This made me cry, but the fact Pinkie at the end looked back at Twilight told me she knew what happened, and everything...and that she still loved her anyway, Good old Pinkie.

@@gingermaniac5484 it's ok it's not a stupid question, you see, this is something that some people may not understand but some do, and thats fine. But when you know that the future would not last and things may happen, sometimes you do not follow through with it no matter how much pain it causes for you, but also this can be vise versa and make you wish to be with them even more...I should have reworded it, although some people do completely drop feelings for everything...she would have still loved her but could have pushed her away, but Pinkie decided to stay, her Pinkie being Pinkie somewhat knew....choosing to give Twilight the good memories instead of bad ones. Not everyone is like this, some people push people away when they know things are going to end not well.

The fact pinkie looked back really goes well with her whole ability to just *know* what's happening and confuse the others about it... Makes me think she knew she might not live for long but still enjoyed her time to the fullest..

The amount of trauma that an inmortal must face must be unbearable, I can't even imagine what that feels like, and to tink that Celestia always had a smile in her face even tho that for a thousand years she had the daily reminder that she send her sister, the only one that understood her, to the moon....

People always complain of be lone and they don't want have people because they will just lose them in the end. Pain is the price of Joy of making memories with them. but if you focus on science and magic, then surely, one day you will find a way to have other immortal with you. Those people are just self-defeatist who gave up trying before they even start.
Kinda have start treating everyone with a lesser life span like a pet sure you enjoy playing with them and you'll be sad to see them go but they're gonna die and that's it

It had been centuries since that day. Centuries since Twilight last saw Pinkie Pie, since she last held her hoof, since she last heard her mischievous giggle. But as she held the the cracked music box, she felt like it was only yesterday. A carriage had sped around the corner. Pinkie never saw it coming. She had no chance of dodging it. Twilight remembered Pinkie laying in the cobblestone road, unconscious and bleed profusely as paramedics desperately tried to stabilize her so they could move her to the hospital. She remembered the shattered music box laying a few feet away from her best friend.
She remembered crying over Pinkie's body, the only thing keeping her alive were the life support machines. Twilight cried and begged for her friend to wake up. She stayed by her side day and night, not eating or sleeping, the other members of the Mane 6 occasionally paying visiting. A week had passed, and Pinkie's condition had not gotten better. A difficult decision was made: Pinkie was removed from life support.
Time of death: 2:37 P.M.
Her funeral was a few months later. Twilight had spared no expense to make her funeral as beautiful as possible. Every decision she made, every transaction she made, she bawled her eyes out afterwards. By the time of the funeral, she had no tears left to cry. Twilight stared at Pinkie's grave, feeling nothing but sorrow and regret, an irreversible hole having formed in her heart, in the special place reserved for just for Pinkie.
As the years passed, every other member of the Mane 6 passed away, some from an untimely event, others simply from old age. None of their deaths were any easier than Pinkie's, each one only made that hole in Twilight's heart grow bigger and bigger. And as she stared at the shattered music box, she wondered how her mentor Princess Celestia was able to hide her pain behind a smile. Is this how she felt when her friends each died, and there was nothing she could do but live on for eternity? Is this how she felt when she banished her sister, the only one who truly understood her pain, to the moon? Is this how she felt when she looked up at said moon, a constant reminder of her actions?
Twilight had fantasized about immortality. She had read countless books on immortal beings, either of fiction or reality. But she never took into account the pain they must have felt, the unbearable trauma when everyone they cared about died, and they couldn't do anything about it. They could only live on. It was then that Twilight realized: Immortality isn't a divine blessing, but one of the most horrific curses imaginable.
Tears streamed down from Twilight's eyes. What wouldn't she do or give to see her friends again, even if just for a day. Then she remembered: there was a spell that allowed you to travel back through your memories. The spell didn't last long, only for a minute, but that was all Twilight needed. She wanted to see her friend. She grabbed the book of the shelf, flipped through the pages, and cast the spell. In an instant, she was taken back to the day before the accident, the last time she was with Pinkie. They stared out the window, the birds singing their beautiful songs, the sun shining down from a crystal clear sky. Twilight looked at her past self and Pinkie, cuddling by the window, not knowing that it was the last time they'd be together.
But then, as the spell reached is conclusion, Pinkie looked towards Twilight, as if acknowledging her existence, and giggled. As Twilight was teleported back to her study, she stood their confused. Pinkie, had looked at her, like she somehow knew that she was there. But that was impossible, the spell didn't make you travel back in time, just witness your memories again, so there was no way that Pinkie could've known that she was there. But something else had confused Twilight: for the first time since the accident, she felt at peace. She felt... happy even. It was as if Pinkie's giggle was her way of saying "It's gonna be okay."
How Pinkie knew Twilight was watching them? She may never know, but for the first time in a very long time, Twilight smiled as tears streamed down her face.
This time, however, they were tears of joy.

It's the fact that the show itself is cupcakes, rainbows, and friendship- while the fandom creates fiction that is just so rich with emotion it is astounding! This is a truly wonderful piece- I've watched it countless times, and it never ceases to astonish me. There is true talent here!

I imagine Twilight using that time travel spell quite often going back in time to see Pinkie Pie but she would have to keep track of the dates and times when she visits to make sure she doesn't mess with the timeline and maybe Twilight spent the day with Pinkie Pie in the past and maybe they went to dinner and that extra pinky in that one episode was actually Pinkie Pie and Twilight going on a date and Twilight just didn't realize that that was the day that was the day that they were at that restaurant or something like that
this is a really good theory!
Why are dark MLP fan narratives so freaking fascinating.The level of emotional maturity that a kids show can produce is crazy. The characters have always been so transparent and honest, and always found ways to mend distrust or issues with their friendship. Overcoming horrifying monstrosities and always having crushing levels of responsibility and sometimes they crack under the pressure and need help. The show really had so much to teach for people of all ages, not just kids. Stuff like this animation, shows how influential the show really was. Showing not everything will be perfect forever, time moves forward, and things will change, no matter how hard you've fought to protect and keep those things, those people close. Putting a world like this under a realistic and believable lense, shows how messed up their existence can actually be. Immortality, outliving everyone because you acheieved immortality because you where chosen, while all of your friends succumb to what all things must return to inevitably. I remember one story about a young pony who visited discords statue, and after many years passed, even though discord never said a word, he heard this girls life story, throughout the seasons she would visit his statue, knowing that when all of the main six eventually died of old age, he would be free, and she visited his statue year by year, asking him questions, why he was like he was, why he desired to destroy, what he thought of her, and she contemplated if anything she said even mattered in the end. But she kept visiting. SPOILER IF YOU WANT TO WATCH IT!!!
Eventually after he finally was free, and she had become an adult, he decided he cared about her and didn't want to bring harm unto her, because he wanted her to have a happy life, so he left and never returned. It was really sad, but i don't remember most of it since it was years ago i watched it. But this kind of stuff is why the fandom is cool.

If this is the same story that the original poster is referring to, then I have to agree, it’s so well written, and just as emotional as this animatic is. I found that out later on but I don't like twipie, it makes no sense since it combines twilights first name and pinkies last name. so it would be like twilight x any other of the pies. twinkie sparklepie is better because one combines their first names, the other combines their last names

Theory: twilight and pinkie pie were very close friends that they became a couple pink pie gave her a snow globe to remind her of they're friendship later on the snow globe broke and it reminded twilight of when pinkie died in a very bad incident she had to get good treatment but she die not survive she wanted to fix the snow globe bc it was the only thing that reminded her of pinkie so she went in her furnrel when she passed she started to feel sorrow and guilt bc she wasn't there to protect her when twilight got older and became the queen of canterlot she felt lonely with out pinkie pie when she found the snow globe in a box of old toys she started to have a memory of them being together next to a window but somehow pinkie was able to see her like pinkie sprit was still in her heart and a piece of pinkie pie will be kept with her forever.
I'm not sure I understand the video but it really is sad and I'm really glad to see you're still part of the MLP fandom love you always 💙

In case you are confused, I believe I have a little summary of what you just watched:
A lot of you are digging way too deep into it.
It shows the story of how pinkie and twilight started bonding before seemingly falling into each others interest. Sadly, it doesn't last forever, Something happens to pinkie. What? Who knows... The "Lie" is a mis-translation. It was to say "Why..." As in, why did this happen.
I am unsure what the ending is about. We can see twi looking back into the past at a memory. I am unsure if this was done literally or metaphorically. We know that twi has traveled in the passed before, so its not unbelievable that she traveled in the passed to re-live a memory. This could also explain pinkie looking back at her as if there is a physical awareness, which wouldn't be beyond pinkies abilities anyway, but I am honestly not sure.

Twilight and Pinkie were best friends, and soon they fell in love. Pinkie had gifted her a snow globe of them labeled “Best Friends Forever”.
On the outside, Pinkie seemed as happy as ever. But Nopony knew just how much she was struggling…until it was too late. Upon hearing that her best friend and love of her life was going to jump, Twilight came to the scene as quick as she could, holding the snow globe to help remind Pinkie of their friendship, and how much she meant to her. By the time she got their however, she was too late.
In shock, Twilight dropped the snow globe and it shattered on the same street Where pinkie now lay motionless.
Pinkie is taken to the hospital. Twilight sees the scars on Pinkies arm, indicating that she had been struggling for a while.
It wasn’t long before she was announced dead.
Twilight broke down, sobbing as she tried to piece together the shattered gift. In her grief, she became angry. Angry at the world. Angry that Pinkie “Lied” when she said they would be best friends forever.
Now a fully grown Alicorn, Twilight looks back on one of the happy memories she shared with the loveable pink pony. And Pinkie, being Pinkie, seemingly breaks the “forth wall” to smile at her. 💕

The most beautifully sad is that Pinkie see her adult form lover coming back in time and had acknowledged she would die in future but she still loved Twilight until the end.

My heart was literally beating so fast after it got to that single image of Pinkie’s body on the ground, partly out of the frame, with blood leaking out. As she is my favorite pony- (right next to Fluttershy) -I couldn’t NOT cry watching this. ;-;
I feel like this is an incredibly touching piece, but it absolute torpedoes itself with that flashing light & weird urban setting at the scene of the tragedy. But even with that.. I cried.
Oh... this is beautiful. I never considered pinkie x twilight, I was usually a pinkie x rainbow shipper, but this is fabulous. Even in the context of freinds, (which I'm not trying to imply it is) it's still heartbreaking. Gorgeous art as well, love the style.
This reallly is heartbreaking, As a TwiPie fan, you dont even need to like the ship to know losing a friend/loved one can be mentally heartbreaking, its even worse that the possibility of Twilight outliving her friends is not so far from canon. Bravo, great animation.

Almost the entire video, except for the start and end.. Are memories, memories one could not forgive themselves for. As twilight stared at the old, broken gift, she watched each and one of those... Surely after, she would remember it, the last moments.. Those where she couldn't say goodbye to Pinkie while she was in a well and healthy state.

What I may have understood it by; Pinkie committed s°°cide, well as they say the happiest person is usually the loneliest. And as for the snow globe, it could be referencing that Pinkie is broken/their love is now broken, or many things. The part where Twilight looks at the globe at Pinkie's death scene and how a "dark" Pinkie is behind Twi could show that Twilight blames herself for not noticing that her gf was probably s°°cidal or depressed. Anyways, love the video even made me cry a little 💖💜💚
