Can’t be Baseball Ground! It’s got grass on it!😂😂😂

How embarrassing I’ve been to almost all of them during that period but only got one right.
Two, but yes, thought I was bound to know them all 😅
I got 1 right and only because the visible advert was for a Brighton beer. Been to a few and I dont miss them at all.

Great quiz! Got 6 wrong and I’d been to them all in the 70s! 🤷♂️
THAT is not Filbert Street!
Baseball ground twice
lcfc FAN HERE. nOT fILBERT sTREET
I thought that too! No way is it Filbert St
Definitely not Filbert Street, been there literally hundreds and hundreds of times and worked next door to it.
All of them had more soul and atmosphere than modern stadiums..
I think number 10 is the old baseball ground, so two for derby county.
Think so.
Correct, number 10 is the Baseball Ground again. The quiz as got a few errors.
Proper football grounds that had character
A very interesting quiz. I think I got half.
Stokes ground always seemed to have a lick of white paint
Vicarage road 🇧🇪 🐝 when I was a kid . Great memories
5 / 15, Ill get 'me coat
Went to them all in the 70s, other than Celtic Park, first time there in 1988, got 7.
Birmingham St andrews first stadium I went to in 1971 aged 7 ...great days great crowds 45000.55.000 there every week
Nice to see the old Pavilion at Deepdale.
Went to 9 of them and 7 of those numerous times and I only knew 4 of them, though it was over 40 years ago.
Birmingham City play at St Andrews...
Could only manage 5 yet I've been to about 10 of them!
Wow I found that hard and I have been to most of um 🙂🇾🇪✌️
First one is Roker Park........in the 80's!
I only got 5 of them lol, some were tough and only one I have never been to is plymouth
Whats with Maine Road ?
Hard only got two. One I haven't been on Vicarage Road ,and Victoria ground.Only two not been on .Home Park and the Valley.
Got a few and there’s only one O in Middlesbrough

Only got 1.
But thanks.
That is not Filbert St, who the hell put this together
Only got one and I am living on a street built on it, ayresome park. I've been to about half of them, how embarrassing
I think it's the Baseball Ground twice . Definitely not Filbert Street.
Leicester did have a row of private boxes like those in the photo.
Birmingham city should be St Andrews not City ground
Leicester City was Derby County.
Birmingham City is St Andrews and not City Ground.
The first one is not Roker Park and 10 is not Filbert Street.
Its the Basebsll Ground Derby.
Kinda makes a mockery of the whole thing mate.
The first one is Roker Park. It’s the Clock Stand.
Good fun - got two correct. What utter dumps they all were!
Certainly not filbert street
I've been to all bar Celtic, but only got 5 right, Sunderland, Watford, Arsenal, Charlton and Celtic.
Sorry Boro fans, i thought that was Hartlepool 😂
Leicester city not Filbert Street
Leicester was not filbert st you showed Baseball ground again, St Andrews not city ground
Don't know why your calling these 1970s stadia, most of them would have been built in the 1920s or earlier.
Didn't get 2 or 10
I got two wrong
Got 2 /15 pretty crap.
I was in most of these when they looked like that and barely recognised any of them empty. Got Arsenal and Watford. Would have liked to have seen the likes of Goodison, Villa Park and Old Trafford as they were pretty iconic in the 70s.
Learn to spell correctly 😂
😅😂What a load of garbage..
